After yet another disastorous week, dropped to 4.6m OR,
I hit the Wildcard last night.

Grabbed some price risers for now.

      Done:
      Pickford>Leno
      Akanji>Walker
Bell>Botman (Bell coming back by end of week for the DGW)
      Chilwell>Trippier
      Eze>Mitoma
      MBeumo>Son
      Rashford>JWP
      Jackson>Morris

Hoping I can manouvre Son > Salah by end of the week somehow.
          Might have to do Trippier>Bell

It looks solid, but just be wary of transferring in essentially an entire team of players that all returned last week for essentially an entire team that didn't. Things rarely ever work out in the same way going forward

I have Mitoma and will be jumping off soon (maybe... potentially...) due to fixtures and minutes. Don't chase his points. Bowen/JWP/Maddison would be better.

The rest look good. Rash out before Palace, Brentford and Sheffield is risky.

Thought I was in for a good week with four goals from my five mids. Toon ruined me! Ended up with a 5.9m GW rank 🙁

My GW Rank last week was 9.45m out of the 9.95m players! This week 6.9m GW Rank.

      Absolute disaster.

    Play 2 Bench 2

    D) Eze (mnu)

      A
      B

IMO. But that's a rough benching headache. I like Colwill's defensive underliers and fixture. Eze on pens.

Cash and Estu bad fixture and hard to call.

      Who knows!

Morning all, 1 FT and 0.6 ITB.

    A - Mbeumo > JWP
    B - Rash > Bowen
    C - Roll

    Onana
    Estu - Botman - Trippier - Ruben
    Son - Saka - Mitoma - Rashford
    Haaland - Alvarez

    Turner - Mbuemo - Archer - Baldock

    1. Botman and Robben

Rash out before Palace, Brentford, Sheffield.

I'd roll or JWP for Mitoma. I certainly wouldn't be benching a penalty taking Mbuemo against Forest whilst playing Estu away at Villa.

I've had three different answers so far...

Want Bowen and ideally another Newcastle defender, but don't really want to drop anyone.

    1. Mbeumo > Bowen
    2. Eze > Bowen, bench Mbeumo
    3. Rashford > Bowen
    4. Rashford and Estupian > Bowen and Tripper (-4)
    5. Estupian > Burn
    6. Eze and Estupian > Bowen and Schar, bench Mbeumo

    1. speardrops
      • 13 Years

Too many options for us, really.

Don't sell Rashford is my tip. Mbuemo plays Forest and is on pens.

I do like a move for JWP or Bowen though.

If 6 is for free then that.

      1. Ha.

Too many options for myself! This is as much as I can narrow it down.

Not keen on losing anyone, but otherwise can't get Bowen.

        6 isn't for free, I have 1 FT.

Maybe it's a case of we want too much but can't have all.
If reluctant to get rid of any of your midfield then maybe it's a sign that you don't need to?

Had to go early with transfers which means I'm set up like this for this week. Plan is to wildcard 9 / 10 but if injuries happen this week then I have it to activate if needed.

Think team below is fine and doesn't need wildcard unless injuries force my hand?

    Onana
    Trippier / Colwill / Gvardiol
    Mbuemo / Saka / Son / Fernandes
    Haaland / Watkins / Morris

    Turner / Estupinan / Neto / Baldock

Trippier, Botman, Espu (Kabore, Charlie Taylor)
    Son, Madd, Salah, Saka (Sarr)
    Haaland, Alvarez (Semenyo)

I think I’m going to wildcard this week.

Had a disastrous couple of weeks, slept on it last night (missed some more price rises but hey ho) and looking at my drafts, I think it’s the way to go.

My two biggest decisions it seems at the moment:
    1) Trippier or 2 cheaper Newcastle defenders? Would mean a place holding

    1. PascalCygan
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member
      • 8 Years
      2 years, 2 months ago

      Oops, sent too early
Trippier would mean losing Estupinan, which I don’t mind for a few weeks

      2) Morris for the DGW and a place holding cheap mid for two weeks, or just go without him and start Maddison v Liverpool

      Draft:
      0.3ITB
      Areola Turner
      Trippier Burn Cash Udogie Kabore
Salah Son Maddison Gordon Doucoure (would become Diaby in two weeks)
      Haaland Alvarez Morris

      Thoughts?

      Thanks!

See how both sides line up midweek in the cup and go from there. But if both get a rest, I'd say Estupiñan personally given Villa's high line and Brighton's potential for breaking through it. Although Villa played quite well in their game against each other on the final day of last season, it is a tough one

Brighton games average something like 3.5 goals a game. Don’t expect clean sheets. Who has a better chance of attacking returns? Estu in my opinion.

They look sensible enough. I would just be wary of Newcastle a little bit, an 8-0 is always going to be an outlier and while they've clearly improved with 3 clean sheets on the bounce, they were completely outplayed against Milan and only kept a clean sheet there down to wasteful finishing and Pope having a good game. Brentford created some very good chances against them too that Wissa wasted (I think two where he completely missed the ball). I'm also wary that both the PL clean sheets came with Tonali not starting

    Estupinan - Pinnock - Botman

What would folks recommend here?...I think I need to get rid of Gusto asap and I would like Trippier but I don't have the funds.

    A) Sterling to Diaby or someone else under 7.1
    B) Swap Chillwell to Schar/Burn (Already have Botman)
    C) Gusto and Sterling to Burn and Diaby -4 (I don't actually need a -4 atm though, Kabore & Cash my other def's)

No one else I fancy swapping tbh. If I was to take a -4 I could swap Chillwell to Trippier and Sterling to 6.0 mid. It would likely just be more beneficial swapping Chillwell to either Walker or Burn. Can either leave Chillwell or Sterling in for another week.

As great as it was, it is still a shame he scored half of that in one game, and many bought him straightaway. I would definitely prefer that 20-pointer split into 3 weeks and for him to stay a differential a little longer.

Son essential the week after this. Bowen a prime pick this week.

Long term Son with an understanding that Bowen likely outscores him this week.

not making excuses for sheffield united, they were dreadfull in every department but considering what had happened to maddy cusack im surprised a postponement wasn't considered . it had to have had an affect on some of them. (maybe they were given the option i dont know). she knew a lot of the men's team, she wasnt just a player there either and worked in other capacities behind the scenes for the club. it was notable that there were games in the WSL league called off as a mark of respect because she had played with some players on a number of teams.

Planning on using the WC soon, finding it hard to fit Haaland, Son & Salah.

Terrible start to the season. 4.4 million.

Might be seen as very reactionary (with three Newcastle I have to agree) but good fixtures coming up for various players.

    Areloa (Turner)

    Trippier Botman Kabore (Cash, Evans)
    Salah Son Maddison Saka Gordan
    Haaland Morris (Archer)

Players I would like if I had the cash would be JWP, Alveraz

Yes, doable with someone like Morris. Looks good.

On wildcard and looking for help on final two slots please:

    Areola, Turner
    Cash ? Botman Udogie Beyer
    Salah Saka Son Bowen ?
    Archer Haaland Alvarez

    A. Estupinan, Gordon

    B. Kabore, Diaby

    C. Other combo worth 10.6m

With option B, Beyer and Kabore would be punts for DGW7 and then benched permanently along with Archer.
