Fantasy Football Scout are pleased to announced that we’ll be supporting the Fantasy League Euro 2012 games over the course of the tournament – with Scout Leagues and editorial coverage. This is an exciting opportunity for us to try out a new style of Fantasy game, as the Fantasy League are offering their Pro version of the game, with player auction, for free for the Euro 2012 tournament.
Chairman can set up leagues (with around 8 players the recommended limit) and run auctions offline and online. The online auction facility takes care of player bids and auction rounds, with the chairman specifying other rules such as transfer limits.
It’s a very different Fantasy experience and one that we’re excited to bring to the Scout community. Personally, it was the Fantasy League games that first hooked me into Fantasy Football and there’s nothing quite like a game based on a player auction.
The game is yet to launch but, as soon as it’s available, we’ll be setting up some initial Scout leagues chaired by the likes of Sir Paulos, Andy and myself. Of course, you the community can choose to join these (first come, first served) and/or set up leagues of your own. We will look to support the FFS community leagues by posting league codes and editorial summaries of the auctions and league standings as the they progress through the tournament.
You can of course use the comment boards to set up leagues but we’re also finalising a new Community section which will allow league chairman to submit articles on their leagues. More on that to come.
In fact, there’s plenty more on all this to come in the next 24-48 hours when we expect the Fantasy League to launch and our leagues to form up.
