Win £10,000 for free with Fantasy5 – pick the best players for Gameweek 6 2

HOW TO PLAY

It’s as simple as this: pick five players from the nominated Gameweek 6 matches below and, if they all exceed their ‘points targets’ (a par score set by Fantasy5 for each asset), you’ll be in the money:

  • Brentford v Leeds United
  • Chelsea v West Ham United
  • Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham
  • Aston Villa v Manchester City
  • Manchester United v Arsenal

Even if you don’t succeed in getting all five right, Fantasy5’s leaderboard allows you to win prizes beyond the £10k jackpot.

We have selected our own picks for Gameweek 6, which can you can read below.

The deadline for this week’s entries is at 15:00 BST on Saturday 3 September.

SCOUT’S GAMEWEEK 6 PICKS

Eight players defeated their points target during Gameweek 5, with the £10,000 unable to be won because no player succeeded during Bournemouth v Wolves.

All five of our picks were unsuccessful – what were we thinking, doubting that Erling Haaland wouldn’t score a second successive hat-trick!? He did, whilst Ilkay Gundogan (8.5), Raul Jimenez (6.5) and Andrew Robertson (7.5) all blanked.

So here’s who we’ve settled on this week…

Luis Sinisterra (6.5) arrived at Leeds with exciting reports based on his time at Feyenoord. As a Raphinha replacement, it was satisfying to see him score against Everton in his first start for the club and bring in ten Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points.

The next two picks play for the perceived underdogs, starting with West Ham’s Tomas Soucek (5.5). His midweek goal against Tottenham was certainly due, having totalled 1.05 expected goals (xG) up to Gameweek 4. He faces a leaky Chelsea defence that has conceded eight goals in four outings.

Spurs assets have been given high points targets at home to Fulham, such as Harry Kane (10.5), Dejan Kulusevski (8.5) and the out-of-form Son Heung-min (8.5). The Cottagers look a decent side too, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid (5.5) playing all 450 minutes so far and netting against Brentford in Gameweek 3.

Man City’s trip to Aston Villa comes just before a string of games against Sevilla, Spurs and Dortmund, so it’s fair to assume ‘Pep Roulette’ will take place at Villa Park. Joao Cancelo (7.5) is a more secure starter than most and was removed in the 68th minute on Wednesday night, with a clean sheet and goal to his name.

Finally, Bukayo Saka (7.5) is on three assists so far and long overdue overdue a goal. Arsenal get an extra day of rest than opponents Man United and are top of the league with five wins from five.

HOW DOES FANTASY5 WORK?

Win £10,000 for free with Fantasy5 – pick the best players for Gameweek 6 1

Fantasy5 is easy to play as it follows the exact same scoring system as FPL, just without the bonus points.

It’s also the fastest media outlet for live Fantasy points, displaying all player points from the five games in question, as well as the live score and time.

For the more detailed lowdown, head here.

The competition is limited to one entry per person per round and selections must be submitted before kick-off of the first eligible match.

If two or more entrants correctly select five players who all score more than their points target, then the prize pot is split among all winners.

One more note I added over the week regards Sterling.

Jorginho has been horrible and most fans want him dropped. In short few weeks when everyone is back and fit Chelsea will have

    Kante/Kovacic/Zakaria/Gallagher/RLC/Jorginho/Chuk fighting for 2 spots

Won't be surprised if we see less and less of jorgi.. which will make Sterling first choice penalty taker if he isn't first choice already(whether this is a good or bad thing though is up for debate since he I believe he has scored 4 and missed 4.. took 2 of 3 last season though)

    1. GinjaWhinja
      • 16 Years
      3 years, 3 months ago

It's a good point, but a few caveats...

Kante and Kovacic are always struggling with fitness issues. Zakaria seems to have been brought-in to provide cover for their position.

Gallagher doesn't play well in a double pivot. RLC is favoured on the right wing, not in a DM pivot. Chuk will likely only get cup minutes for now.

Wouldn't be making any moves expecting this to happen this half of the season. Maybe after Christmas however.

      1. Valar(Keith)
        • 16 Years
        3 years, 3 months ago

True. I'd say it's first choice kante + kovacic when both fit. Zakaria in for one of them when out. Rlc won't play RWB much since James will be out there more often than not. Can handle playing in a double pivot pretty well. Ideally i would like to see chelsea set up as

        Mendy
        James Fofana Silva Koulibally Cucu/Chilwell

        Kante Kovacic/Zakaria Gallagher/RLC/Mount

        Auba Sterling

Ie 3 in the middle and 2 up front. That third spot in the front 3 is a mess and they have 3 capable advanced midfielders

        1. GinjaWhinja
          • 16 Years
          3 years, 3 months ago

I'd still favour a 4-3-3 I think given the personnel...

          Mendy
          Fofana Silva Koulibaly
          James Kante/Zakaria/Gallagher Jorginho/Kovacic Cucurella
          Mount/Havertz Sterling Auba

Jorginho and Kovacic are interchangeable given their ball-control traits. Kante, Zakaria and Gallagher are runners and will go beyond.

    Current team is:

Harrison & Aaronson are more nailed but Sinisterra's place should be safe enough if you want to punt on him. Only seen about 60mins of Sini (+ a few friendly cameos) so its early days to assess him, but Harrison / Aaronson share set pieces, Harrison is doing solidly for chance creation / assists & Aaronson is a very dynamic 10 with both goal & assist threat

The biggest one by a distance is the manager.

We have been on a downward spiral for months. It baffles me how people outside of the clubs he has managed still see Rodgers in a positive light. He inherits good teams and destroys them, then refuses to take any responsibility.

His system doesn’t work, we don’t create chances and we concede buckets of chances. Only thing we can do well statistically is pass it around the back. He is now throwing everyone under the bus other than himself… presumably waiting for the payout when he is sacked.

We are simultaneously being screwed by UEFAs new ffp rules, but the squad is still top 10 capable imo. If Rodgers stays I fear for relegation.

Yeah, I think the failure to replace Schmeichel properly could really sting and by January.

Holding on to Maddison was massive though and he'll have to play out of his skin to get Southgate to even consider him but the defence and GK situation look worrying.

Iversen is our better keeper, but Rodgers has backed Ward… Narcissistic can’t be seen to be wrong.

Schmeichel was poor last year anyway, I’m not sure he’s a major loss. Maybe in the dressing room.

It’s all about tactics. We only have one plan, no plan B, and plan A simply does not work. Rodgers has proven himself incapable of addressing any of our issues over the last ~18 months. And they are the same issues over and over.

If you need to burn a transfer I'd probably look at changing DaSilva

I am very happy to keep Salah. He is damn expensive to get back plus if you exclude Rodrigo and Gross as they won't be the highest scoring midfielders come end season, only one player has scored more points than Salah and that is Haaland.

How many time have you and will captain Salah going forward ?
Assuming that Haaland is injury free.

          So you'll captain 13m player once ?

No, Pep has changed his story every GW about whether Haaland will start or not.

Salah is still a massive cap option.

Pep will not tell you before game if Haaland is starting or not.

Back to my question, how many times will you captain Salah going forward?
How many times have you captained him so far ?

I have capped Haaland once, in GW2.

I can cap Salah when CL is in play. I can cap Salah if and when I want to as he is still a massive cap option.

Salah has always played 90 minutes after 90 minutes. I don't see Klopp benvhing him.

Yes I do. Him and KDB are my 2 premiums which I captained so far.
This was a massive mistake and as result I'm sitting around 5m OR.
After this weekend I'm getting rid of Salah buying Haaland and will permanently cap him going forward trying to make up lost ground in other positions.

Alvarez will play many games with Haaland according to Pep.

Till now there has been cheap supporting acts like gross and Rodrigo - when they fall off salah needs to be doing so much more to support his value
