In Gameweek 38, Tottenham Hotspur visit relegation-threatened Leeds United, while Crystal Palace host Nottingham Forest, who have conceded a whopping 43 goals away from The City Ground this season.

As a result, there is lots of interest in their assets, but which of their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players have the best chance of hauling?

Here, we identify the weaknesses Spurs and Crystal Palace could try to exploit.

LEEDS: RIGHT FLANK

In the relegation battle, Leeds are relying on Everton and Leicester City to slip up on Sunday, but also HAVE to win against Tottenham Hotspur.

That could benefit Spurs assets, who are excellent playing on the break – they are ranked joint-third for shots from counter-attacks this season.

Crucially, the Lilywhites are still in the hunt for European qualification, albeit the UEFA Europa Conference League. To qualify, they’ll need to win at Elland Road and hope Aston Villa drop points at home to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Sam Allardyce has been unable to fix Leeds’ defensive issues since his appointment, conceding seven goals against Manchester City (two), Newcastle United (two) and West Ham United (three).

In that time, they sit bottom for minutes per expected goal conceded (xGC). It’s not a huge surprise given the fixtures, plus the squad he inherited, but still, it suggests Spurs can cause problems on Sunday.

The shots Leeds have conceded from open-play so far under Allardyce have mainly been from their right, which is captured below.

Above: Open-play goal attempts conceded by Leeds United under Sam Allardyce (Gameweek 35 onwards)

Against West Ham United on Sunday, right-back Luke Ayling (£4.5m) tried to provide an attacking outlet on the overlap, but left his flank exposed when they were countered on.

That could create opportunities for Son Heung-min (£11.5m), who has two goals and one assist in five appearances under Ryan Mason. He was a real livewire in the first half against Brentford on Saturday, but like most of his team-mates, was much quieter after the break.

Still, no Spurs player has registered more shots in the box (nine) or big chances (six) than Son since Mason’s appointment in Gameweek 33, including Harry Kane (£11.5m), who has seven and four respectively.

If Ayling and Leeds have similar defensive issues to the ones witnessed at West Ham on Sunday, Son can take advantage.

Above: Son Heung-min ranks joint-third among all FPL players for big chances from Gameweek 33 onwards (Mason’s first match in charge)

NOTT’M FOREST: LEFT FLANK

Would you do the following moves for -4?
    Mitoma-Isak > Eze-Watkins

or one of them for free?

Mitoma to Eze is a sound move. Isak to Watkins for the hit is probably not worth it.

Maybe a punt for the -4 could make it interesting though...Isak to Ings maybe? 😉

What's all the fuss about Watkins? Playing against Brighton? In no form at all? 1 assist in the last 6.

Seemingly best of a very bad bunch left to choose from.

After Haaland, Kane and Toney they are all much of a muchness as far as I'm concerned.

Villa score a lot of goals, playing for Europe, Watkins is central to their attacks, Brighton have conceded 4 and 5 recently. Not like there's no positives.

Good for Brighton, likely low for Man City but they could all have a spring in their step in the May sunshine!

Pep could start them and bring them off but I think the cup final players will be rested to recharge for the final few games.

With 2 free transfers I can go straight to Son and Kane from KDB and Haaland and not worry about any leaks.

Should I do that and be done for the season?

Or do Man City offer more upside at Brentford, despite the risk of ongoing benching and reduced minutes etc.

One issue I've got, that I'm sure a few do too, is that other than Man United and Iversen if I play him, all my squad play away on Sunday.

Pep on having City's charges heard.
"Let's go. Don't wait two years. Why don't we do it quicker? In 24 hours, sit down with lawyers present. Let's have it as soon as possible for the benefit of everyone."

Maybe because there is a backlog of cases stretching back 2 years to be heard, including Benjamin Mendy, you privileged cretin. When you're used to bending and breaking the rules, I guess you expect that to apply everywhere - football, the courts, the media.

I agree with Pep. The sooner Man City can pay and/or Lawyer their way out of this, the sooner they can get back to bending the rules and not worrying about feeble threats of sanction. Why should we wait 2 years just for the inevitable lack of any real punishment to arise?

Been lurking these boards for 10+ years... Thanks for all the help! Finally made some serious progress this year (good start and mid season luck played a big part!) but I'm currently sat arround 395 overall! Looking to the last week I'm torn between a last ditch -12 to bring in some wildcards to get me to No.1 😀 or play safe and secure my highest ever finish?!

Last day is usually disappointing for points but maybe
the likes of Tarko, McNeil and Iwobi can do it for me?!?? Thoughts from the Hive Mind?

Congrats on the rank - its amazing.

You have obviously made some great decisions to get there - yes luck plays a part but luck alone does not get you that high, no matter what some of the saltier ones here say. That said, a -12 to bring in Everton players sounds like a horrific choice....

If you are ranked OR 395 you are still over 100 points away from OR1 so you have zilch chance of winning no matter what you do. Just play normally and see what happens, rather than do something stupid you will very likely regret.

Defending a 2 point lead, would you

    A) Get one of Firmono/Watkins/Alvarez to play next to Haaland instead of Solanke
    B) Get Kulu, EzE or other mid and play Solanke as a differential

    DDG
    Shaw, Estu, TAA
    Salah, Mitoma, MacAllister, Rashford, Mahrez
    Haaland, Solanke

And I reckon Gundog starts this w/e.

I would play both, I think ETH may rotate a little if we secure the CL spot tonight, but I think Rashford will benefit from the minutes and Bruno never rests so don't see either at risk of rotation. However, not sure I'd transfer them in - see what happens Thursday and what ETH says after

This is a genuine question..Why does Roy Keane act so entitled on football TV? The way he disparages other football players is surprising..I mean he was a good player for sure but certainly not one of the best ever..some humility might go a long way for him.. Is it just a TV persona that he has taken on or is just him being him?

It's him being him - good to have people who will say the things others will only think

Definitely eggs on his attitude on Sky, and it works as they keep coming back for more. I think a lot of it is down to his own career of course and the authority figures he had around him like Clough and Ferguson. But I'd say another part of that is the difference between British and Irish media and punditry, watch any punditry on RTE over the years when the likes of John Giles, Eamon Dunphy and Liam Brady were on and they had no issue in tearing into players or coaches, whether it was to do with PL or CL games or the Irish national team. British coverage is very tame in comparison but that's just the way I've always remembered it on Irish TV

Interesting take..think the role of media has evolved where it makes sense for him to egg on his attitude as well.

That's true..Kids in my country grow up watching cricket..it was at the tail end of his Utd career that I really started watching football.

Not a criticism, but he was like this on and off the pitch as a player. Very critical of everything. Just Google "prawn sandwich brigade"

If I wrote what I really thought of Roy Keane then the post would be red flagged for sure. On a scale of 0 to 10 as a pundit he scores 0.0137 - and that's ony because I'm generous. I would just love to see Haaland score 4 or 5 in the FA Cup Final and say "That's for you, dad".

I'd say that's just the way he is and is probably what made him so successful in his career. He had high standards and made sure everyone around him stuck to those standards. Doesn't mean you have to like him.

I think Rashford may block a lot of it. Plenty may have a sub ahead of Trippier too.

Maybe I'm just dreaming of that EO remaining low enough to mean something for once....

I doubt it. ETH didn't rest Bruno when we went into the 2nd Leg of the EFL cup semi 3-0 up. I do expect some rotation to protect ahead of the cup final, but not players like Bruno who never stop

Despite Kane's phenomenally consistent season I cannot understand the rush to get him this week. Leeds will be be playing for their survival and Spurs are on the Skegness beach. (That's all they deserve after their season). Nevertheless I suppose Leeds must go for the win and they will inevitably leave themselves open at the back. Kane will somehow get a last minute penalty of 9 points - or something like that.

agree entirely with this - Leeds at home, playing for prem life and if Spurs collapsed that badly in second half v Brentford - do you really want to bring in one of their players - especially as for Haaland in most cases!!

I mean I think you have explained the reasoning nicely.

That and, subject to tonight, the move off Haaland is a fairly straightforward one
