Eagle-eyed subscribers to Fantasy Football Scout may have noticed a few new additions to the ‘Player Stats’ section of our Premium Members Area.

By popular demand, and off the back of feedback in our recent surveys, we now have added Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points as an option to our tables – so, for example, you can now see how many points that players have racked up over their last six matches, in home/away games or by any other sortable filter in the drop-down menu.

Above: All players sorted by total FPL points over their last half-dozen games

But it’s not just total points that you’ll find in the Premium Members Area.

We’ve also added Minutes Per FPL Point (Mins/Pt) and Points Per Start (Pts/Strt) to our Player Stats tables.

These are particularly useful tools if, for instance, we know that a player is set for a string of starts after being a rotation risk earlier in the campaign.

New FPL points stats in FFScout Premium Members Area 2

Above: All players sorted by points per start in 2021/22

Manchester City assets – if we can ever be sure that they are set for a succession of starts – are a fine example of this. Kevin De Bruyne (£12.1m), who had a stop-start beginning to the campaign, is now back at somewhere near his best and racked up eight consecutive starts before Gameweek 25’s tactical breather. When he makes Pep Guardiola’s starting XI, he averages 7.1 points a game.

Compare this to the Belgian’s overall points-per-match average in FPL (5.4), which is skewed by five substitute appearances when he wasn’t one of the first names on the teamsheets earlier in 2021/22.

We’ll be using these new stats in articles going forward and we hope that you’ll find them useful for your own research.

A huge debt of gratitude (especially from the editorial team!) goes to matzi11a and TopMarx for their work in getting these new additions live.

And remember, if you’d like to ‘try before you buy’ with this or any other feature of the Premium Members Area, we continue to offer a free trial.

    Do you think the below would be worth another hit already taken one hit.

    A. Foden > Saka

    or

    B. Johnson > Tierney

    Thanks

        No Arsenal at all. Just concerned on takin a -8. Do you think Tierney is a good shout? I was thinking of attacking midfielder like Saka.

    Is Bowen essential for the next 3 GWs? Newcastle (H), Wolves (H), Liverpool (A). Not easy fixtures. How many points we think he scores?

      I guess if you're WCing immediately after that & your midfield is really congested you could gamble on removing him for Wol & Liv but he's probably going to be in my starting 11 every game for the rest of the season

    I have had Reguillon for a few weeks now but have had enough...
    Best to change to a Wolves def?

    Also planned to change Jota to Salah this week but that might be Bruno instead if he doesn't perform against Brighton!!

      Id look to sell both Bruno and Jota.
      I think Jota minutes will be threatened by everyone back and new signees.
      Selling Reg for Wolves def also good. Their defense is solid. Ait nouri is cheap but not nailed maybe Coady also good option.
      Good luck!

    Which two would you pick?

    A. Ramsdale
    B. ARS defender (and who?)
    C. Saka

    or

    D. All for -8

    Moving out two or three of DDG, Digne, Jamsey; and FH27.

      Tricky one, how many FH's have you left? I have 2 but not using one in 27, be better opportunities later to use FH. Hence I'm not buying any Arsenal. For some reason I can never trust them. Been bit more solid lately but then couldn't break down Burnley at the Emirates.

        I've got one FH left. Was thinking 30, but now leaning towards 27 to a) load up on ARS and b) keep ARS/LIV for the GWs following 27. Also, GW30 might not be that problematic to navigate: can work towards it over next few weeks, have decent spread already, and some cup upsets might happen.

    Would you stick with this team (8 DGWers) or take a hit to get an Arsenal player? (Dias to Tierney/Gabriel).

    Foster*
    TAA* - Ait Nouri* - Cancelo
    Salah* (TC) - Jota* - Bruno - Bowen
    Dennis* - King* - Weghorst*

    DDG / Ramsey - Dias - Livra

      Fixtures that are def on at the minute are:

      Wolves v Leeds
      Villa v Arsenal

    Wildcard, 1 FH, TC and BB left, what option best here:

    A) TC Salah DGW26, bench 3 Liverpool players on BGW27 and play FH on BGW30

    B) TC Salah DGW26, wildcard on GW 28 to get rid of Watford and ManU players and get at least 9 players from BGW30 (3 Arsenal, 2 Aston Villa, 2 Wolves, 1 Leeds, 1 Leicester, for example) and save FH for later

    C) TC Salah DGW26, FH BGW27, wildcard on GW 28 to get rid of Watford and ManU players and get at least 9 players from BGW30

    Current squad with 1 FT and 0.3 ITB:

    DDG - Foster
    TAA - Cancelo - Dawson - Mee - Livra
    Salah - Jota - Bruno - Bowen - Gray
    Dennis - King - Antonio

          I wont be using a WC to build for 30 no.

          I’m saying you could be astute in using it so if you were to save the FH in 30 you could cover some of the primary bases.

          I think i’ll still FH in 30 but will play WC in 28. Need to get rid of a lot of deadwood and hit the decent fixture swing.

    Alot going big on Arsenal? Are they essential for this DGW or a trap with the blank in 27? I guess you have to weigh up which will get you more points, a few Arsenal assets in DGW26, or saving FH for BGW30? My bench for 27 will be 3 Liverpool and avoid FH

    Looking at the following -4, what you think? Most likely will FH in 27.

    Bruno+Antonio+Martinelli >> Salah+Broja+Saka (-4)?

    DDG
    TAA. Tierney. Reguilón
    Bruno. Jota. Bowen. Martinelli
    Kane. Antonio. Edouard
    (Foster, Ramsey, Cancelo, Dalot)

      I'm coming round to the FH in 27 over 30. I like those moves, annoying Martinelli got sent off but think the move makes sense. Foster over DDG? Cancelo over Regulion also worth considering

      1. RAFA THE GAFFA
        • 9 Years

        Sorry Foster over DDG for sure. And then Reg vs. Cancello is tricky. Even benching Ramsey with Watford at home isn’t ideal.

        How many FHs you got left mate? I’m still on 2 here

          You're sorted if you have 2 FHs left. I've only got the 1.

          I think 27 makes more sense as I already have 2 wolves and 2 arsenal, along with Raph and Ramsey so can add to Arsenal this week and then FH in 27 and have them in place for potential double in 28. The games in GW30 make me think its a low scoring GW so 8 or 9 of the main players will be fine. Your team is well set you could use the FH outwith 30?

      If he’s out then he drops to my bench and I bring in another DGW forward … so hopefully we get something solid before the deadline.

    Thoughts on Laca punt for DGW26 with potential DGW28 in mind?

      Best striker pick for me if using FH in 27

        Last 6 matches played Laca has the most big chances out of all strikers, on top of that he's also created the most chances

          Oooo nice to here that! May try with him, can't be worse than all the strikers I had up to this point...

    Best moves for GW26?

    0.4 ITB, 2 FT
    Foster // Sánchez
    Trent Cancelo Reguilón // Coufal Livramento
    Jota Foden Bowen Raphinha // Silva
    Ronaldo Antonio King

    (A) Ronaldo + Silva --> Salah + Weghorst
    (B) Ronaldo + Silva --> Salah + Broja
    (C) Ronaldo + Silva + Antonio --> Salah + Jiménez + Broja (–4)
    (D) Ronaldo + Silva + Antonio --> Salah + Jiménez + Weghorst (–4)
    (E) Ronaldo + Silva + Antonio --> Salah + Broja + Weghorst (–4)

      C - even if Salah, Jim, & Broja all get red cards, you'll feel so good shifting Ronaldo, Silva, & Antonio you won't even care.

      Not considering any Arsenal?

        I only have one free hit left and I'm saving it for GW30. Here's my likely team for GW27:

        Sánchez
        Cancelo Reguilón Coufal
        Son Foden Bowen Raphinha
        King + 2 of Antonio/Jiménez/Weghorst/Broja
        Livramento vs. Norwich first sub

          I've only the 1FH. Was thinking GW30, but now very likely to use it in 27. Fixtures in 30 not looking as strong in my opinion, and ARS games 26 & 28 onwards are very good.

          That's not a bad GW27 squad. From those, I'd have Jimmy and (if fit) Weghorst, and then move one of them to Broja for 28 onwards. If Weghorst isn't fit, then Jimmy and Broja.

          I'd still suggest an Arsenal player (or two). Maybe Silva --> Salah, Ronaldo --> Bur/Broja. This should give you enough funds for Antonio --> Laca or Raph --> Saka?

          (Sorry if some of those transfers are non-vi cos of £ or something).

    I know most people's plan is to free hit in 27. However my squad is:-

    Sanchez / Martinez
    Dias / Cancelo / Coufal / Ait Nouri / Tomiasu
    Foden / Jota / Pogba / Bowen / Zaha
    Antonio / Ronaldo / King

    I believe only Tomiasu and Jota blank in GW27 sdo I could definitely get a team out.

    Therefore should I Free hit this week (get a team full of doubles or near enough), normal GW276 and then WC on 28?

      Alternatively I could do 4-5 transfers to get more doubles but that is 12-16 points

    Which SGW players are still essential if you are doing a FH? Only Bowen + Cancelo

      Essential = none.

      But Bowen and Cancelo could easily outscore any DGWer.

      None essential but you’ve named the only two you’d have to have a bit set on you to bench.

    I haven't moved early on a transfer all season, but I moved for Mo on Saturday, as he'll prob double rise before this gw starts at a minimum.

    Makeweight was Watkins -> Weghorst.

    And now I see Weghorst is crocked lol, sods law.

    How bad did it look? Reading it was his knee which is a bit worrying, or was it more a precautionary change?

    Would it be wise to use your FH in GW27 and then WC in GW28. I have both FHs left.

      Is there not going to be a bigger blank in 33, there usually is most seasons?

      I know there is one in 30, but should be another heavy blank after that.

      That's my plan yes. Or maybe if ARS get a double in gw28, I might hold wc for gw29. Don't want to keep them outside of a dgw

        Arsenal and Chelsea have the best mid-term fixtures though.

    I'm going to BB this GW.

    Who would be the cheapest striker with two games you'd go for?

    I have Dennis & Kane currently, as well.
