I have a similar issue where I have 4 forwards after making a transfer and just four defenders.

I created a second team after the WC started, to test a few things due to the numerous problems others were having. My first team is behaving correctly but the second team won’t allow me to sub players on or off. Looking at my team pages, they are in slightly different formats.

Team 1: subs show GK, Sub 1, 2, 3
Team 2: subs show Sub 1, 2, 3 and then the GK (this is the team where I can’t make subs or transfers - it shows I have 0.5m in the bank when I should have 4m)
