Having rolled out a Selection Guide to Goalkeepers earlier this afternoon, we now switch focus to the Members Projections for our search for the men between the sticks. While Joe Hart predictably sits out on top, we focus on value in this first Members article, examining those keepers who are expected to deliver the best points per million ratio for the season and the first six Gameweeks…
Any comments would be helpful, where would you change this team:
Friedel Federici
Terry Lescott Cuellar Demel Fonte
Hazard Kagawa Taarabt NDyer Maloney
Aguero Torres Graham
2 mill in the bank for the obvious.Open ControlsI love it. We all know we can't have everything but this covers most imho.
Open ControlsI still think Hazard+Kagawa is too much uncertainty - 18.0 on players who haven't ever played in the PL. If you must have Chelsea coverage then Mata is the one for 9.5, the main worry for him when we first started RMTs was that he'd have a long olympics and that's off the cards now. Personally I'd forget the 9.5 Chelsea altogether after GW1 and go for Bale if fit.
And for Utd, can you not find 0.5 extra for Valencia? A must-have towards the end of last season when he got fit, and showing no sign of letting up.
Saying that I don't mind having ONE of those two, but two just seems needlessly risky.Open ControlsCompletely agree, im thinking of getting Bale in after the first GW depending on how he is playing obviously... If he aint playing so well then I might look at other options
Open Controls
Midfield is really dodgy. In Hazard and Kagawa you have two players who may need time to adjust to a new league, I would wait to see how Taarabt starts before putting him in as he was poor last season. It's worth starting with more realiable performers from last season- Pienarr, Bale etc for midfield. Perhaps save a bit of money on your defence and upgrade your midfield?
Open ControlsI see your points, I see Hazard as a good pick due to the fact he will be starting with going against the easier sides and he seems to be settled into the team already within preseason, so dont see him as much as a risk. Kagawa is for United coverage and think he will proceed quickly in the league with the comparisons where he came from. Pienaar is however a gd pick but everton always start slow.
Open ControlsHazard may be a good pick, as may Kagawa and I may take one, but I wouldn't start with both. I'd wait until the Charity Shiled to see Chelsea's line up and performance before deciding who to take from their mid. Man U start with tough away game to Everton. Could wait to see how they do in this before taking one of thier midfielders.
Open ControlsI think Everton will surprise this year. It's when cliches such "Everton will start slow" are thrown about that the rule book gets chucked out 🙂
Open ControlsHaha so true but then it will be hard to shave the money from somewhere, maybe Lampard could come in for Hazard then I could use the 0.5 to bring in Pienaar. for Taarabt..
Open ControlsI'd like to agree, the law of averages has to kick in sometime and they have only sold Cahill - but...
Open Controls
Ivanovic over Terry covers the possibility of a ban.
Open ControlsHazard to Lampard. Baloney to Colback.
Open Controls
Where shall i start
Open Controls... at the very beginning. It's a very good place to start!
Open ControlsSpurs?
Open ControlsYou know your midfield contains many issues

My first ever request for RMT. Would really appreciate it as i've been so used to picking players for TFF so would really appreciate some good advice.
Federici, Jass
A.Cole, Lescott, P Jones, Ridgewell
Noble, Siggurdson, Ramires, Pienaar, Guthrie
Rooney, Aguero, Graham
1mill in the bank. Considering Ramires to Yaya after GW1 already, really want Chelsea coverage for GW1. Being a Reading fan my heart is ruling my head on replacing Siggy with Hazard from the very start..
Thoughts appreciatedOpen ControlsDrop p jones lad
Open ControlsNot sure how much gametime Ramires will see in the double gw. If Yaya continues his attacking mid role in charity shield I would have him for GW1. Don't see many clean sheets from the gk combo. Good front three and defence, even if the defence is a bit expensive for me. If bale is fit I'd have him over Siggy. If you downgrade one of Cole, Lescott or Jones you could upgrade one of your midfielders, most likely Guthrie or Noble.
Open Controls
Who would u upgrade using the 1.5 mil left in the bank?
Friedel £5.5 Rudd £4.0
Harte £4.5 Cahill £6.5 Hangeland £5.0 Koscielny £5.5 Cole A £6.5
Bale £9.5 Allen £5.5 Noble £5.0 Pienaar £6.5 Yaya Toure £8.0
Aguero £11.5 Pogrebnyak £5.0 Torres £10.0Open ControlsAllen to Maloney. 2m for Torres to roon pig. Not keen on pog at all mind
Open ControlsDump Cole/Ivan for 4.0/4,5 and upgrade that mid.
Up front, I can't see past Pig & Kun at the mo.Open Controls
Parm you still on the Al-Habsi wagon? Mark talked some sense, but other than Foster (who's only decent 4.5 rotater is Bego) I don't see much better in the market for 5 million (especially as Migs has no decent 4.5 rotator)
Open ControlsMigs and juuski fam
Open ControlsThis.
Open Controlsmeans doubling on Sunderland defence. Not necessarily a bad thing. Would keep Fed though
Open Controlsthis is my problem. You still Al-Habsi and Green?
Open ControlsAlready have Sunderland cover is not an excuse! Cuelluar may or may not be your best option, dont dismiss that avenue so quick.
Open ControlsCuellar is the cheapest option, but maybe looking at Migs and getting a different rotation to Newcaslte/Sunderland could work.
Open Controls
I think i'm just hanging on, although Given & Begovic are giving me the eyes...if you know what I mean.

How do they rotate fixture wise? Cos Foster and Bego looks good
Open ControlsBegovic is always under threat from Sorensen. Not nailed on at all - I wouldn't touch him personally.
Open Controls
Cole or Ivan ? Cole is the safer option, but Ivan for goals. Cant decide
Open ControlsIvanovic, imo.
Open Controls
Mclean or Seb Larsson?
Thanks.Open ControlsThoughts?

Open ControlsSeriously, we usually do something like money back if arsenal win the league or 5% bonus on accums or something so I threw in the idea of a league to get the younger punters interested and he set it up.
Open ControlsAnd didnt even ask you to advertise the company?
Open Controls
You need to join Betpack.com to get the weekly 20 euro prize paid into your account but you don't need to register a credit card or anything.
Open ControlsEven so it isnt a bad deal
Open Controls
Money leagues are better advertised on a close friend, work place basis. Not on an internet forum.
Open ControlsEspecially not a forum where everyone is a FFS addict and will be a real danger to your winnings.
Open Controls
Just spend around two hours on that Comparison Tool. Very insightful stuff!

Kolarov is definitely playing for Team GB in drag!
Open ControlsMichu or Pienaar
and Aguero or Tevez?
Cant decide.Open ControlsBoth? Not sure ill have the cash given I will prob bring in rooney in gw2
Open ControlsWell then Aguero because he will undoubtedly score the more points and wont be rotated as much.
However Tevez will continue to score good points and is a world class talent for 9 mil. Which is why I said both.
Guess the question really is will Aguero score over tevez enough to justify the extra 2.5 mil, that im not so sure about.
In other words i have no clue. Flip a coin...Open Controls
Any thoughts would be very appreciated 🙂
Vorm
williams - assou ekotto - m.richards - s.taylor
kagawa - dempsey - y.toure
rooney - tevez - aguero
ThanksOpen ControlsRobin Salmon don't play by the rules.
Open ControlsYup 🙂 seeing as they have an easy first 4 games ( up unitl the first transfer window in the sun) thinking of swapping either tevez or aguero for torres?
Open ControlsRooney - Torres - Aguero is the front line of champions, so i would drop Tevez 🙂
Open Controls
Yup, you're missing four players for a start.
Open Controls
Hey all,
RMT pretty please.
GW1 Starting line up
Federici (De Gea)
Demel A Cole Lescott (Cuellar Fonte)
Silva Maloney Noble Hazard (McClean)
Aguero Torres Pog
CheersOpen ControlsYou could have got an rmt from one of the many, many, many, numerous similar teams posted here.
Open ControlsIt's actually quite depressing, I started this evening as follows:
Schwarzer Jaaskeleinen
Demel Cole Lescott Cuellar Fonte
Yaya Kagawa Hazard Lallana McClean
Aguero Torres Pog
and as i've read more and more articles and comments the more I've been persuaded by these cookie cutter generic teams 🙠sigh. As much as this sight is useful and great for rankings, it really does get to the point where the fun gets taken out of it at the beginning of the season... Ah well.Open ControlsIt also appears it gets to the point where I can no longer spell or write fluid sentences. (Site*)
Open Controls
I like the Silva/ aguero double-up. I don't like the lack of Man Utd attackers
Open Controls
Can anyone get 0.5 out of these lot?
Wilson Demel
Bale Kagawa Noble Maloney Pienaar
Graham
those are the players i'm willing to change ^Open ControlsBale to Sigurdsson. Simples
Open ControlsThat leaves nightmares if Siggy gets injured or needs upgrading.
Open ControlsLennon. Simples
Open ControlsDoos is speaking a fair bit of sense here tbf
Open ControlsJust no.
Open Controls
Noble or Maloney to Guthrie(DGW)?
Bale might not be fit so could go with Siggy or vdV for 0.5m cheaper.Open ControlsWilson > £4.0m Scumbag
Open ControlsBale to VDV
Open ControlsMaloney to Frei who cares if he might not play, your other 4 mids will do fine if that is the case
Open ControlsWilson to Ness if you want to keep Stoke, if not Fonte or even Gunter for the DGW,
Open ControlsNess?
Open Controlsyes, he's a monster!
Open ControlsA stoke defender for 4.0! Whats the drawback? Wheres the con?
Open Controls
Loch?
Open Controls
Any love for VDV? An attacking midfielder (presumably more so than Siggy) on penalties, with good fixtures and a good FPL history over the past couple of seasons for 9.0. I've not seen him in many RMTs and he has less than 5% ownership.
Open ControlsJust a suggestion.
Since each of us will be forced into wildcarding in the January window, it would be helpful if someone could come up with DF/GK rotation ratings upto gameweek 23 (or whatever the end of WC week is)Open ControlsDo it yourself you lazy git
Open ControlsThanx for offering. We await.
4vets (vice chair of the Lazy Feckers Association)Open Controlsyou would be the chair, but you just couldn't be arsed!
Open Controls
I've got 23 Gameweek plan blueprints up on my wall, where is yours?
Open ControlsI've analysed every permutation already, all I need to do is plug in the promotion and relegations, fixture list and oh the transfers move and my team is sorted.
Open ControlsRelegated: Man United, Citeh & Chelsea
Promoted: Barnsley, Peterborough & Huddersfield.
Piss Easy!Open Controls

Open ControlsNo. Otherwise he would be in my sights ...

cheers doos, just wondering is he the same fella who is in a mini lge of mine or if the fella in the mini lge is a lurker & stole a good name from on here... or it's just coincidence 🙂
Open ControlsWhats his actual name?
Open Controlsthe guy in my league is named neil & not sure of sporting on here
Open ControlsThat would be telling ... 😉

Taarabt/nzogbia/mcclean/pienaar - no other coverage for these teams. Which one would you have?

Good Evening Gentlemen.

Open ControlsHiya - got a weather forecast for Cardiff tomorrow?
Open Controlsthanks 🙄
Open Controls
Weather for My place.... 10 miles or so from Cariff

Open Controls
Evening Evs, you talking weather or you have your team finalised and are so happy with it, you're not opening FPL again until the evening of the 18th to survey your massive score?
Open ControlsJust things in general.
Pretty happy with my team, looking for to team GB playing in Cardiff. Sell out I believe. I imagine crowd will be well behind them (apart from when the anthem is being played)Open Controls
Is anyone thinking about getting Dembele? if Dempsey leaves may be a bargain at £6m
Open ControlsFirst time commenting on here, any advice on this team would be much appreciated:
Friedel/Federici
Rafael/Clichy/A.Cole/Cuellar/Gorkss
Kagawa/Lampard/Bale/Noble/Britton
Torres/Tevez/Petric
I have 2 million set aside for the obvious Torres-Rooney switch. My main dilemma is whether it's worth finding 2.5 million to get Aguero in for Tevez, possibly by putting Pienaar in for one of the pricey midfielders, but as an Everton fan I always anticipate a slow start.Open ControlsI like it. I'm risking Tevez too.
Nice balance, I can't see too much wrong, apart from Rafael (competition at RB).Open Controlsi had money set aside for the same move & as like you wanted to get aguero in there, i got rid or hazard & graham for taarabt (any 6m) & aguero. now thinking of going w/o rooney
Open Controls
Thoughts on Clark (Villa)? Likely to play? Likely to be OOP?
Open ControlsI remember having Phil Jones as an OOP for a good long time two seasons back. The problem with OOP defs that play DM is that will frustrate you in the hope of attacking returns while ruining potential def rotations while you stubbornly hold on for dear life just cos he's an OOP
Open ControlsThis.
No good being OOP if its a DM generally they get returns basically the same as defenders anyway.Open Controls
i'm gambling with him, 4.5mil is a great pice imo, will surely start most games. oop some of the time only i reckon
Open Controls
Those doubting Wigan and their defence, i would listen to the start of SAF's interview in this link:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17606942
Their results after this match were:
Arsenal 1-2 Wigan
Fulham 2-1 Wigan
Wigan 4-0 Newcastle
Blackburn 0-1 Wigan
Wigan 3-2 Wolves
They can shut up shop when they need to with the new formation. You can look at stats from last season but in my eyes you should only look at them from when they changed their system, which is very good. This is why i believe Al-habsi should have included in this article. The final Wolves game was unique as it was the last one of the season.Open Controls"Hope springs eternal in the human breast: Man never is, but always To be Blest."
Alexander PopeOpen Controls😆 I don't support Wigan at all but i'm just searching for FPL talent! As SAF said, Wigan are underrated.
Open Controls... as are we all ... 😉
Open ControlsI discussed Al-Habsi earlier. Mark seems to think there is no real value and the peno saves distorted his actual total. But short of doubling on Sunderland/Fulham or finding a new defensive rotation I don't see much better for 5 million
Open ControlsI understand his thinking that there are better outfield players like and Boyce and Alcaraz but we only have 5 slots for defenders, we can't fit all of them in, especially ones that rotate. At some point we will have to commit to a keeper that has a cheaper defender on their team if you want a cheap goalkeeper combo.
Open Controlsyeah, but Migs for the same price is quite tempting, especially when Alcaraz is maybe more attacking than Cuellar
Open Controls
Wigan were very good in that period but I just see them amongst a biggish group of teams whose GKs/Defs are of a similar price (and expectation of CSs)
Villa, WBA, Stoke, Fulham, Sunderland, Swansea etc..Open ControlsErrr ... be careful out there ... 😉
Open Controls
Blackburn were about as offensively effective as hitting a tank with a tennis ball in that game.
And 2 cleanies in 5 on a good run of form? Not for me.Open ControlsIf I remember correctly Wigan also beat Liverpool and ManU before the Arsenal game and were cheated at Chelsea where two offside goals were awarded otherwise they had a cleansheet. Sadly, I bet one game last year, Wigan over Fulham.
Open Controls
Right, after 2 and a half hours swapping and changing my team and reading scout reports and looking at player comparisons, I've settled on this for GW1:
de Gea (Federici)
Ivanovic Lescott Hangeland (Rafael, Kaboul)
N'Zogbia Taraabt Mata Yaya Toure (Noble)
Torres (c) Bent (v) Graham
£1m left over.
I'm still not happy though.
Thinking of maybe changing Mata>Marin, Toure>someone, then upgrading Bent>Aguero if he is injured.
Oh, and I'm glad to be back on the forum after a two month hiatus 😀Open ControlsI agree, way too much money at the back.
Open Controls
MUST HAVE AGUERO!
Open ControlsNot jumping on the GW2 upgrade to Rooney bandwagon?
Open ControlsProbably will I'll have to free up some extra funds. It's just with Rooney being my favourite player. once I have him I find it very hard to give him up haha. Kept faith in him too long last season during his barren spell after his epic start, then got rid, then he started scoring again! I really could do with some united attacking cover though, I just don't know who will be playing regularly apart from Rooney.
Open Controls
