I am not sure the WC team will outscore the original team (plus using FTs and few hits) massively for the next 4-5 GWs

And? Actually I'm pleased punters are being scared off Gordon. I think my team can handle a suspension.

Has anybody attempted a Haaland, Salah, Son, Saka, Maddison and Tripper team?

    This is my team

    Areola Turner
    Estupinan Botman Cash Gusto Andersen(Luton)
    Salah Son Saka Maddison Mitoma
    Haaland Alvarez Archer

Haaland, Salah, Son, Saka and Maddison are essential for me

To get to Trippier I can

A). Trippier and Morris instead of Estupinan and Alvarez
B). Tripper and Nakamba instead of Gusto and Mitoma (442)
C). Trippier and Semeydo instead of Gusto and Alvarez (451)

Just something to think about if Trippier appears to be essential in the coming weeks, just a question of will he score more points than Mitoma or Alvarez over the season?

Not quite, financially my team differs from yours by having Vicario, Trippier and JWP instead of Turner, Andersen and Son.

I prefer having 352 [Salah, Trippier, Alvarez] without Son compared to your options.

Anybody else tempted not to buy into the double gameweek?

Most seem to be going for Morris, but Luton have only scored 3 times this season…

Can't see who I would drop to play him if I bought him in. Had Kabore as 4 mil fodder and will probably play him but I'm not making transfers to get Morris in.

Had Kabore from start. Never played him. Will start him this GW. Think 1 clean sheet from either Luton or Burnley is all we can expect or hope for.

Didnt even think Morris' penalty was very good at the weekend tbh.

Yes, I am not tempted. Perhaps if WC soon after it might be worth it but for me it eats up two transfers I will need elsewhere and for very little upside.

      That’s Kaboré.

If only Gordon West of WHU c2012 and João Neves Virgínia had played in the same era. Straight rotation right there. Season keepers.

      West (Virginia)

Does seem the existential struggle is between those that own or disown Salah. I suspect, and hope, having committed to being a disowner, that the greater flexibility afforded without him (mostly) will prevail come the end of the season. Haha! 🙂 I would whisper that the same may become the case with Haaland. I'll get my coat.

I don't think there will be many holding on to Salah during Afcon so the comparison is muddled.

You can own Salah for good runs of fixtures and sell for bad runs. That's my plan anyway!

Yeah but, if you always want him for the good runs you need to make sure you have the funds to get him back, which seems equally restrictive to having him all the time.

        1. Sheffield Wednesday

I'll probably just swap him with Son or similar during the bad times. I don't feel too financially restricted elsewhere at the moment.

It would take 2 transfers to get him back/sell him and spread the funds, if planned right. If a good fixture run is say 5 GWs like is coming up in GW8, this is doable IMO.

3 of their next 5 PL games are 2 days after their EUR games, against BHA, NFO & BRE. EVE & LUT look good though.

I said from GW8 onwards so the Brighton fixture would be the first. Playing on a Thursday and then a Sunday is more 3 days than 2 - the same as a Champion's League team playing Wednesday and Saturday. Mo is well able to play two games in 3 days as he did last week and over the last few years. The Europa League group isn't the best and I expect him to be taken off early/rested as the group goes on.

After the City game in GW 13, the fixtures are FUL, shu, cry, so that's 2 tough games (bha and mci) in 9. I will also captain him in some games when Haaland has a tough fixture so IMO it's worth it.

Going from No Salah to Salah or vice versa is hard, probably a few FT to free up funds. Thankfully We have 2 wildcards.

Having started with Salah I will ditch him in my 1st WC around Gw17. I'll beef up the bench and look for a good week to BB soon after.

Get him back on 2nd WC after the AFCON, if he is looking good and Liv in the title race

No. I wouldn't be after Salah, for a start. Without him, I'd have Maddison & Diaby in for himself and Barnes, Neto instead of Turner & Darwin instead of Archer. I think that works but you get the gist.

    Decided against the WC

    GTG this gw?

    Ederson
    Chilwell - Botman - Kabore
    Saka - Rashford - Foden - Maddison - Sterling
    Haaland - Morris

    Turner - Estupinan - Pedro - Udogie

2.2 m in the bank for the Son upgrade in midfield in gw 8.

GW 10 WC locked as of now

    Thoughts? 🙂

    Onana
    Tripper Estu Udogie
    Rash, Saka, Sterling, Foden
    Haaland, Alvarez, Morris

    Neto, Chilwell, Baldock.

Bench v thin. Worth taking a hit for?
    a) Chilwell to Botman/ Tark
    b) Baldock to Kabore
    c) Leave it
