The next Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline is fast approaching, so there are transfer decisions to be made for legions of us ahead of Gameweek 4.

With that in mind, we’ve got five-time top 1k finisher and Scout’s Deputy Editor, Tom Freeman, to answer some of your conundrums over the next 60 minutes.

He’ll be on hand to first reply to requests from Premium Members in the Hot Topic below the line of this piece and will get through as many as he can until the next article goes up. If there’s time, Tom will also turn his attention to other requests in the comments section.

If you’d like to receive an email notification letting you know when future RMT Surgery’s are live, you can now do so. When editing your profile, under ‘Alerts & Notifications‘, you’ll find a section on ‘Email Notifications‘. In there is an option for ‘Rate My Team Surgery‘, check that box and you will receive an email letting you know when the surgery is about to go live.

You can, as ever, chip in with your own opinions on the RMT requests filtering through – and naturally, you’re free to ignore the article subject matter and talk about any other wider FPL topics that you’d normally be musing on.

Don’t forget that, if it’s an algorithmic answer you’re after rather than an opinion-based one, we also have a ‘Rate My Team’ tool available in the Premium Members Area.

Sell 2 out of these. (For Mbuemo, Sterling, Maddison or Udogie)

    A) Tarkowski (SHU A)
    B) Mitoma (WHU H)
    C) Martinelli (MUN H)
    D) Sell all 3 for-4

If I sell B and C, I'm playing Tarkowski over Saliba. Have 2fts btw.

    Hi Tom,

I have 1 FT left. Flip flopping between rolling the transfer or moving out Pedro now. 2.4 ITB.

I have Foden and Haaland and Sterling and Chilwell.

Would you roll or sell Pedro and if I sell who to bring in for him. My third striker is Archer. Was thinking Alvarez/Jackson or Wissa (I have Mbuemo already).

    Cheers

Tom, what to do here please?
Defence is shot and too many other MID and FWD players I would like (MBeumo, Watkins, Sterling, Foden etc)
FT already used on Jota > Maddision

    Pickford/(Turner)
    Akanji, Chilwell, Estu, (Bell, Beyer)
    Saka, Martinelli, Rashford, Maddison, Eze

Tough draw for Brighton in the Europa League - Ajax and Marseilles. Like Newcastle, they'll have to put out the strongest line up. Liverpool and Hammers have easier groups.

Why will they? Europa isn't anything like CL. They might not give a fig about it. Champions League is something teams aspire to.

Why wouldn't they? Don't see why they wouldn't fancy themselves to win the Europa. Look at WHU as an example

They could play a strong XI but with Brighton's squad, I suspect their priority right now is not winning the Europa. Latter rounds, if they got there, they might play close to a first XI.

I haven't looked at the dates but you think between, say, Villa and Liverpool fixtures, Brighton are playing a very similar XI? I'd expect around 4/5 changes, maybe more.

I went with Saka, who'll probably become Bruno in GW6

Bowen and Foden would have been in if it was a free hit, but I don't want to be forced into a post-international-break GW5 move (Bowen) or find myself staring at Foden on the bench once or twice more before I sell him in GW8

Beginning to think Foden is a safer pick than Alvarez this week.

Most predicted line ups on City Forum have Alvarez benched.

I do think both could start, with Silva rested having become a dad this week?

One predicted line up from Dis_FPL (supposedly predicted Foden's illness) has Gvardiol rested.

    Ederson
    Ake Akanji Dias Walker
    Rodri Kovacic
    Doku Alvarez Foden
    Haaland

Been on Alvarez on WC all week, considering rearranging to Foden. Do you think he is a safer pick for this GW?

Talking of which, with so much competition up top, it's odd they've not bothered with full backs. They really only got Estupinan. Lamptey is perma-crocked and they have to fill in with non-fullbacks like Veltman, Gross and Milner.

    Onana
    Chilwell - Colwill - Udogio - Estupian
    Saka - Odegard - Rashford - Mitoma - March

    - Should I get Maddison for March, and Browne for Mitoma?? or Foden?
