I haven't seen the last couple of Chelsea games. When they play Gusto & Cucurella, is it still lopsided with Gusto more advanced & Cucu playing more of a Colwill-at-LB role?

  2. Forest & SHU games under threat...

Forest supporting mate is telling me there's worries about tomorrow's game going ahead due to the rain/river and drainage issues. Apparently a pitch inspection tomorrow at 11am...

I'm a Forest fan and going tomorrow. I still think the game will likely go ahead, the forecast keeps changing when we are going to get the rain.

It won't be the pitch as the Trent End is so close to the Trent it could be postponed due to the safety of the surrounding area.

What a gash source, A mate who is a Forest fan. No proper source or link, just scaremongering. You should be above that, even posting on the last page that it looks likely to be off. 🙄

He’s about as credible as you are. And he’s tweeted that 10 minutes after you have so like you he’s just passing guff info on.
Anyway let’s not fight. You could end this type of confusion by simply wording your statement and HT title differently. State it’s a rumour if you have to and don’t give it the appearance of fact.

You’ve posted some random tweet from someone you don’t know. Can’t you see why that isn’t a good idea. You do this s lot and they usually turn out wrong. Isn’t about time you maybe stopped spreading rumours?

Not sure it's scaremongering, it's been widely talked about locally based on the forecast yesterday and the potential threat of the Trent rising as a result. But it's an ever changing picture as well.....the weather changes.

I do think it will go ahead personally.

I guess it's the timing. Days of rain and a storm coming in through today. More rainfall predicted, flooding in city, do not travel orders etc. No idea if this will actually affect the football, mind

      Via The Athletic...

Nottingham Forest do not currently believe that tomorrow’s fixture against Luton Town will be put at risk by flooding in the city.

The club say they will remain in contact with the safety advisory group, police and local councils over any concerns caused by the continued heavy rain.

But while they will continue to monitor the situation, Forest remain hopeful that their Premier League fixture against Rob Edwards' side will not fall victim to the severe weather, which is expected to continue into tomorrow.

Several roads around Nottingham have been closed due to flooding, while rail services have also been impacted. Dozens of flood warnings have been issued around the county.

But there are no issues as it stands with the City Ground pitch, which was relaid over the summer, with work also done to improve the drainage system.

I do think if it get's postponed it won't be due to the pitch, but the condition of the surrounding area with it being by the Trent. Currently it's still okay, the flooded areas and road closures aren't in the immediate area around the ground. I think tonight will be key, it's forecast heavy until about 10pm.

    Hi all,

    Turner
    Cash/ Trips/ Udogie
    JWP/ Maddison/ Diaby/ Salah/ Son
    Haaland/ Morris

    Areola/ Taylor/ Archer/ Kabore

    1.6m itb and 1 FT.

    Two options I'm considering
    1. Morris to Alvarez this GW
    2. Hold and play Morris this week. Then Son to Saka and Morris to Darwin next week with 2 FTs

So I guess it boils down to Alvarez vs Darwin.

    Thoughts?

I'm in the same predicament. Leaning to Darwin, a bit of a differential and Pool have better fixtures.

I am to be honest. I think I'm getting short term worry on Alvarez playing and doing well tomorrow. And being a Forest fan playing Luton tomorrow it feels a bit wrong having Morris in. But I'm leaning towards the hold this week.
