Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers face the final furlong with a quickening pace as two Gameweeks get underway over the next seven days to close off the festive period.

The uncertain status of City’s Norwegian Erling Haaland (£13.9m) shrouds the armband conversation in mystery ahead of Gameweek 19 with assets from Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs, instead, among the prime contenders.

We also put a range of differential options under the microscope for the ownership adverse amongst us.

As usual, the Captain Sensible article is here to highlight which assets have the best chance of hauling.

First, we will assess the fallout of the captain poll, before then analysing the best options, Rate My Team (RMT) and the Premier Fantasy Tools ratings ahead of Tuesday’s 11:00 GMT deadline.

Hi all, not expecting this to be coherent at this time on Christmas day, but miracles do happen!

Which option do you prefer over afcon?

A) Get in Odegard, Gross/Richarlison for Salah and Son, and move Archer to Haaland. Means losing both Odegard and Saka to get Salah back (play 343 until WC).

B) Get in Gross and Richarlison for Salah and Son, move Solanke to Haaland. Lose Saka to get Salah back (play 352 until WC)

      I don't see a reason to sell Son before GW21: Brighton and Bournemouth are perfect for him, as neither sits back
      
      Odegaard is still nowhere near Son's explosive potential atm, imo
      
      So I'd wait until GW21, or lose Salah ahead of Newcastle to get Haaland vs Sheffield instead

  B) has a huge upside if you are willing to gamble. If Halland is out for Everton I would actually stick with Jesus til GW21 and not bring in Halland against SUnited. So you have 2 FT for GW 21 and then bring back Halland.
