Just seen how many flagged in Arsenal midfield, Saka might have to start:

    Raya
    White - Saliba/Tomiyasu - Gabriel - Zinchenko
    Jorginho - Odegaard
    Saka - Jesus - Havertz
    Nketiah

Something like that? Or could ESR start over Saka?

I don't rate Arteta pressers. Something like that, yeah. Maybe Tomi RB and White CB if Saliba is out. Jesus LW and Havertz CAM.

I think Saka starts with the state of Arsenal's injury woes.

Which do you think is the best move?
    A) Saka to Bowen
    B) Chilly to Schar (and bench Akanji)
    C) both the above cor -4

Akanji has Wolves who can't hit a barn door with a banjo. So that would be sideways unless it is Trippier.

I think Saka starts so no to A.

Rashford has Palace at home who United just pumped 3-0 a few days ago.

Son has Liverpool who are one of the most in form PL teams in 2023.

Absolutely not. Definitely not for a hit. In isolation, on a WC, yes.

That Man Utd squad is shambolic - quality, injuries, missing players…total mess

And still Maguire won’t start - back four:

It's more so the injuries and despicable humans at RW (bar Pelestri of course).

Just unlucky to have 3 senior left backs all injured and your 3 best CBs out.

Lack of depth at striker is absolutely on the owners though.

Backline is fine bar left back for Palace actually. Amrabat likely playing there.

He's not as good as any you have listed. He's worth discussing for sure and IMO best pick under 6m. JWP only a little more though.

Though, after this week I would take him over Mbuemo and Mitoma for the next couple.

The looming ban makes him less appealing and poor conduct on the pitch generally.

Saka to Diaby is mad this week. If Saka has travelled (which he has), that means minutes at least against Bournemouth. He's also on pens and plays for a better team.

Diaby has Brighton and no set pieces.

Gvar similar xP in my mind to Botman this week.

I'd roll and play Colwill over Estu (I own Estu and am playing him but don't expect a clean sheet).

I think I’ll keep Saka given he’s travelled. I just don’t want to be left in a position where 2 of my players miss out (Gvardiol Saka) and only 1 player (Colwill) to cover…

I know, it’s madness . Swapped him for Bowen on WC knowing I could put him back at the same price assuming he fell. Now I don’t know where to shave 0.1 if it turns out he’s fine

I really want a Villa cover for their nice run of fixtures, but still torn...

    A) Diaby + JWP
    B) Gordon + Bowen

diaby is a great option, has that haulibility of premiums with his positioning right inbehind the striker

A for me, JWP will tick over and outscore Gordon imo

Thanks, man! That's what I'm currently at, so I'll stick with it.

Really confident Villa will get hot and want to join the party early. Although Bowen really is more of a goal threat than JWP, he really is more consistent than Gordon, IMO.

Peeps who are forgoing Son and starting Saka this week, how we feeling?

Arteta's willingness to run Saka into the ground, Saka's presence in Bournemouth, and Arsenal's other injuries have made me ~80% confident he starts. And I find it impossible to determine how much of that % is wishful thinking...

Saka supposedly said on the radio he was fine. He'll surely get some minutes, otherwise wouldn't have travelled at all.

Son was sore, but trained all week long. It's Liverpool, he'll surely start.

Oh! Where did you see that radio thing reported?

And yeah, my basic logic was that travelled = definitely capable of SOME minutes, and probably capable of starting and going to ~60 min.

Yep, my thinking assumes that Son gets at least 80 mins.

I'd take 15 minutes off the bench tbh

My thoughts are he starts, or he comes off the bench "If needed" which gives me hope he could still pop a goal from the bench.

I’m the same and think about 80% of the 80% is wishful thinking…but I’m also about 80% unsure

Hmm I've forgotten my uni studies on how unsureness modifies wishful thinking 😛

I couldn't afford Saka to Son transfer so the question is moot.

My question actually implied a target audience of people who'd resigned themselves to Son-less fate - and had a more cordial, less functional tenor lol. GL!

Sorting out my plans, probably will WC gw9-10, which transfers in gw8 ?

    A) rash alvarez -4 to son watkins/darwin (have diaby)
    B) rash gvardiol/colwil -4 to son udogie
    C) alvarez gvardiol/colwil -4 to watkins/darwin udogie

    1. No Salah

None of the above! Ppl are buying Alvarez on WC - why do you wanna take -4 to get rid?!
