      Punt- Coleman. (Could be golden).
Safer- Coufal or maybe Konsa if you fancy Villa (I don't really).

Good shout too. I just wonder if Leeds will change tactics again against weaker opposition and go all out attack/press etc.

I'd prefer Coufal or Coleman for the punt factor and double.

Does this team look GTG for this GW? Probably saving my FT.

Jota/Shaw benched doesn't seem ideal but have 6 players from that game in my squad.
    Martinez.
    TAA, Rudiger, Dallas.
    Salah, Bruno, Lingard, Greenwood.
    Iheanacho, Kane, Watkins.
    Steer, Jota, Shaw, Burn.
1ft, 0.3m ITB, No more chips.

Week 36 on schedule to be played on May 11/12
Week 37 matches supposedly moved to midweek. (May 18/19)
    FA Cup final 15 May
What am i missing? Why would you have blanks in 36 from FA Cup?

    1. Gleys11
      • 3 Years
      2 years, 11 months ago

Maybe thinking is that week 36 games will also be moved from midweek (11/12 May) to Cup Final weekend.
But Man U - Leicester and Chelsea - Arsenal could still be played midweek. FPL could just leave the deadline as Tuesday 11th.

My point being that as far as I can see Blank/Doubles are definately not set in stone.

Everything you have stated is correct. Just AVL, EVE, CRY and SOU in GW36 is listed by Ben Crellin as one of his other possible DGW schedules.

        Other possible schedules:

Every team apart from AVL, EVE, CRY, SOU, MUN, LEI, CHE, ARS Blanks in GW36 and every team apart from MUN, LEI, CHE, ARS Doubles in GW37

AVL, EVE, CRY, SOU Double in GW36 and no Blank GWs

AVL, EVE, CRY, SOU Double in GW37 and no Blank GWs

He reckons Man U, Leicester, Chelsea and Arsenal doubling in GW35 is 70% certain, but I reckon it's less than 50%.

Another option would be everybody doubling in GW38 if the GW deadlines remain as they are, and fixtures are moved forward a week.

So how i see it their is a real possibility the only doubles are AVL, EVE, CRY, SOU.
Is always the possibility Crellin has a bit more insight (and I have made decisions in the past which have worked out based on his predictions), but this time is a bigger risk.
Sit and wait as long as possible hehehe

Personally think you’ve missed the boat on impact for wildcard. Could use it in 35 but your forced to play the dgw and not the players you actually want on form. Tricky one

    3. pingissimus
      • 5 Years

      Yes

Wood is not chasing - this getting in a form striker - something Bamford clearly is not. He has same number of returns as Nacho since 27 (both have one hat trick). Also Brighton away is a poor fixture - they are much better home in defence and have conceded few goals recently - finally matching their XGC

Wood has a good run in too with Fulham and SHU to come plus WH who are leaky.

  16. Holmes

Vardy. Wood will not do that again, the last hattie he got before this one was in 2013

Vardy is Vardy. Not at his best it seems any more but Leicester look decent and he has every chance of a decent return

Burnley have a really curious home and away record recently.

    Away in last 6

    Goals 11
    Conceded 12

    Home in last 6

    Goals 5
    Conceded 6

This is all on back of fairly neutral fixture list (eg have played Newcastle Fulham and WBA at home)

I don't think it's so much to do with home and away. With no fans it makes less of a difference this season

One good win against even worse opposition. One bad loss against good opposition, One moderate loss against very good opposition and the rest are all tight as far as I can see

About what you would expect for a club like them

      1. pingissimus
        • 5 Years
        2 years, 11 months ago

        Disagree

They have been approaching away games very aggressively if you watch games. They took exactly there same approach to the Spurs and Everton fixtures for example - one worked one didn't. All their away games have been goal tests really

If you think this is what you'd expect from a club like Burnley - check their season averages. This is way out.

        Palace
        3-0

        Spurs
        0-4

        Everton
2-1 (should have got more there)

        Southampton
        2-3

        United
1-3 (their one fairly defensive game)

        Wolves
        4-0

Tell me that that isn't pattern when you look at their home results which are all 2 goal games at most and have equivalent fixtures.

The thing about averages is that they are formed from batches of results. Teams never score average results all season at any stage of a season. Real life does not work like that

          1. pingissimus
            • 5 Years
            2 years, 11 months ago

I'll try again - your averages comment rather misses the point 🙂

A third of all Burnley goals this season have come in the last 6 away games. They are second top for goals scored in away fixtures in that time. That's Burnley who have only scored 30 goals all season.

I don't buy this is variance for a second. Watching how they've played only backs this up.

Burnley have got that narrative of fortress at home and attacking away. That reputation was perhaps more predictable in seasons past (what wasn't), and Cheese makes a good point about averages, but if you're looking at Chris Wood, say, there's something in it

    good or bad?

    1. Cheeseoid

Well you are moving on someone who is a doubt to play due to peptation and plays Chelsea the following week which is far from a cert for a clean sheet. Also Man City just are not getting the number of clean sheets that they were earlier in the year anyway.

And you are getting a player with an upcoming DGW (we assume it is next week) who when fit is a cert to play. So yes it is a good move

The DGW is a difficult one imo. I think all of the games will be tight low scoring affairs but I do not think they will be goalless.

Digne is at 12.8% to rise just now and the deadline is tomorrow so there is no rush. If possible wait until next week when we will hopefully have all these fixtures we don't know about firmed up.

If you can't then go for it I would say.

Wow.. covered almost every angle, thank you! this very move is intended to add more players for the posible DGW35 and with a easy fixture for the GW36.

Was also planning on getting Zaha for GW35 as Palace on paper might have the easier DGW opponents.. what is your thought on Zaha?

I am just about to leave work so not much time.

Zaha is one of these players who can be very dangerous in spells. I think I would definitely wait until next week before pushing the button on that one. Him and Siggy are the only mids I would consider for the DGW

In my opinion he is a valid option

The Leicester story really is incredible.
They only have 3 players left from the final match of that title winning season (Schmeichel, Vardy and Albrighton), after which they plummeted to relegation zone. What a reinvention.

Bruno might have a double in GW35, and bringing in Bale would leave you with triple Spurs in advance of potentially seven other teams that are not Spurs playing twice in 35

TL;DR wait to see if there's an announcement re a DGW 35 this week before you make a move 😉

Nice but I'd play Greenwood over Coleman personally.

Villa haven't been blanking much - poor as they have been. Fancy United for goals as well against the high back line and Greenwood must be a good candidate.

      1. Neo-Viper

I am caught in the same dilemma myself. Me think Everton have gotten tighter at the back with Allan fit and running. Don't see Villa scoring there.
Also, I will keep an eye on Klopps presser, if he say Nat Philips is out, which means Fab into back 4 again, I will definitely play Greenwood over Coleman or TAA.

        Cheers for the suggestion.

Morning dzzz, what moves here with 2FTs and 2.3m itb. plan to FH36. planning to only make 1 move so i have 2FTs going into 35 and end up with 9dgw35 players + Salah/Kane. Plan to bench TAA and Lingard 😯

    Mendy*
Rudiger* Shaw* Taa --- Holding* Veltman
    Bruno* Greenwood* Salah Lingard Jota
    Kane Nacho*

A: Jota >> Bale (punt in 34) who will become maddison/zaha (in dgw35)
    B: Jota >> Maddison
    C: Veltman >> Castagne/Digne

Yeah B is the sensible option. However, if i bring in maddison now, i am not sure what 2 moves i will make next week.

hence thinking of just doing a 1 week punt on bale before deciding whether i want maddison or zaha for dgw35

Surely the Leicester double is the most in doubt? The could play it the midweek after the final?

To be honest, can't they just announce these fixtures yet haha

I need to use my WC followed by BB but I don't think I'm going to risk it without confirmation....

The second half of the Leicester double will be really unappetising and they're not getting any more games than anyone else with the blank.

I'd ignore the DGW scenario and look at form and fixtures.

Is it worth a -8 to get Kane in then use triple captain, would lose Vardy and Taa in the process??

      Quick maths:

      Kane plays 60 minutes, scores a hat trick, picks up no cards and gets full bonus: 2 + (4 * 3) + 3 = 17

      Difference between TC and C, less hit: 17 - 8 = 9

Looking at this GW in isolation, the difference in points between (Vardy + TAA) and their replacements would need to be > 9, or Kane would need to score > 3 goals, for it to work out. Then you've got next week, and the next, to consider ...

Nah a chip is too valuable to use it just to disguise a couple of hits

Thanks all you’ve talked me down from my cliff just praying Kane and Spurs have an off day 🙂

I might still make the transfer. I just wouldn't use the chip

Or find the cash for Kane another way.

    Digne / TAA / Dunk / Requilon / Phillips
    Salah / Lingard / Bruno / Greenwood / Rapinha
    Watkins / Nacho / Vardy

    1 FT
    0,1£ ITB

    A) Bruno —> Son
    B) Other?

As much as I would like a Spurs player for the Shef UTD game it might just be worth holding the transfer if we dont get more news about the potential double gameweek in 35. Would be valuable having the 2 free transfers next week if the doubles are confirmed

Thoughts on Mount -> Sterling? 1FT, 4.7 ITB.

    Shaw Kabak Coady Rudiger N.Williams
    Bruno Mount Jota Lingard Burke

    Mendy
    Shaw/TAA/Rüdiger
    Son/Lingz/Jota/Bruno
    DCL/Kane/INacho

    Forster/Saka/Coady/Coufal

have 2 FT and don't know what to do? maybe DCL --> Wood or get Salah in?

      • 7 Years

I would hold DCL until news of the doubles. He could have a double in GW35 and a game in GW36. I would look to move on Coufal or Coady for an Everton defender to cover the potential doubles
