    Areola
    Digne Gabriel Andersen
    Saka Salah Son Maddison Diaby
    Haaland Nunez
    (Turner Branthwaite Kabore Osula)
    0.4itb

    A) Areola ➡️ Johnstone
    B) Digne/Kabore ➡️ Lascelles
    C) Diaby ➡️ Gordon
    D) Roll

Undecided here. Realistically, I think A is probably the most sensible, B is also very sensible (would play Digne if I keep but even against a toothless Fulham Villa will probably still concede, although he's looked good in the last 2 games), C is probably least needed especially with Diaby having a home game, but I think it's the move with highest upside this week. Any thoughts?

I think going into IB with 2 free transfers would be good so, assuming Haaland is ok, then D

Cheers, I normally like having 2FTs through an IB but I actually rolled for 5 weeks in a row until this past week and often found myself struggling for a move, so I think I'm probably leaning towards using it. Sod's law says I'll end up needing it this time though!

Think I would stick with Digne for Fulham; pretty solid CS % and if Cash is injured I think Villa setup more asymmetrically like earlier in the season and his attacking threat gets a nice bump. A & C both look good. Personally I'm looking to move Diaby on this week

The plan was Saka, but I'm feeling a bit lukewarm on him at the moment tbh. Also considering a Brighton mid (was hoping Fati would finally start this week, but maybe Mitoma is the better option), or Eze/Olise (perhaps a week early for that though). I already have Gordon and luckily started him over Digne this week

Salah missed it first.... watch from an angle behind Salah, he was trying to head it towards goal, missed the ball and direction and it ended up looking like an attempted assist. But Darwins miss was way worse.

Wondering why so many people insist that Salah tried scoring. Look at the replay from the camera facing Darwin's back, it's clear as day that Salah's sole intention is to tee him up.

Must be x0.99G. The 0.01 is taken into account just in case a a defender blindfolds the attacker as he is about to let the ball bounce off him into the net. Absolutely shocking miss and if he's got any shame at all he'll donate his wages this week to charity.

Jesus dependent innit, but I think he’s meant to be out 3/4 weeks - Arsenal have great fixtures in the meantime and Saka isn’t showing up, so makes sense as a short-term punt.

Was planning to WC in UCL fantasy this week but my team actually looks in pretty good shape. Is there any point playing WC when I can get the below team with 2 FTs:

    Wellenreuther
    Dumfries Kounde Ake
    Bellingham Sane Simons Doku
    Kane Vini Morata
    (Sommer, Alphonso Davies, Pedrosa, Thuram)

Not sure if I'd change much more except Wellenreuther, Ake, Pedrosa. Maybe a bit light on Tuesday captaincy options (would probably go for Morata v CEL)?

      • 5 Years

      Great captain shout (Morata).
Is there any sort of consensus on how to play chips? I'm on 229 pts so doing well this season for a change. But it's hard to see the chips being used in the group stages. Is it worth just holding onto them for the very late stages?

      1. The Mentaculus

Typically LL2 / WC3 is very popular just due to having same fixtures 3 & 4, and avoiding the rotation factor in latter rounds. Complicated this year by a poor set of LL fixtures in MD2 so I played mine MD3 (slightly underwhelmingly). The transfer allowances for the knockouts are pretty generous so most tend to play both chips before then, but I might hold my WC for the QFs this time around. On 219 currently.

Ok cheers, will probably burn unlimited in gw6 in that case, especially if there are teams with a lot to play for.
Got 3 transfers this week so Haaland for Morata + redistribution of funds is the idea you have planted in my head.

    Early transfer thoughts for GW12

    - Cash to Saliba/Porro (if Cash is out with shoulder injury, exact funds)
    - Taylor to Lascelles (exact funds)

    - Haaland to Wilson/Alvarez (if Haaland's ankle injury rules him out)

Mitchell might play as Udogie or Gabriel could miss out. Also need Archer to cover Haaland if he misses out too although that sounds unlikely. I want a really strong squad for the Xmas period. Thanks for the feedback.

Latest murmurs is Udogie should be available tonight. Taylor can sub in IF Gabriel doesn't start again (not ideal but don't fancy the hit). I feel it's a bit early to think about taking hits to cover Christmas period and there is no guarantee Gabriel won't start.

Sound advice to be fair, thanks.
Udogie was rumoured to be fit for their last game and missed out completely so we'll see.
I could do Morris and Anderson to Archer and Palmer for free depending on Palmer tonight.

On paper looks good, but I'd be a tad wary of the possibility that Watkins' good run was one of his typical purple patches and now he's reverting to his mean again. But definitely worth a shot I think, can jump off after Bournemouth in 3 weeks' time if it doesn't work out

Yes to selling Jackson. Wilson, Alvarez, Darwin, Nketiah and Watkins are all good options to consider
