The Saka injury (if that's what it is) is proper annoying. I was leaning towards just keeping and saving FT.

    Leno
    Trippier Cash Udogie
    Salah Saka* Maddison Diaby JWP
    Haaland Alvarez
    Areola // Turner Botman* Kabore

Only have 0.3m ITB. Don't really want to sell any of these potential cash cows...
    - JWP (Diff + strong fixtures soon),
    - Trippier (EO + points potential)
    - Haaland/Alvarez (ofc)
    - Salah (Fixtures + having him..

    Saka/Botman > Son/4.1m?
    (Which DEF?)

My 3 defenders are pretty good for next few. If Botman may miss GW9 (may well), less useful to me now too.

It's annoying as will no doubt beooking at Mitoma/Estupiñán/Watkins very soon too but Salah makes that hard. Can't argue for selling Salah this GW though.

I am delighted with the Saka injury as I was having to make a choice between keeping Haaland and no Saka. Or selling Haaland to get Saka.

Now the decisions are much more easier for me. I am even considering Trossard now if Saka is out a while past gw10.

Or failing that getting JWP and Foster in - covering me for gw18 blanks

But Taylor has a good running up - plus decent fixture gw18 when Haaland blanks and is .2 cheaper - go with that other posters idea.

Thanks for the reply! GW18 a long way off to worry about, but nice bonus. I think looking into fixtures/forums + the small saving, Taylor is looking the best choice. Thomas might be a slightly better shout given fixtures he might play in... but doubt there's much gained by spending extra.

      Taylor at 3.9

Branthwaite might be the best 4.0 DEF outside the newly promoted teams but would have to check the fixtures after this week for the Toffees. Also are Everton any better than the newly promoted sides for fantasy?

Thanks. Not sure if he's nailed but reading forums he had a decent performance today. Did get some chances to provide assists etc. Likely going with him. The 0.1m saving helps.

Looking at EVE fixtures it feels like only 1 or 2 CS till next year so despite not awful awful xGC - probably might avoid.

I don’t mind that bench. Gab is playable, Chuk is going to be the best 4.5 and lower attacker in the game, Taylor is a playable 3.9

Poor phrasing, Gab obviously playable each week rotating with 3 starting DEFs, whereas Taylor just playing but as a 3rd sub think that’s fine for emergencies

If he gets his starting spot back, yes

Goal threat underlying stats are pretty similar

Chuk gets the extra pt when he scores plus CS points. Also the 0.2 cash might be handy

Probably depends how strong you feel about 3-5-2 vs 3-4-3 tho

Chuk is not going to be nailed when he comes back.

Gallagher is a Poch favourite and he looked good in the #10 role (instead of Enzo) last night. I really hope they keep it like this, as we've all been hoping Poch would swap those two around.

Add to the fact our upcoming fixtures are a lot tougher & I think Gallagher's physicality & workhorse-ness will be favoured more.

Chuk may get some starts but I imagine he'll get subbed (e.g. For Gallagher) a bit too.

He's dead cheap but I personally wouldn't go there. Potentially a dead asset, whereas Archer plays 90.

Like everyone can only guess at extent of Saka injury, but I do LOL at people that thought Arteta was playing head games. You don’t plan a sub at the half hour as part of some 4D chess move. Yeah it’s frustrating that he’s got another injury but it’s all part of the game. And he’s been super durable before this.

Personally with no WC will wait and hear timeframes. Probably hold if he’s possibly back after IB, sell if longer

he shouldn't have played at the weekend, his body is clearly struggling and Arteta needed to save Saka from himself, a few weeks off will do him the world of good if he's not seriously injured

first hit of the season a week after my WC, not ideal but for the health of my squad i think its ok, Morris, Kabore ---> Foster, Colwill, it saves me having to play Gabriel against City this week and Foster is a decent pick for an attacking team that will sit on my bench most weeks, 0.2itb for Bruno to Saka soon hopefully if the latter is ok

    Turner
    Digne, Colwill, Brantwaite
    Salah, Son, Bruno, Maddison, Jwp
    Haaland, Alvarez

    Areola, Foster, Gabriel, Botman

To save you asking again, price changes always occur around 01:30am UTC

Search online what time it is UTC and work out when 01:30am UTC occurs in your timezone (which may vary locally at different times of year)

I'd go a. It (probably?) has a higher ceiling and doesn't feature an enabler. And being in a somewhat similar situation, I can't bring myself to sell a nailed-on City attacker at 7m price!

had two free transfers and went early on both (saka to son last night (saved the.1) and sterling to maddison tonight (hopefully save more on sterling drop/maddison rise). can always wildcard if all that backfires with injuries, but feeling pretty confident. price rises should be interesting:

Hi am a moron. An absolute moron. I transfered out Mbuemo to Maddison yesterday due to predicted rises/drops BEFORE the UCL games… and Saka happens (who was already a bit of a risk).

Unwilling to take a hit, I now likely play Archer this weekend. Watch Mbuemo get 2x penalties v united.

I thought this would be my year (to win FPL). Alas.
