Chris Brunt is out of West Brom’s home clash with Arsenal. Theo Walcott faces a late fitness test for the Baggies showdown. Jonny Evans may require surgery on an injured foot. David Luiz is making good progress from a hamstring injury, Steve Kean’s injury worries mount up, while Ledley King is set for further knee surgery this summer:

Chris Brunt has been ruled out of Roy Hodgson’s final match in charge of West Brom this Sunday. The midfielder, who has been in decent Fantasy form of late with a goal and 5 bonus points in his last two games, has undergone surgery to have his tonsils removed – he has been struggling with tonsillitis for the past six weeks now, according to Baggies assistant boss Keith Downing. Peter Odemwingie is still battling to overcome the hamstring injury that kept him out of last week’s trip to Bolton, while Jerome Thomas is also a doubt for the visit of Arsenal with flu.

Theo Walcott may be set for a return for the Hawthorns trip. Arsene Wenger revealed this afternoon that the winger is set for a fitness test tomorrow ahead of Sunday’s vital clash. With a win enough to secure third place, the Gunners boss is desperate for Walcott to be available, with Gervinho failing to impress on the right as a recent replacement.

Reports suggest that Jonny Evans’ foot injury may be more serious than first thought. The United centre-half has missed out on his side’s last two matches after sustaining the injury in the 4-4 draw against Everton in Gameweek 35 – he is thought to be unlikely to feature at Sunderland this weekend. While the club had initially thought a rest would help the injury heal naturally, Evans is showing little sign of making progress, with surgery over the summer now a possibility.

David Luiz is making good progress from a hamstring problem ahead of Chelsea’s game against Blackburn. While the centre-half is unlikely to feature from the start, he is said to be in contention for a possible sub appearance against the relegated outfit – he hasn’t played since the middle of last month and Roberto Di Matteo is keen to afford him some game time, with the Champions League Final against Bayern Munich just over a week away. Luiz is thought to have missed training today, along with Gary Cahill and John Obi Mikel – the latter was unavailable for Tuesday’s trip to Liverpool due to injury.

Steve Kean is sweating on the fitness of a couple of key players for the Chelsea encounter. Paul Robinson and David Dunn are both nursing ankle problems and remain doubts for the match, while the Blackburn boss also revealed Bradley Orr is out – the defender has undergone Achilles surgery. Kean is hoping Gael Givet will be ready for the weekend; the defender was taken off at half-time against Wigan on Monday with hamstring and groin problems.

Ledley King could be set to feature for Spurs in Sunday’s crucial home game with Fulham. The centre-half has missed the last three Gameweeks with his ongoing knee problem after a training ground collision worsened his condition – Harry Redknapp admitted King is set to go under the knife again after the season comes to an end:

For the sake of the club and the team, he has tried to play on, but he has been playing in pain and his movement’s not been as good. Hopefully, we’ll get his knee cleared out in the summer and he will be right again. I’m sure the chairman respects everything he has done for the club and we’d love to keep him around.

Owen Coyle has admitted he is considering how to utilise Chung-Yong Lee for Bolton’s vital trip to Stoke this weekend. A victory for the Trotters and a defeat for QPR at City would ensure the Lancashire outfit’s survival and, with the Korean impressing as a sub in last week’s draw with West Brom, Coyle is keeping his options open:

He came through 70 minutes the other day in a practice match and he’s fit. Whether he’s at the point where he can start games is difficult because we wouldn’t want to do anything that could harm his long term well-being. But for that brief period against West Brom you could see his quality and if he continues to improve as he has done then we’ll have to see what can happen against Stoke.

The Bolton boss is also checking on the fitness of Nigel Reo-Coker and Martin Petrov; the latter limped off with ten minutes left against the Baggies but is thought to be nursing no more than a knock.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

No it wont. You won be able to make substitutions if it s like the UCL one. Quite annoying.
You can make transfers and change captains, but not put players in or out.

No you can't, it requires you to be able to click and drag, one thing that smartphones aren't very good at.

That said for the UCL you couldn't do it on a mobile, but i've just gone to the euro site and this one does have a mobile version, so it will work πŸ˜€

What does everyone think of this i need to win last game of season to stay 1st to win head2head so dont really want to take a hit.(but i suspect my rival will) Here are my options i feel are best.

    Dempsey>Silva/Yaya

    OR

    Dempsey>Maloney(just for the punt)
    Jelavic>Aquero 4 point hit
What option would you take or any other ideas gratefully received.

true...u have to look at the reality...qpr are fighting for relegation...wolves were fighting for relegation too that day...its do or die for qpr..and besides...qpr have mark hughes..who is ex manutd great..and also...a person who was sacked from mancity...so..the odds for me are really against it...
if you think ur oponents are gonig to capt aguero...and if you do the same..you will lose..might as well try some other options..there is RVP who is on form....why even torres and rooney...
united are still going to try to score as many as they can ...im sure...and besides..aguero vs newcastle was not really on form though.. =)
        think about it..^^
its the last game ...so its worth the gamble on other players...as for me ..im gambling on hernandez (C)

Jelly and Bale to Aguero and Maloney sounds a smart move this week for -4, yes? I will still have VDV and Pienaar to cover Spurs and Everton in an attacking sense and currently have no City or Wigan.

Probably wouldn't be the end of the world if he didn't to be honest - this move makes it awkward to bench a midfielder so whoever came in for him I'd be happy enough with.

I'd do Rooney -> Aguero for no hit.
I don't think Maloney will outscore Bale and I don't think Rooney will outscore Jelavic therefore do the move to get Aguero in with the least hits.

Right, every team's expected Euro 2012 defensive lineups, according to me πŸ˜‰

    Group A:

    Poland
    Szczesny 5.0
    Wasilewski 5.5, Jodlowiec 4.0, Perquis 4.5, Piszczek 5.0/Wawrzyniak 5.0

Not entirely sure, but I think Jodlowiec should be nailed on.

    Greece:
    Tsorvas 4.0
    Torosidis 5.5 A.Papadopoulos 5.0 Papasthathopoulos 5.0 Holebas 4.5

Note the two different Papadopouloses - Avraam should start while Kyriakos probably won't. (could play DM though) As far as I can tell Tsorvas is nailed on and the cheapest starting keeper available.

    Russia:
    Akinfeev 5.5
    Anyukov 6.0 V.Berezutski 6.0, Ignashevich 6.5, Zhirkov 6.0

The full backs are nailed on, the centre backs could change, due to injuries, (Ignasevich has a broken toe but could still play) so Vasili Berezutski's brother Aleksei (5.5) could come in. Malafeev (5.0) could possibly steal the keeper spot from Akinfeev but I doubt it.

    Czech Republic:
    Cech 5.0
    Kadlec 5.5 Sivok 5.0 Hubnik 4.5 Pospech 4.5

Kadlec is on pens, so while more expensive, I reckon he's worth the cash.

    Group B:

    Germany:
    Neuer 7.0
    Boateng 6.5 Badstuber 7.0 Hummels 7.0 Lahm 8.0

Howedes could come in for one of Hummels, Boateng or Badstuber, but I reckon this is the first choice lineup.

    Netherlands:
    Steklenberg 6.5
van der Wiel 7.0 Heitinga 7.0 Mathijesen 6.5 Boulahrouz 6.0

With Pieters out for the Dutch, the LB spot is a bit debatable, I reckon it'll be Boulahrouz. Could be either Anita or Schaars as well though.

    Portugal:
    Rui Patricio 5.5
    J. Pereira 6.0, Alves 7.0, Pepe 6.5, Coentrao 6.5

Rolando (5.5) could come in for Pepe who would then move to DM.

    Denmark:
    Sorensen 4.5
    Jacobsen 4.5, Agger 5.5, Kjaer 5.0, S. Poulsen 4.5

Nothing to see here, Denmark are stuck in the group of death with no 4.0 defenders - wouldn't touch them. Also, note Lindegaard probably won't start!

    Group C:

    Spain:
    Casillas 7.0
    Arbeloa 7.0 Pique 7.5 Ramos 8.0 Alba 6.5

Alba should have LB nailed down, and with Puyol out Ramos will likely move central.

    Italy:
    Buffon 6.5
    Maggio 6.5 Chiellini 7.0 Barzagli 6.0 Cristico 6.0

Note, Abate almost definitely won't play! (Maggio is ahead of him for RB)

    Ireland:
    Given 4.5
    O'Shea 5.0 Dunne 5.0 St Ledger 4.5 Ward 4.5

Cheap defence, could grab a clean sheet or two under Trap? Kelly could come in for Ward, Given looks the best option.

    Croatia:
    Pletikosa 5.0
    Vida 5.0 Simunic 5.5 Schildenfeld 5.0 Corluka 5.5

On Croatian authority is this lineup, not entirely sure about Vida, but he should have RB, with Corluka left apparently.

    Group D:

    England:
    Hart 6.0
    Cole 6.5 Cahill 6.0 Terry 6.5 Walker 5.5

England's back line is a bit of an unknown - wait til the friendlies.

    Sweden:
    Isaksson 4.5
    M.Olsson 4.0 Mellberg 5.0 J.Olsson 4.0 Lustig 4.5/Granqvist 4.0

With Majstorevic out Jonas Olsson of West Brom comes in, Granqvist can play RB or CB and could replace Lustig if he plays poorly.

    France:
    Lloris 6.0
    Debuchy 5.5 Mexes 6.0 Rami 6.0 Evra 6.0

Reveillere (5.5) is also competing with Debuchy for RB, but according to Lovzat Debuchy has it.

    Ukraine:
    Shovkovskiy 5.0
    Rakitskiy 5.5 Mikhalik 5.0 Mandyzuk 5.0 Kucher 5.0

Due to lack of Uefa stats the Ukraine lineup is very much guesswork, especially their keepers as they have two injuries and a suspension in that position.

Please feel free to correct me if I've made any mistakes πŸ˜‰

Yeah, goal.com was predicting Karnezis, but Tsorvas has played more qualifiers and is first choice at a better club, I'm not sure, we'll see in the friendlies. If he is first choice then i'm getting him in though.

I'm also not entirely sure on the Polish back line as they didn't have to qualify they've only played friendlies for the last 2 years and its hard to tell.

I don't really trust Goal.com, but their back 4 is:
        Piszczek 5.0, Wasilewski 5.5, Perquis 4.5, Wawrzyniak 5.0

No Jodlowiec, but he is apparently pushing for a place, so we'll see.

Clubs recently promoted from the championship usually try to keep wage structures low, Newcastle were only recently promoted, they've just exceeded all expectations.

    Dempsey | Valencia | Sigg | Bale | Pienaar
    RVP | Roo | Cisse

    my opponnent's attack:
    Dempsey | Rosicky | Sigg | Bale | Kalou
    RVP | Roo | Ade

    I think I'm doing:

    Cisse>Aguero
    Dempsey>Maloney
    -4

    and play

Maloney | Valencia | Pienaar | Sigg (Bale)
    RVP(c) | Roo | Aguero

    different enough??

30pts is a big lead mate. you should pick a captain that he hasnt got. if he doesnt put in ageuro i would definetly make ageuro captain.

also maybe take out rooney for ageuro as rooney is a player he has and cisse aint.

you need as many different players as possible IMO

I know...but I'm guessing he will do Rooney/rvp>Aguero and (c) aguero, I can't afford not having aguero because it might hurt my overall and other ML...
But I will (c) RVP, because i think he won't. and then I will have rooney as a diferential...

well keep an eye on what he does before you make your move. you can work out what he does and counteract it.

i cant see you beating him without having a captain who he doesnt have at all.

you need a captain who scores a hattrick and he doesnt get half those points. maybe a punt on torres or tevez?

ok thats fair enough. any advice for me?

Hi currently 14pts behind leader going into the last gmwk.

My squad at the moment is as follows

              Mignolet krul

              Caulker evans vermaelen turner skrtel

              Dempsey siggurdson vdv bale Valencia

              Rooney jelavic rvp

1ft and 0.0m in the bank

              His squad is as follows:

              Bogdan mignolet

              Williamson Enrique Kompany koscielny caulker

              Valencia petrov bale pienaar cabaye

              Aguero rvp rooney

              1ft 0.0m in the bank

So how is the best way to make up the 15pt lead?

Do I take out rooney for ageuro and make him captain which I think he will and hope the rest of my team can make the points up?

Or do I take a risk on someone like torres as captain hoping he can be a differential and score a hattrick?

Iv also played some mind games to my opponent and told him I will put in aguero to cancel him out but put someone else in to make captain. In doing this I hope he gets put off of makin ageuro captain.

Your ideas and thoughts would be appreiciated. He is already bragging and its doing my nut in!!!!

hmmm...the aguero mind game wasn't a smart move, because if he leads (and knows this game), he will want to get the exact same player you got, in order to cancel you. (it works the other way around as you mentioned it. is he who wants to cancel you, not the other way)

                you
                Dempsey | Sigg | VDV | Bale | Valencia
                Roo | Jely | RVP

                him
                Petrov | Pienaar | Cabaye | Bale | Valencia
                Roo | Aguero | RVP

so what I would do if I were you is play:

                Dempsey | Sigg | VDV | Bale/Valencia
                Roo | Jelly | RVP

                and do
                a)Rooney>Aguero + Jelly> Ade
                b)Jelly>Ade + Roo>Torres (ultimate move)

these are two options...i'm sure there more... but it's complicated because I don't know if you haver any concerns like I do abou other ML...

yuor right about the midfield. i will play as many differentials as possible so that means playing

                  vdv siggurdson dempsey.

im just thinking whether to make a different captain to him or not? he will make ageuro unless my mind games worked

1.This last GW was the first time (i think) yaya socred two goals. so, imo, Valencia will score more than Yaya.
2.Ade has much more chance of scoring then jelavic this GW.

Gooner, hefty back line investment, but horses for courses. One thing to think about is when you might use your WC. You get unlimited FTs after group stages, and quite a few after that. My tactic will be to build a GW1-only squad, WC for GW2 when Fra, Eng, Spa, Ita have played their alleged 'tougher' games.

And keep a close eye on the friendlies.
