FPL 2012/13 Is Now Open

And we’re off….Having released the Player Price List earlier on this week, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game is now officially up and running for the 2012/13 campaign, allowing us to tinker with our teams ahead of the big kick-off on Saturday August 18:

In conjunction with Tuesday’s revelation, our coverage of the player valuations continues to pick up pace. Having rolled out our analysis of the Goalkeepers and Defenders, we followed that up with a look at the Midfielders earlier this afternoon – no prizes for guessing the Forwards are on tomorrow’s agenda.

For now, though, let’s not waste any further time – our patience has been tested enough. Head off to the official site and get your team registered for the new season, folks, and let the planning begin.

        No but their defence was for much of the season. The lack of cs's and rotation risks makes them a no for me. Fill your boots if you disagree.

      As it stands Terry, A.Cole & Ivanovic all currently nailed on and should be very solid. I think they will be one of the strongest this year.

    What are everyone's thoughts on the acceptable spend for keepers? 10 or 10.5 even...or are we aiming for 9 or 9.5 rather?

      Even 11 is ok imo if it includes Hart, depends on the needs of the rest of your team. I personally would avoid a £9m combo.

      I think 9mil will do okay because QPR will be solid, might start with more expensive though until the other 4.5s distinguish themselves

        Yeah but just for GW1 i think Lamps could be a good shout. He just knows to get into right position at the right time and nick a goal! But gametime is a concern pretty much. Hazard on the other hand is not proven in the premier league and could be risky.
