Harry Kane (£11.8m) has reclaimed his powerful presence inside the top 10,000 Fantasy Premier League for Gameweek 34.

His ownership at that level fell to 79.9% as Spurs missed out on Gameweek 33 due to their involvement in the EFL Cup final.

Ahead of facing Sheffield United on Sunday evening, Kane has clawed back a large number of those who sold him for the Blank Gameweek.

Blank Gameweek 33

Gameweek 34

As you can see from the two matrices of top-10k templates, Kane has increased his ownership at this level by 12.9 percentage points between the two most recent deadlines.

That was not enough to help the Spurs man reclaim the top spot among forwards, with 95.0% of the top 10k now in possession of Kelechi Iheanacho (£6.2m).

Son Heung-min (£9.5m) has also been a transfer target for this season’s top-performing managers.

In Blank Gameweek 33, he had 70.0% ownership at this level, increasing it to 79.2% after Friday’s deadline.

It would appear that Bruno Fernandes (£11.5m) has been the fall-guy for those investing in Son.

The Manchester United man has lost 6.7 percentage points of ownership at this level over the last seven days.

Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) is likely to have taken away some of Fernandes’ backing ahead of Gameweek 34. Despite facing Manchester United on Sunday, his top-10k ownership has increased by 3.9 percentage points.

Ollie Watkins (£6.6m) continues to cling onto the third spot among forwards but did see his top-10k ownership drop to 29.8% for Gameweek 34.

A home meeting with the Premier League’s worst side has produced some unsurprising results as far as the Gameweek 34 captaincy goes.

Kane has amassed the armband support of 88.6% of those at this level, by far the most of any player.

There is a gap of 84.1 percentage points between the number who backed Kane and those went for a Son captaincy.

Meanwhile, 3.2% opted for Iheanacho and 2.3% went for Jamie Vardy (£10.3m).

As a result, Kane commands very high levels of effective ownership in the top 10k for Gameweek 34, his figure rising as high as 181.3%.

That number is close to double Iheanacho’s effective ownership of 98.1%.

Jesse Lingard (88.4%), Son (83.4%) and Salah (82.9%) complete the top five, which has finally lose Fernandes (74.8%) as one of its long-term residents.

The chips were largely untouched for Gameweek 34, unsurprising given the recent confirmations considering Double Gameweek 35 and Blank Gameweek 36.

Moving towards the final four rounds of the campaign, 14.4% of the top 10k have a Bench Boost left to play.

Meanwhile, 7.4% have their Free Hit in reserve. 3.1% are yet to use their Triple Captain and 4.1% are holding fire on their second Wildcard.

73.7% of the top 10k have exhausted their chip supply for the campaign while 23.9% have used three of theirs.

Yeah I think my GW36 team will be awful if I FH this week. Seems like I can get pretty close to the FH template with a hit so I'm fairly happy with that

How does everyone pick their captain out of interest? I personally enjoy picking a differential and often back a player against the template such as nacho this week but honestly my captain returns have been really poor the last 2 seasons so I'm considering just backing the scout poll leader next year each week even though it's a bit boring. I'd be interested to know what others do!

The favorite pick is usually that for a reason, I tend to go with it more often than not; like to go differential when people are split.

Home game + Easy game is my criteria. Sometime it leads to differential pick, sometime a popular one.

Dont think any of my differential captain has worked this year though.

    3. WE GO FOR IT
      • 9 Years

I've not captained the most captained player in 6 of the last 8 GWs. The only times i did was Salah in GW31 and GW33 (because my ML had sold him so captaining him was the differential). Move from 324k to 180k as well.

The most popular choices are there for a reason. They have form and/or fixtures. Whether or not you got that pick depends on a lot of reasons. Just because it hasn't worked for you this season doesn't mean it won't work next season. At the end, it's your differential choiced which will help you beat the other managers who play around you. Going with the obvious picks wil get you up to a particular point, but if you want to jump over that, it's these differentials which will help you. Also, I feel it's better to go differential captains than players as you are just stuck with them for one week instead of long term. Like captaining Son over Kane is a better differential than getting someone like Bale or Moura in.

I usually look at what the easiest game is but primarily for big hitters (Kane, Salah, Fernandes). Those are most consistent so I rarely veer away from them which usually means I have the most selected captain.

Yeah I’d guess so. I have 8 but that includes Fofana, Holding, Rudiger and Alonso. Surely they won’t all play both.
Going to focus on one attacking double and save 2 fts for the blank I think.

Foff been off at 60 and now 45 mins. Which has me a bit concerned - he’s clearly preferred but the Ramadan rest seems real.
Rudi I’m with ya, he should be good.
Alonso probably won’t get either start against MC and Ars.
I’d like Shaw in but then he blanks. Still might be worth it.

Probably Alonso out - maybe for Digne maybe for Dallas.
Potential to move from Mendy to Meslier of Guaita (or Forster to Guaita).

Depends how my JRod punt goes this week and how ambitious I feel. Currently OR 301 so pretty nervous about doing too little or too much. Top 100 is my aim which is 20 points away.

Lack of energy, having no food or drink the whole day due to Ramadan.
Cameras caught him drinking a juice and eating a banana during the game, when it was finally dark enough to do it. Fofana banana.

Utd play 3 games with 2 days rest between. Surely that will affect them so maybe captain Son/Vardy/ Salah this gw for me ahead of Bruno.

Also which dgw midfielder is the best this gw?

Zaha and Greenwood seems popular. Followed by Sigurdsson.

Problem is palace don’t score a lot of goals.

Ole will likely rotate, fatigue could be a problem for Utd after travelling for the Roma clash with just 2 days rest before & after the Villa game.

Might have to consider Siggy or JRod tbh

Bruno will play both games. He might get subbed off early in the EL game if Roma don't look like they will pose a threat in the first half.

Cavani's minutes will be managed. Rashford has to be managed as well. So, Bruno and Greenwood should start both the games.

Question before I pull the trigger on FH -

We already know about DGW35 and BGW36. Do we expect GW37 and GW38 to be normal?

          Keane or Digne...

Anyone know why Keane didn't play against Arsenal?

          Hi

Is 6 DGW players enough do you think?

          Thanks

Yes I think so. The issue is that there are no stand teams with two attractive fixtures that week.

I currently have 7 and may get a couple more to take it up to 9.

To get to 6 players I would need to take a -4 though.

That's nothing given the returns you might get. Be aggressive with dgws.

I would have to take a few hits though -8.

No stand out fixtures really apart from Palace and I don't want to go there, this is why I was thinking Everton players?

EVR don't make much appeal to me. They never score many goals and cs are fairly sporadic.

There fixtures are fairly good for the run in.

Who do you think I should get in for the DGW? I am struggling as also concerned with the BGW.

                      Much appreciated.

          Hi

Do you think these re good moves for DGW35?

          A. Mendy > Pickford
          B. Vydra > DCL or Richarlison
          C. Something Else

          Mendy | Forster

          Veltman | Shaw | TAA | Dallas | Holding

          Son | Maddison | Jota | Salah | Lingard

          Iheanacho | Kane | Vydra

          Much appreciated.

Phillips if declared fit before the GW deadline, Struijk, Thomas, Bryan are also options if you don't mind taking the rotation risk that comes with them. Options much better at 4.3m if you can find the 0.1m

A Kane (c) hat trick will put me top of my ML with the three people above me surprisingly not owning Kane (all had Vardy instead). C’mon Kane!

Digne having only 1 double digit score throughout the season is pretty surprising
