Having rolled out a Selection Guide to Goalkeepers earlier this afternoon, we now switch focus to the Members Projections for our search for the men between the sticks. While Joe Hart predictably sits out on top, we focus on value in this first Members article, examining those keepers who are expected to deliver the best points per million ratio for the season and the first six Gameweeks…

    Houghton = Baines

    3 goals so far from Left-Back including a free-kick.

I have great suspicions that FFS was involved in advising the fpl on pricing. The more I look at potential options/variations of my team, the more I realise how cleverly the pricing system is this season.

FPL are good like that every year. 'tis part of what makes it the best game around; painful decisions that need real thought. The game would be crap if you could just select everyone you wanted

Fair point. In other fantasy games sky and ESPN there are players that are priced way off. Either way too cheap or way too expensive for their initial value.

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Santi Cazorla who has agreed a 4 year deal with the club

Great signing. Anything less than 9m and he's in when their fixtures get better.

In fairness Luck is factored a lot into this game. Unless your a mathematical genius and can number crunch the stats and make projections, I doubt you would finish extremely high.
A lot of people on here only finish in the top 100k-200kish. Mainly because they allow thier biases to influence their decisions.
But I do agree it is a lot of good info for free. But FFS kinda like the NHS people need their Fantasy health looked after regardless of their level of income.

its either green/davies for a cheap choice or ddg/davies for a more expensive but more promising combination. looking at the fixtures i think the latter rotate almost perfectly in terms of when utd have hard fixtures, southampton have "easier" ones

After reading that, am thinking de Gea might not be such a bad option after all, cheers. I was gonna go Vorm/Green, but might now stick de Gea in, with maybe even a £4m benchwarmer alongside (unless I can spare the extra £0.5m).

Yeah, am a little concerned about the defence but may stay strong with the budget tactic.

Only got Lamps as well because of the DGW - keep swapping him with Yaya but Fatty's got the spot at the mo. If i 'downgrade' to Yaya i might bolster the defence - or swap Ade out (if he don't stay at Spurs) for Aguero.

Dropping Demps if he moves from Fulham - but while he's still there he gets the nod.

He's playing for Brazil at the Olympics too so I can't see him playing many minutes at the start of the season. I'm taking a wait and see approach for the entire Chelsea midfield, and going for Torres and two defenders.

Spoke about him earlier....those 4 pen saves distorted his total last year and the odds on him repeating that are obviously against him. With Boyce pushed forward at wing-back at the same price and Alcaraz 0.5 cheaper, I just don't see Al Habsi presenting value.

hmmm, interesting. I kinda led the Al-Habsi bandwagon on here. Don't fancy either Green or Migs as i need to double up. Foster interests me, but the cheap rotations just don't. Not prepared to go over 9.5 on keepers

The problem with Habsi and his pen saves is that if he does get any, they will most likely come in games that you won't play him in anyway, presuming you're rotating.

that is indeed the plan. Migs would be first choice, but Cuellar is 0.5 less. Don't fancy the Jussi/Bego rotation, not the QPR double up with Green. Might have to go Foster/Bego

Plus he was pretty influential at the tail end of last season and even bagged a couple of goals.
