I love it. We all know we can't have everything but this covers most imho.
I still think Hazard+Kagawa is too much uncertainty - 18.0 on players who haven't ever played in the PL. If you must have Chelsea coverage then Mata is the one for 9.5, the main worry for him when we first started RMTs was that he'd have a long olympics and that's off the cards now. Personally I'd forget the 9.5 Chelsea altogether after GW1 and go for Bale if fit.
And for Utd, can you not find 0.5 extra for Valencia? A must-have towards the end of last season when he got fit, and showing no sign of letting up.
Saying that I don't mind having ONE of those two, but two just seems needlessly risky.
Completely agree, im thinking of getting Bale in after the first GW depending on how he is playing obviously... If he aint playing so well then I might look at other options
Midfield is really dodgy. In Hazard and Kagawa you have two players who may need time to adjust to a new league, I would wait to see how Taarabt starts before putting him in as he was poor last season. It's worth starting with more realiable performers from last season- Pienarr, Bale etc for midfield. Perhaps save a bit of money on your defence and upgrade your midfield?
I see your points, I see Hazard as a good pick due to the fact he will be starting with going against the easier sides and he seems to be settled into the team already within preseason, so dont see him as much as a risk. Kagawa is for United coverage and think he will proceed quickly in the league with the comparisons where he came from. Pienaar is however a gd pick but everton always start slow.
Hazard may be a good pick, as may Kagawa and I may take one, but I wouldn't start with both. I'd wait until the Charity Shiled to see Chelsea's line up and performance before deciding who to take from their mid. Man U start with tough away game to Everton. Could wait to see how they do in this before taking one of thier midfielders.
I think Everton will surprise this year. It's when cliches such "Everton will start slow" are thrown about that the rule book gets chucked out 🙂
Haha so true but then it will be hard to shave the money from somewhere, maybe Lampard could come in for Hazard then I could use the 0.5 to bring in Pienaar. for Taarabt..

Not sure how much gametime Ramires will see in the double gw. If Yaya continues his attacking mid role in charity shield I would have him for GW1. Don't see many clean sheets from the gk combo. Good front three and defence, even if the defence is a bit expensive for me. If bale is fit I'd have him over Siggy. If you downgrade one of Cole, Lescott or Jones you could upgrade one of your midfielders, most likely Guthrie or Noble.

Already have Sunderland cover is not an excuse! Cuelluar may or may not be your best option, dont dismiss that avenue so quick.
Cuellar is the cheapest option, but maybe looking at Migs and getting a different rotation to Newcaslte/Sunderland could work.

Well then Aguero because he will undoubtedly score the more points and wont be rotated as much.
However Tevez will continue to score good points and is a world class talent for 9 mil. Which is why I said both.
Guess the question really is will Aguero score over tevez enough to justify the extra 2.5 mil, that im not so sure about.
In other words i have no clue. Flip a coin...

Any love for VDV? An attacking midfielder (presumably more so than Siggy) on penalties, with good fixtures and a good FPL history over the past couple of seasons for 9.0. I've not seen him in many RMTs and he has less than 5% ownership.

I have 2 million set aside for the obvious Torres-Rooney switch. My main dilemma is whether it's worth finding 2.5 million to get Aguero in for Tevez, possibly by putting Pienaar in for one of the pricey midfielders, but as an Everton fan I always anticipate a slow start.

I remember having Phil Jones as an OOP for a good long time two seasons back. The problem with OOP defs that play DM is that will frustrate you in the hope of attacking returns while ruining potential def rotations while you stubbornly hold on for dear life just cos he's an OOP

They can shut up shop when they need to with the new formation. You can look at stats from last season but in my eyes you should only look at them from when they changed their system, which is very good. This is why i believe Al-habsi should have included in this article. The final Wolves game was unique as it was the last one of the season.

I discussed Al-Habsi earlier. Mark seems to think there is no real value and the peno saves distorted his actual total. But short of doubling on Sunderland/Fulham or finding a new defensive rotation I don't see much better for 5 million
I understand his thinking that there are better outfield players like and Boyce and Alcaraz but we only have 5 slots for defenders, we can't fit all of them in, especially ones that rotate. At some point we will have to commit to a keeper that has a cheaper defender on their team if you want a cheap goalkeeper combo.
yeah, but Migs for the same price is quite tempting, especially when Alcaraz is maybe more attacking than Cuellar
Wigan were very good in that period but I just see them amongst a biggish group of teams whose GKs/Defs are of a similar price (and expectation of CSs)

If I remember correctly Wigan also beat Liverpool and ManU before the Arsenal game and were cheated at Chelsea where two offside goals were awarded otherwise they had a cleansheet. Sadly, I bet one game last year, Wigan over Fulham.

Probably will I'll have to free up some extra funds. It's just with Rooney being my favourite player. once I have him I find it very hard to give him up haha. Kept faith in him too long last season during his barren spell after his epic start, then got rid, then he started scoring again! I really could do with some united attacking cover though, I just don't know who will be playing regularly apart from Rooney.
