We at Fantasy Football Scout are always keen to hear feedback and learn from our site readers, podcast listeners and YouTube viewers, so we’ve put together another mid-season survey for you to have your say.

You might remember the end-of-season survey that we carried out before the start of 2021/22. We were delighted to get over 1,000 responses to that, and it’s been absolutely crucial in helping us move things forward and to see where we stand.

Following up on that, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could spare 15 minutes or so filling by filling out this latest min-questionnaire which can be accessed by clicking here.

Separately, if you’ve used the Fantasy Football Scout Transfer Planner since its implementation a few months ago, there’s a separate survey for that here. This one will take less than five minutes to complete.

          I’ve got a similar WC draft. Have 2FHS but don’t really want to use in GW27 so can’t decide on Foden or Jota. Think Foden too much of a rotation risk but people saying Jota may have less game time now.

            No that’s my thought the only thing is it means I get a team out for GW27 and I have Broja as cover but no sure I risk it. Thanks

      I have similar wc draft at the minute, leaning towards eduoard over Antonio due to already having Bowen from WHU. Free up a bit of cash aswell for any future transfers.

        I’ve done this too. Antonio has looked leggy too and Palace fixtures long term better.

          Agreed, I went a while without Antonio after his crazy start but brought him back in for the fixture turn. For me he just doesnt look like having a haul left in him. Apart from the week after i take him out (obviously).

      Another option dependent on Salah return would be to have KDB in there and then switch him out for Salah if his return is delayed due to AFCON progress and potential rest to recover.

      Depends if you are protecting or chasing rank I think.

      Salah over Bruno over KDB in terms of damage to your OR if not owned.

      If you are spending -8 to get out a valid BB then it reduces the impact of the BB by 8 points before you've even started. These guys would need to get you 22 points to make it worth it. I don't think they will get you 22 points.

        Only reason I'm considering is I have already used my WC and currently have DDG Sanchez and 2 Fts for this week.
        So could get BB out of the way and focus on maximizing my starting 11 for the remainder of the season

      There can always be a COVID outbreak. At the moment, the blanks are caused by the League Cup final so if nothing else happens, the fixtures are set.

    With a lot of WC activity in this window I am interested to know what peoples GK plans and strategies are.

    I myself am weighing up whether to WC and currently have Ramsdale (whom I bought in at 4.5) with Gunn reserve. DDG is tempting with their fixtures (and the DGW). However given the value that I have in Ramsdale I am looking at holding and doing Gunn > Sanchez as a plan B. Brighton have a DGW also and the rotation with Arsenal looks quite good for the remainder.

      I would be looking at Pope personally just for pure volume. But I plan on WCing around 30 so will see.

      I'm going Sanchez and DDG until DDG doubles, then changing him to whoever hits DGW periods (Pope/Ramsdale).

      It's very easy imo.

      Ramsdale - Sanchez. They dovetail great and have loads of games in hand. Sanchez doubles in the week Ramsdale blanks and Ramsdale has 4 games in hand after GW27.

      If Salah plays gw24 and 25 you will not survive. They play morocco in the quarter do decent chance Egypt goes out. Ivory Coast suits Egypt better than morocco, they play more attacking and open style which is better for Egypt because they are well organized and good in transitions. Egypt tend to struggle if the opponent plays more tight and defensive, which Morocco usually do. Anyway, Salah plays vs Leicester if he is not injured, 4 days from final to Leicester game, that is not a problem and Klopp have no luxury as Pep dies, so he plays. 75min

    I'm not thrilled about the DGW as only have DDG, and don't really want to destroy my team for Brighton or Utd options.

    I already have KDB, want to prioritise getting Salah over Fernandes, and not interested in Ronaldo.

    Reckon it is a valid approach to avoid Man U attackers altogether?

      I think so, Brighton are a solid outfit who rarely concede more than 1 goal, in fact they’ve only conceded more than 1 5 times this season and those include city and Liverpool

      Saints are bad on their but we need to remember this is still a generally mis firing United side

      I’m on wc so will include Bruno but if think you’ll be fine without

    With the number of fixtures to rearrange it might turn out that all 20 teams play twice in GW36 so you could get out a full team of doubles and a strong BB without even trying

    FanTeam season long game is very interesting compared to FPL.

    It might even be changing my thinking a bit in FPL. There are no FHs and just the one WC available. How would you navigate 27 if you had no FH?

    I'm thinking of just straight up picking Bruno over Salah there because the fixture runs are:
    Liverpool - LEI bur NOR blank
    United - bur SOU/BHA lee WAT

    That's 2 full extra fixtures and that also assumes Salah is back for GW24.

    I'm still inclined to get Pool in FPL because of FH but without it, I think I'd reconsider.

        Yeah just the two games but they are Ars, Lei, Liv and Che.

        I have 5 players from that lot. So I think I'm gonna lean into a FH27 strat and go triple Pool until then.

      Shame that this didn’t get many responses but most fanteam comments don’t.

      It is indeed a very interesting challenge especially as I’ve done my second wc in most teams. Gw 27 is easy enough to navigate but 30 requires either hits, an acceptance of a low score or 300 iq planning bordering on clairvoyance.

      I love it and the challenge posed and I’m definitely getting Bruno for this stretch. Salah is also more fairly priced on FT and kdb/Bruno/mane cheaper so forced you into interesting decisions

            Would be interesting to hear about people’s second wc strategy on Fanteam, especially Josh (when did he play it the year he won?)

            I imagine dead ending into 30 and second wc in 31 will be a popular strat but that seems to straddle fixture swing weeks…

        Hmm so I ran some different permutations and I think I'm most happy with:

        Bruno in for 24
        Roll FT in 25
        Bruno > Salah in 26
        Salah + Jota out in 27
        WC28

        My bench is pretty handy so I should be able to make this work.

        WC28 is very likely since we'll know the GW30 blanks and I can setup a bench to deal with that whilst also buying back Salah + Chelsea players.

          WC28 looks good and a Bamford return would be a nice bonus for that. Certainly a player I would like to return to help my strats in both FPL and FT.

          And Mount to Bruno in 24 makes perfect sense.

          But isn't the beauty of Bruno that you can just hold him until your WC? - isn't there a bit too much chopping and changing in a desperate attempt to get Salah for one week (admittedly if he does double in 26 then it's still the play)? Yes he plays almost every fixture but Norwich falls between a UCL tie and a cup final so it' a bit risky as a one-week ploy.

          Spurs seem more likely to get a double and a nice fixture (for Son and Kane) in 27 so they would fit into my thinking here. Yes that double would be Brighton and Man C so 2 good defences, but a) Son has a fantastic record v man c, and b) Fanteam's points system seems to reward double appearances, even without returns, more generously than fpl.

            FanTeam's scoring favors DGW players quite a lot. 90 mins x2 is 6 points in FanTeam plus any shot on target points.

            I will always want to captain a DGW midfielder if I have a chance this season.

      I'll likely have TAA, Salah and White from thos 27 teams, no problem selling salah for one gameweek as there is no price loss then rebuying game after and bench can do the rest. Generally planning to dead end into 30 and wc back out to take advantage of the 31-38 doubles.

      Zero chance in GW24. GW25, a small possibility (the fact that it's now little more than two weeks before it starts would suggest not, however, given the notice needed for fans, police etc). I'd assume more smallish DGWs for GW26 onwards are more likely to happen now.
