Eagle-eyed subscribers to Fantasy Football Scout may have noticed a few new additions to the ‘Player Stats’ section of our Premium Members Area.

By popular demand, and off the back of feedback in our recent surveys, we now have added Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points as an option to our tables – so, for example, you can now see how many points that players have racked up over their last six matches, in home/away games or by any other sortable filter in the drop-down menu.

Above: All players sorted by total FPL points over their last half-dozen games

But it’s not just total points that you’ll find in the Premium Members Area.

We’ve also added Minutes Per FPL Point (Mins/Pt) and Points Per Start (Pts/Strt) to our Player Stats tables.

These are particularly useful tools if, for instance, we know that a player is set for a string of starts after being a rotation risk earlier in the campaign.

New FPL points stats in FFScout Premium Members Area 2

Above: All players sorted by points per start in 2021/22

Manchester City assets – if we can ever be sure that they are set for a succession of starts – are a fine example of this. Kevin De Bruyne (£12.1m), who had a stop-start beginning to the campaign, is now back at somewhere near his best and racked up eight consecutive starts before Gameweek 25’s tactical breather. When he makes Pep Guardiola’s starting XI, he averages 7.1 points a game.

Compare this to the Belgian’s overall points-per-match average in FPL (5.4), which is skewed by five substitute appearances when he wasn’t one of the first names on the teamsheets earlier in 2021/22.

We’ll be using these new stats in articles going forward and we hope that you’ll find them useful for your own research.

A huge debt of gratitude (especially from the editorial team!) goes to matzi11a and TopMarx for their work in getting these new additions live.

And remember, if you’d like to ‘try before you buy’ with this or any other feature of the Premium Members Area, we continue to offer a free trial.

First FH chip activated. Want Coutinho and Bowen cause they have good sgw games. I am not the happiest with that attack but went with Son so dont want to doble up with Kane and Dennis has two games. Any other major changes?

    Ramsdale
    TAA Tierney Coady
    Salah(C) Son Bowen Coutinho Jota
    Lacca Dennis

    3.9 Edouard Sanchez 3.8

Not sure on Laca & Coutinho. I don't think I'd have either if on a FH.

I'd much prefer Saka over Laca (and Coutinho), so he'd be in there for sure. Then you just need to find a striker instead of Laca - maybe Weghorst if fit.

Want to bring in Salah. I need to take a -4. Do I do:
    a) Jota and Watkins to Salah and Broja;
    b) Jota and Coutinho to Cornet and Salah

Cornet would be the better option for this week but going forwards, Burnley look pretty dire. That said, he may benefit from Wout being out. Broja would give me 1.3m to investment elsewhere too.

the guy above is bringing in Jota and Coutinho on a FH … surely you have a way of holding Jota and getting Salah ?

      1. The Big Fella
        • 9 Years
        3 years, 9 months ago

I could keep Jota but then I'd have to get rid of either Robbo or TAA. Both offer attacking returns potential and a good chance of CSs. Jota will be rotated I think. I think I will get rid of Watkins but keep Coutinho.

As below, I'm going to bring in one Arsenal player. I can't get more as I already have 3 Pool and I don't want to force a FH in GW27.

I'll get 1 Arsenal and sell Jota in GW27 so I have 2x Pool and 1x Arsenal on the bench that week

Have no Arsenal for their excellent double game week. For GW26, would you do...

    A) Coufal > Tierney
    B) Trossard > Saka (would mean benching Antonio)
    C) Antonio > Weghorst (if fit)

Who scores more this coming GW:

Wouldn't be removing Ramsey - cheap enough to bench and incredible form.
CR7 to Laca is quite a tasty punt. Just depends on what you're doing in 27 for the blank.

    Current XI
    Pope
    Tierney, TAA, Cancelo, Coady
    Bowen, Son, Salah, Jota, Raphinha
    Dennis
Bench : DDG, Maupay, Cash, Watkins
    0 ft 0.4 itb

    Am I g2g?
    Play Maupay for someone?

Currently thinking TC but I'd like an opinion on BB this team with perhaps Weghorst/JayRod/Jimmy in place of watkins (-4)

Yer, sounds like a good approach.

I'm gonna FH27 so might bring in Jrod. Otherwise, wouldn't. Toney --> Broja v soon.

Toney has nice fixtures after 26, thats if he is fit.

                  I think I'll keep him until 28 or 29.

This is the week that Offside Watkins hauls … from every owner’s bench.

Yer, definitely. He's been great for me. I should bench him less. Certainly never third bench again.

I think that stat is a little misleading. Did you see him against Lei?

Oh, I will absolutely be TC him … it’s Salah after all … I just wonder if he is quite the dead cert this week for TC … but I agree it’s as good as done … dangerous to over think it … and at least if he disappoints he disappoints for everyone.

    Proposed BB this week:

    Sa*
    Taa* Air N* Tierney*
    Salah*(c) Jota* Bowen Bruno
    Dennis* King*

    Foster* Broja Dunk Ramsey

    1FT. 5.2m ITB.

    A) Foster to Ramsdale
    B) Bruno to Saka
    c) Watford Forward to Laca
    d) Two moves for a -4

B, any DGW player you have is a dont sell this GW, I know it might sound silly but keep any DGW player and then sell in 27. I have King, Son etc, want to sell but with DGW it wouldnt make sense to sell.

Cheers. I have doubts about Foster bringing in anything more than a 2+2. Maybe 5 in total. So a -4 to replace him with Ramsdale - who could easily bring in 15pts, might pay off. I think Arsenal have the best combined fixtures of the DGW in terms of keeping a cleansheet. .

Yeah, maybe. I just wouldn't take a hit for it. Wolves are dangerous on break as evident yesterday, i know it was spurs and all. And you never know what Brentford could do

Definitely no sense in wasting a transfer on swapping a DGW player for another - even if more likely to outscore (you know it'll be the week Foster saves a pen or something).

I think B - I'm doing Gallagher to Saka, Bruno in one gameweek is < Saka in two.

Wildcard, 1 FH, TC and BB left, what option best here:

    A) TC Salah DGW26, bench 3 Liverpool players on BGW27 and play FH on BGW30

    B) TC Salah DGW26, wildcard on GW 28 to get rid of Watford and ManU players and get at least 9 players from BGW30 (3 Arsenal, 2 Aston Villa, 2 Wolves, 1 Leeds, 1 Leicester, for example) and save FH for later

    C) TC Salah DGW26, FH BGW27, wildcard on GW 28 to get rid of Watford and ManU players and get at least 9 players from BGW30

Current squad with 1 FT and 0.3 ITB:

    DDG - Foster
    TAA - Cancelo - Dawson - Mee - Livra
    Salah - Jota - Bruno - Bowen - Gray*
    Dennis - King - Antonio
