Any changes needed to this team chaps?

    Sanchez
    TAA, Shaw, Coady
    Salah, Jota, Torres, Benrahma
    Ronaldo, Antonio, DCL

    (Foster, Ayling, Sissoko, Livramento)

Hoping to be able to stretch to Raphinha/Dier over Benrahma/Ayling with price changes.

    Cheers!!

I'd drop Lukaku to DCL and beef the midfield. Three premiums is one too many until later in the season when our budget's allow it.

Exact same WC but Tierney instead of Reguilon and Ayling for Coady. Guessing your TV is a bit higher than mine. Having serious doubts with Gray, thinking downgrading the 5M def to 4.5 (Henry/Other) and upgrading Gray to Sarr. The 6M Mid is a better price point than the 5.5M (only Mbeumo, ESR and Gray)

Was ready to say its too unbalanced with the 3 premiums but it actually looks really solid. You're sacrificing Torres/Jota/Greenwood who will all be rotation risks for Lukaku who is nailed. And Gray gives you some Everton coverage vs DCL at least.

I like it. The squad avoids the extremely common error I'm seeing this week of stacking the midfield with mid-price ROTATION RISKS. You have only one, Benrahma (and any squad can tolerate one or two) in an otherwise nailed squad. Even your subs are nailed starters.

        1. Catastrophe

It's not my squad although my current WC has Jota and Torres and I am considering changing to the one above! I really want Shaw though, so hoping I can get a few price changes in my favour before the deadline.

I've got a Sky game which is a bit different, so the bonus points rewards good passers, tacklers and there is dodgy MOTM awards.
For virtually the same cost do you prefer:
    A - Grealish, DCL, Lukaku
B - Dias, Allan, Cristiano Ronaldo
There is no bench and limited transfers so having nailed on players is important. Dias has been brilliant on Sky because he's nailed, gets lots of clean sheets and City players get so many passes. I also need an Everton captaincy option.

I don't understand why you've got Allan at 7.8 when there's Gray, Benrahma, Sarr, and so many other better options at that price?

      1. schlupptheweek
        • 9 Years
        2 years, 7 months ago

Gray, Benrahma and Sarr are good options, the issue is they are unlikely to get shooting, definitely not passing or tackling bonus. Benrahma has done well for me but Gray could be a good alternative to Allan if he can keep his goal involvement.

    5. Harry the Hack

      1. Torres is cheaper.
      2. Biggest concern for Torres was Harry. Then it was CR. These things didn't happen. There is no power forward. Torres position is much more more likely to score points than Grealish
      3. When Kdb is back, Grealish is no more nailed than Torres

    6. Ginkapo FPL

I own Grealish and I'll tell you why I'm likely getting rid.

      1. He's not nailed. Pep roulette is real. I don't think he's any more nailed than Torres is.

      2. He's positioned very wide left. That is the more important reason. He's not getting into the most dangerous positions to score.

I'm not going for Torres either but if it was between them, I'd go Torres because he's 1m cheaper and he's playing in a more dangerous position.

Eric Dier should be a decent 1st sub, right? I'm guessing Romero replaces Sanchez? Anyone else you'd prefer up to 4.9 (preferably not Wolves as I have Sa). Think I'm going with a dreamy, set & forget back 3 of TAA, James, Chilwell (maybe Rudiger as placeholder til the latter starts), but will need a good 1st sub to handle Chelsea rotation. Other subs Allan & Livramento.

Is Southampton a good fixture for WHU? I’m debating moving off Benny early on WC, with future rotation risk, to save transfers. Would likely be for Raphina.

Means i can use transfers to help build my team towards Chelsea assets in GW7. And covers Leeds nice run from 5 onwards.

Yes I think so. West ham have the most in form, fluid and confident attack in the league other than city. They are an in the mood and have the ability to score three or four vs saints.

Newbie question - If going with Watford GK's on WC, is it then not a good idea to technically 'triple up' with Sissoko for a bench fodder mid?

Correct, there are other options that don't lock you out of, say, Sarr if you wanted him.

Would you rather take a -4 hit or lose 0.1m on a player ?

Ok I think my WC is pretty much set for now, I know it is light at the back but as Raptor says 'You can't own everyone'.

    Bachman
    Trent - Coady - White
    Salah - Torres - Sarr - Gray
    Lukaku - Ronaldo - Antonio

Bench: Foster - Gilmour - Livramento - Brandon Williams

You can also only captain one player per GW!

86 returns and 80 baps in his last 99 starts... it's not just this season he's been looking like a monster 😉

Agree, Trent is the sacrifice. Hoping VVD can stay fit and score well too. Can eventually downgrade Jota when Firmino is back to fund VVD to TAA.

Think it can work. Trent is an amazing asset, but arguably over-revered on here. Many paths.
