Are you a fan of the Premier League? Do you like playing fantasy football games but feel like the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season is already over for you? Well, on Sorare, there is still something to play for each week, including in the free-to-play Amateur divisions.

Let’s have a look at some of the winners and losers from a Sorare Premier League weekend that saw 24 goals scored across seven games and check out the team that topped the Amateur division.

Moving on up

Let’s start with the players who really stepped up their game. There were two big performers between the sticks last weekend at West Ham United and Crystal Palace. Lukasz Fabianski finished on 83.2 points and Sam Johnstone came just behind with 83. Both goalkeepers benefited from a clean sheet which pushed them up to 60 points before making up the rest by being kept busy with five saves each.

Newcastle United’s Fabian Schar was the pick of the bunch in defence, with a perfect score of 100. This was the result of two assists and because he saw plenty of the ball against a chaotic Spurs side. Just behind him was Liam Cooper on 95.7 points – a great score considering Leeds United were unable to come away with any points. It reflects his hard work in defence, including making a last-man tackle.

There was one stand-out performer in midfielder – Arsenal star Bukayo Saka. He hit a perfect 100 thanks to a goal, an assist and tons of other attacking actions. An honourable mention goes to Declan Rice for his score of 86.6 points, following a midweek score of 88.7. When you’re hot, you’re hot!

Gabriel Martinelli hit the highest score of all forwards with 90 points, just a whisker ahead of Newcastle’s Joelinton on 89.8. Both netted just once but their all-around contributions put them ahead of the rest.

Crashing down

And what about the players who destroyed line-ups this weekend?

Unsurprisingly, Hugo Lloris was a complete flop on Sorare this weekend, scoring just 4.1 points for his 45-minute disasterclass on Sunday. And, while the Arsenal v Southampton game was a thriller to watch, it wasn’t great for either stopper, with Aaron Ramsdale ending on only 7 points and Gavin Bazunu just 6.1.

Spurs’ central defence didn’t do much better than Lloris, with Eric Dier and Cristian Romero ending on 12.4 and 13.9 points. Given that they conceded six times, this may have even been a little generous.

The shocking midfield performance surprisingly didn’t come from a Spurs player but was actually Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans, who had his pocket picked by Wolverhampton Wanderers for the opening goal and was hooked off after 67 minutes.

Up front, the lowest-scoring forwards were those who only made fleeting sub appearances like Jean-Philippe Mateta, Carlos Vinícius and Darwin Nunez. It was also a disappointing weekend for the usually reliable Ollie Watkins, nabbing just 30 points.

The winning team

This weekend’s winner (DiDiMaD972) had three of the five best-performing players in his team and captained top-scoring Fabian Schar – talk about foresight!

And, for winning the Premier League Amateur tournament, DiDiMaD972 was awarded a Gabriel Jesus Limited card, which is worth around £45 on the Sorare market right now.

So, there you have it, the winners and losers of the Sorare Premier League games. If you’re feeling confident, why not give it a go yourself?

The next gameweek begins on Friday at 3pm BST and, if you sign up using the link below, you’ll even get a free digital player card after purchasing five cards at auction. Good luck!

Counting on Schar to play might turn out to be a mistake. Howe just said it will be a late call and that they have to check him again.

I didn't do Zinchenko ➡ Moreno, so I'm the only fool here. Henry off the bench isn't ideal, but hopefully he can surprise me with an assist or something.

Wouldn't at all be surprised to see 0-0 between Chelsea and Brentford. Mind I rarely ever trust anything Howe said so I also wouldn't be surprised if Schar is fine

That's what I thought. I mean they may as well have just played it in 26 and got all the points we got. I've not seen one team I actually 'fear' because most of the players they have, we have all got .

      A. I know the defence ain't great, but I think he earns a spot as an attacker (more so than Trippier currently) & there seems to be decent potential for a CS v Fulham (especially considering they only had one shot last night)

    1) TAA Mitoma -4

    5) Stones Jota -4

  8. Karan_G14

    Ederson
    Trippier Chilwell Estu Shaw
Ode Rashford Grealish Mitoma March Haaland

    (Kepa Watkins Botman Kane)

    A) Chilwell, Odegaard & Kane ➡️
    TAA, Salah & Gwood -8

    B) Chillwell, Odegaard, Kane & Watkins ➡️ TAA, Salah, Jota & Gwood -12
    (Will have to bench Trippier)

    C) Chilwell, Odegaard & Kane ➡️ 4.0m def, Salah & Jota -8
(too many benching headaches in subsequent weeks)

-12 sounds to much, down to TAA vs Jota, tough to answer that, TAA more nailed, Jota lower EO and more explosive...

I guess DDG although I'm not really enamoured with Man Utd defence without Varane & Martinez. But at least he makes a lot more saves than Ederson.

Got Estupinan, March and Mitoma mate!! DDG will make plenty of saves whereas Ederson won’t was my initial thought, Ederson better for clean sheet position with Uniteds defensive issues and injures, close one mate!!

I have gone double United defence for gw34 WC. Basically because of value. At worst they get 4 each - at best likely 8 each. Think will concede in one. But we saw on FA cup semi - United well capable of playing a bore draw. So there is always the dream of 12’s.

Which pair would you prefer on FH, if Bruno is decleared fit?

    1) KDB/MacAllister
    2) Grealish/Bruno

    A) Akanji/Estu
    B) Stones/Coufal

since saliba got injured 5 gameweeks ago they've conceded twice as many goals and gone from a win ratio of 77 percent to 40. squad depth proving to be vital to city and not just this season (whether that's been achieved by fair or foul means is the big question)

I think whatever the means people have to appreciate that the reason the quality of the premier league is so high atm is because of City.

To be fair any team losing a CB like Saliba would suffer without him, he's been superb from both a defensive and offensive point of view for Arsenal

Struggling to choose a chip strategy. Is my GW35 team good enough to revert back to after a GW34 FH? What do you think of my options? Thanks

    A) FH34, WC36
    B) FH34, WC35
    C) WC34, FH36-38

*GW35 team below would be this:

    Iversen (ful)
Trip (ARS) | Robbo (BRE) | Gabriel (new)/Botman
Salah (BRE) | March, Mac Allister, Mitoma (EVE)
Kane (CPL)** | Jota (BRE) | Watkins (wol)

**Instead of Kane, I could get KDB for free or Haaland for a hit (& Gabriel > 5.0m), but I think these players are mins risks against Leeds with West Ham 3 days before and Real Madrid 3 days after, which would be part of my consideration nearer the time.

It's pretty marginal now by the looks.

You could just wildcard now, use FT's to adjust and FH into the final week? As in C.

The other point is that there could well be a fair few injuries and strains in the next 3 games and if they occur to the main pics then a wildcard gw35 could be handy to get out of it.

Morning everyone. Thought on best man city defender for the run in? Dias looks most nailed defender? Stones a bit more advanced, but been subbed off pre-60 mins a couple of times? Or is it Ederson - probably lowest ceiling, but also highest floor, as most assured of minutes? I’d be really interested in thoughts and reasoning.

Probably Stones then Dias but Ake could be back soonish too.

Stones for stepping forward into midfield etc. with the ball in possession.

It is how they pay the bills though. Whether old gits like myself like it or not. We now live in a world where many watch ‘content creators’ play fpl- discuss their own team and ask the masses for advice. Yet many style themselves as ‘experts. So the demand seems to be there. In an odd way
About 10k-30k views per video. If such demand can be monitized in an industry with very little overheads - regulation - qualifications- it leads to such things as sorare. Similar to the gold rush in the Wild West. This is the fantasy football rush. Get rich quick etc. But at least no one forces people to part with money. But the younger more impressionable seem to be the target markets. Feel sorry for that cohort- the fantasy marketing business see them coming.

I see you have your Newcastle trio in reserve - ready for gw36.
Personally I don’t trust the Brighton defence. So assume you are hoping for Estupian attacking points. It seems well thought out.
I do think the time is coming near to jump off Brighton players. I am only starting one on WC Mitoma. Plan to make him Jolinton gw36.
