FanTeam’s World Cup Fantasy game has now launched!

In less than four weeks, FPL will be on the back burner and we’ll be sitting down to watch England face Iran, France play Australia, and Germany clash with Japan.

FanTeam have beaten the competition to the punch by launching their World Cup game and you can begin selecting your team right now.

Choose a star-studded line-up from the world’s most elite talent. Fancy Harry Kane (£12.0m), Kylian Mbappe (£12.5m) and Lionel Messi (£12.0m) in the same side? No problem!

And we at Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to be partnering with FanTeam to bring you detailed game rules, picks, team reveals, strategy guides and more ahead of the big kick-off.

The contest has a similar scoring system to Fantasy Premier League and will be played over seven Gameweeks, starting on November 20.

(UNLIMITED TRANSFERS UNTIL THE WORLD CUP STARTS!)

CASH PRIZES

FanTeam's World Cup 2022 Fantasy game has launched 1

There are two different entry routes for FanTeam World Cup entrants.

The main game requires a £5 buy-in and is restricted to one team per user. There’s a minimum prize pool of £50,000, where the winner bags at least £5,000.

For those who like the old-school FanTeam with multiple teams allowed, the £20 buy-in tournament allows up to 25 entries per user. It boasts a minimum guaranteed prize pool of £100,000 and first-place wins at least £10,000.

As both options have a progressive prize pool, the £100,000 and £50,000 will continue to rise with each new entry beyond the minimum guarantee.

HOW TO PLAY

Both money routes have the same format and rules:

  • £90m budget (increasing to £95m later in the World Cup)
  • Pick an 11-man team – so no subs!
  • A minimum of one goalkeeper plus at least three defenders, two midfielders and one forward

As for discovering how to score points, we’ll bring you a more detailed article next week – but regular FanTeam users will already be familiar with the scoring system, which is very similar to FPL.

Spurs lose a few games and their fans go into meltdown. Wasn't this expected?

Madness. See some people on BBC asking for Conte out lol you’d swear they were world beaters. The fact they are in the top 4 and still have potential to progress in the UCL still is good in itself

their best bet is the FA or League Cup whilst Conte's there. They can forget the PL or CL.

I think the bigger worry is if Conte goes into meltdown and jumps ship. It has happened before and he's been non-committal about his future of late (and even when he signed given his abnormally short contract)

Liverpool no.9s used to do the pressing so the two wingers could score the goals.

Now the wingers press and the no9 struggles to replace the goals scored by the wingers.

    Liverpool look a mess as a 4 4 2 and as a 4 3 3 with Nunez as a non pressing no.9.

Robbo and TAA developed under a system to supply the wingers and all that's been ripped up.

No synergy between the forwards and the full backs.

Yes the attack used to have clear patterns of play and now it looks scrappy and they rely on brilliant moments.

Mane used to do a fair bit of pressing too, they've missed him. Read an article today that showed how he didn't press at every possible opportunity, but he pretty much knew just how and when to press (think in general his high presses resulted in the ball being turned over within 5 seconds or something similar).

They need to go back to 4 3 3 and make Darwin press. Problem is his link up play is not good.

            True

I think the FT might need to be used on something else anyway (pending Haaland news)

FT on Perisic would be a luxury move I guess given there’s a chance he plays

Same here. Got at least one higher priority to move on (Firmino /Sinisterra/Scamacca). Perisic looks good and usually got Andreas first on bench if he doesn’t play

I suspect there will be other fires to put out and most have a decent bench if required by now. Only for another few GWs and he'll get 2/3 pitch time for sure, if not all.

Erling Haaland has been cleared of serious damage to his foot. The #ManCity striker was spotted limping into the Manchester Institute of Health & Performance today for examinations and routine tests, but left smiling, without crutches or a protective boot.

LIV have scored 3 brilliant goals tonight but you can't replicate that every game. They've lost the high number of goals they used to score around the 6 yard box by Mane/Salah.

Being facetious. Theyre on a cleanie against decent opposition, creating chances and winning comfortably. They just lack consistency. The quality is there and only seem to get the set up right 50% of the time.

Ajax are not decent, they sold off 6 first team players that won them the league and replaced them with lesser talent.
What is the set up? They've scored 3 goals in 3 different positions. It's random football.
