It is so sad about James, but there you go. He may return for a couple of GWs. Don't see the point of any other 4.0

    Early thoughts on this lot?

    Turner
    Chilwell, Saliba, Henry
    Rashford, Saka, B.Fernandes, Maddison, Foden
    Haaland, N.Jackson

    Pickford; Estupinan, Baldock, Osula.

    1 FT 0.6 ITB

Pretty happy with it still. Udogie and Son on the wishlist.

I'm bringing Udogie in for Saliba this week. I like Saliba and Everton is probably not the best game to sell him before, but I think Udogie has a higher ceiling for points.

Yeah, but I'm being silly really. Only if you're happy elsewhere. You might regret it if a transfer is needed later. Saying that, you've got options off the bench.

It would get me the squad I want tbh. Would bench Henry (new) for Udogie and get to keep both Estupinan and Saliba. Might be worth it and if I really get screwed by injuries during the break could always Wildcard. Will think on it a bit.

Keep Wissa. Brentford have one of the best attack in the league, and Wissa is nailed for 90mins every gameweek.
Ferguson is too risky option, RDZ likes rotation like Pep, especially when EL will started.
Archer is an excellent option, but only for third forward. Sheffield's attacking impact is too low.

Forest parked the bus after getting the goal .Hence why chilly came off as they ran out of ideas and tried a different system which failed miserably.
Unlucky to concede the goal but s big 3pts for Forest who are playing really well from the start this season obviously some new blood to bed in but we want be push overs this time round .
I'm sticking with sterling as the potential is good as long as Jackson keeps out of his way.

        1. Pedersen
          • 7 Years

My thoughts when watching the game is that Sterling need a bit of space to really shine, and Jackson is the kind of striker that don't draw in any defenser. Jackson looks for holes instead leaving more opponents able to block sterling and rest of attacking midfielders. In fact it looked like forest more or less could just ignore Jackson and just focus on sterling which was the playmaker for most offensive actions from Chelsea

Well just do it then. You know the risk.

Or, you could weigh up if this is chasing last week's points, or if Álvarez and Son look like sustained picks with good xGI.

FWIW, I think the former is pretty settled in that 10 role for the time being. We need more info to see if Son stays in CF.

    How nailed is Alvarez?

I won't go near any City other than Edersen or Haaland. Even Foden won't be in my team this season.

But just look at his returns so far. It's so tempting to transfer Alvarez in.

Even if he starts 75% of the matches do you think he would accumulate more points than say Watkins or Wissa etc?

Being an owner of him since GW 2 he’s a pleasure to have, but I do become slightly concerned now with thinking rotation might just be around the corner. But with KDB out and playing like has been doing, I think he should be safe enough, fingers crossed.

I think he's quite nailed - he's now started all 4 games and was only just subbed off right at the end today; completed all the others.

Doku is a wide player, and Nunes is more of a box-box mid, so I don't think there's direct competition from them in his no.10 role. He might share with Foden, or Pep might suddenly decide on a new formation, KDB isn't back until 2024.

Currently he's as nailed as any Man City player could be and can be expected to have goal involvement regularly, only Ederson and Walker have played a minute more in their league matches. If you have Wissa/Ferguson/Archer as third forward then it's worth the 'risk' owning him.

    8. jacob1989
      • 3 Years

I got him in last week. With kdb out. I think he is more nailed than foden. Pep likes him. And he is playing good so I got rewarded today with his haul. No risk. No gain.

Looks good, but I would ship Leno instead of Areola. Fulham has nice schedule, and Leno is the best shootstopper in the league.

Triple Chelsea did me no favours.

Have owned Jackson from week 2 but he's on the chopping block for me.

    Thinking about

    Isak
    Awoniyi
    Wissa

Let's see what the IB brings

    B) Pickford (ARS)

Tripled Haal after seeing his Hattrick odds with the bookies at a ridiculously low level (13/2 when he is usually 8/1). 60 pts alone for him and a ferocious Saturday overall; 87 pts with Rash, Saka and Odegaard tomorrow

I don't get people selling Chilwell. I think palmer will help his potential once he gets going (and they realize Jackson is better off on bench)

I'm still keeping chilwell not bothered about a price drop never have been just plat the fixtures once he starts getting points again it'll go back up. Also with Kane gone and Salah currently poorish form to other mids the budget is easy this season.

Chilly at -40% now. I an definitely keeping, he will score goals. And one price drop doesn't even matter from tv point of view for us who started with him. Besides that, there is no-one to get for him (I have Udogie and Trippier is worse asset than him atm).

I own, I'm keeping but he's an easy sell.

Gets forward yes but his mins are suspect, his team is suspect, the haul you miss will be compensated by the many 1s & 2s you pick up inbetween.

Doesn't matter too much, he gets more chances during 60 mins than possible replacements during 90.

Maddison and Alvarez going up tonight. Considering a wildcard - these could well rise again between now and the next deadline right? If both would be on a WC it’s now or never surely?

    1. Pedersen
      • 7 Years

I think Alvarez at least will rise twice before next GW.
I think Son will block for more than 1 Maddison rise

If you’re WC anyway might as well catch the rises. May be useful if Salah hits form later on

Wouldn't be surprised if they hold him back & just give him 20, a lot of pressure on the lad, the last thing they need is to see his confidence dented after being dominated by Saliba for 90 mins.

Richa was off. It is annoying to know that Spurs play better with CF Son, but the manager has been using out of form Richa there. Hattie should be enough, but you never really know for sure.

Easily lose Akanji. City had a walk in the park today but they still conceded. Triple City attack is lethal.

A week is a long time in fantasy football, wasn't that long ago that thewy wwere the only defence worth owning.

I have triple attack myself but it's not a long term thing, as soon as Liverpool or Arsenal (maybe Spurs) find their rythm, Foden is gone, the rotation doubts will never go away, at 6.5, Alvarez is easy to swallow.

I've not had a single City defender this season.

Also never said triple City was long term, but for right now it's absolutely fine. With two international breaks coming up there's plenty of time for considering future form that may or may not happen later down the line.
