The Fantasy Flutter: Betting odds on the weekend’s Premier League action 2

Odds for the Gameweek 19 matches are:

The Fantasy Flutter: Betting odds on the midweek Premier League action 5

PAY THE PENALTY

Bruno Fernandes’ penalty-taking responsibilities could help him get on the scoresheet when Manchester United visit Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds have given up five spot-kicks this season, the joint-third-highest in the division thus far behind only Leeds and Brighton.

With Jurgen Klopp’s men more vulnerable in that department than most, Fernandes’ odds of 7/1 to score the first goal at Anfield are attractive indeed.

Those who fancy the game to be low-scoring, considering the two clubs each have two clean sheets in their last four league matches, might prefer going for under 2.5 goals at 6/5.

2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer

Get your single bets paid out if the team you back goes 2 goals ahead – for multiple bets the selection will be marked as a winner.

Applies to pre-match bets on the standard Full Time Result market for selected competitions. Bet restrictions and T&Cs apply. New and eligible customers only.

FOLLOW THE LEED

No team has defended set pieces worse than Leeds in the last four matches, giving up 20 chances from such situations, the highest in the Premier League.

Brighton could take advantage of that, with Adam Webster and Lewis Dunk leading the way for efforts in the box among the club’s defenders over the same period.

Webster is top of that and can offer first scorer at 33/1 while Dunk can offer odds of 28/1 to opening the scoring at Elland Road.

Webster and Dunk are also 11/1 and 10/1 respectively to find the net anytime.

Each Way First Goalscorers

Place an Each Way First Goalscorer bet on any Soccer match.

If your player scores at any time during the game in 90 minutes play, we will pay you out at 1/3 odds for unlimited places.

STRAIGHT OUT OF LEFT-FIELD

West Ham could find joy on their left-hand side when they host Burnley on Saturday afternoon.

The Clarets have given up 40 chances on their right-hand side in away matches this season, the most of any Premier League club.

That could boost the appeal of Pablo Fornals, who is 9/1 to score first at the London Stadium.

Considering Burnley have also failed to score in three of their last five Premier League meetings, selecting West Ham for the result and No for Both Teams to score at 15/8 looks appealing.

Bore Draw Money Back

Feeling bit reckless, which of these makes most sense points wise
    1) Play Justin SOU CHE
    2) Play Bamford BHA
    3) Justin to Cancelo BUR WBA (-4) but it prevents direct Grealish to Son swap in future

    thought on this ?

    a) downgrade Saka to smith row and fund a move for Antonio by replacing Brewster for (-4)
    b) downgrade McCarthy to Areola and then brewster to Antonio for (-4) and then activate BB
    c) Wilson to Antonio
    d) save a FT

this is my team for GW19 without making any transfer as of now
    Martinez
    Coufal, Dias, Stones, AWB
    Son, Salah, Kdb, Bruno
    Wilson, Bamford

    bench- McCarthy, Dallas, Saka, Brewster

In my opinion, if you don't have a strong bench to BB, then you should TC. It's what I'm doing as I feel there's no point kicking the can down the road and waiting for another DGW. We have a very good DGW right here in front of us. Good TC options in Salah and an excellent one in KDB.

TC firmly on KDB. Got to be aggressive with these DGW's; they don't come around often.

Is there a worry that KDB doesn't start both games and gets a rest? I have the armband on him at the mo but wondering whether to go for Salah instead

      1. BenDavies
        • 11 Years
        3 years, 2 months ago

This season, if KDB doesn't play I don't think City is confident in winning. Pep knows this. Without Aguero, KDB is their wincon. He isn't injured and can be rested in the cups. KDB will start both games, imo.

He's rested a lot in cups. Pep said just last month that he is so important to start in the league. I'm not saying it's not a risk, I just think it is unlikely he doesn't start given how important he is.

He has started every league game this season if not injury related. There were only 3 league games he didn't start last season where he could have done and 2 of them were lost, that stat tells a story itself. Pep is fully aware of this.

It's worth mentioning I've seen him look absolutely knackered at the end of game before and presumed he was primed for a rest and then he has started the next one and been amazing.

Starting both and minutes managed if results secure would make more sense to me (and hopefully Pep!)

dude theres postponed matches all the time this year, dgwks will be coming for sure. that said i have a good bench for BB, personally saving TC

I mean DGW's of the size we have this one. The only big one we know about after this is 26. After that, we don't know. The other DGW's will be one or two teams, at most.

But for TC, you only need one (good) DGW fixture. Having several of them makes no difference.

been a lot of fixtures for KDB recently and maybe he will be rested for one of these easier games ... my can is being booted down the road to a time of less congestion and lower covid cases

Villa will play City because I don't think they can cancel another one of their games. Their training ground just opened up today. I can see City playing both games and pummelling both teams, especially given Villa haven't had much training. Feel it's a good opportunity.

This isn’t a normal season, so many games getting called off. There will be plenty of other opportunities, Man City could have a double in 24,26 and 27

      1. BenDavies
        • 11 Years
        3 years, 2 months ago

City will have doubles in those weeks, but those fixtures will not be as favourable as the one they have this DGW, against a porous Palace and a depleted Villa side.

Palace who have been solid recently and the team with most clean sheets this season is another way of looking at it. Man City just beat Brighton 1-0....hardly blowing away teams at the moment

I can’t decide between him and Pulisic. Ziyech probably more likely to return points, Pulisic the potential to return a big haul though. Ziyech rarely enters the box so will rely heavily on assists. Which he is very good at.

I’ve just switched from KdB to Salah because Liverpool more rested.

Normally when I change cappo on deadline day it’s a disaster 😛

I've been set on KDB for weeks but worried he might get rested and not play the full 180.

I'm gonna stick with my gut and go with KDB, like you say.. everytime i change last minute it ends up a disaster!

Free hit, Foden. Anything else, Soucek.

It would be a transfer out soon anyway

Going on with the BB plan.
Bamford and Raphinha -> Antonio and Gundogan? (-4)

I'd be tempted just to do the latter part for free. Bamford still has a good fixture.

Would you bench boost this team?

    Johnstone,
    Zouma, Stones, Coufal, Cancelo,
    Salah, KDB, Son, Bruno, Soucek,
    Antonio,

    Martinez, Bamford, Adams, Mitchell

Is it a bit nuts to triple up on West Ham? (Soucek, Bowen & Antonio)

Also weighing up either KDB or Sterling? Leaning towards Sterling currently. Will KDB start both?

I am about to double up on them (Cresswell and Coufal) to give you some contexts

Not nuts with those fixtures but I'd be going with a defender.

West Ham have improved, but Coufal/Antonio/Soucek would be my only triple if I could do it without a hit.

      KdB over Sterling

Already playing Bamford, but need to play 1 of the below:
    A) Dallas
    B) Holding
    C) Raphina

Thought I heard someone a very outside chance of Leeds getting their double back in Shrews can’t get a team out? Would you play A or C just in case?
