Postecoglou says Cristian Romero is out for "four to five weeks" with a hamstring strain suffered vs Everton. But in better news, Micky van de Ven should "definitely" be available for the middle of January and "potentially" for Man Utd on Jan 14.

Last time Spurs started with Udogie, Davies, Royal and Porro as the back 4, it was against Man City (GW14) and finished 3-3.

Same back 4 against Villa (GW13) and lost 2-1

Tough one, normally side with the attacker but leaning towards Konsa v Burnley (H)

Best keeper on WC: Areola or Dubravka?

    1. Nate(U)dog(ie)

Going with Pickford myself. Dubravka has awful fixtures until GW23 and could potentially be replaced in Jan, don't trust West Ham or Areola. Might get Neto again later on, was a good transfer a few weeks ago

Are you tempted by Flekken? And who’s your 2nd choice? Also on WC, tempted by Flekken or Pickford alongside Areola or Turner but not really looked at rotations yet

I don't fancy Brentford defensively, think they've always been a bit weak but Raya covered over the cracks a lot when he was there but it's showing now. I'm leaving Turner as my 2nd GK, I don't like it but he's cheap and playing so it'll do for now

Do not get Flekken. He's one of the worst keepers in the league

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earthquakes and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right in the eye and says "Give me your best shot. I can take it."

    TODAY'S HOT TOPIC

Who would you sell to get Haaland back for SHU at home this weekend (assuming he is likely to start)?

    A. Son (BOU at home)
    B. Salah (NEW at home)
    C. I have another route to get Haaland (post below).

    1. Thomas Jerome Newton

      C. Have the money for Darwin to Haaland.

              What is review?
I just wanted to be able to get Haaland back if available while keeping Salah and Son until they go. Will then spend that money on Trent and Saka.

Fair point. Rolling the transfer and playing both Salah and Son in GW20 could be shrewd. There is 2 weeks until gameweek 21 and you could do something clever with a mini wildcard that removes Son and Salah at the same time.

I’m doing this I think, although might do Son > Richarlison in 20 (have 2 FT, will roll the other) and then that means I can bring in Haaland in 21 without a hit

It's going to be Salah for me. I think the second part to.that question is "which striker makes way to accommodate Haaland". I have Watkins,Archer & Solanke and think it's time to.ship out Archer and go.3-4-3 for the first time this season, moving Gordon to a bench slot.

D not getting haaland & hoping Salah C can cover

Could bite me & tumble down the ranks as think haaland back will be very popular, but I brought TAA after selling haaland

What is everyone on wildcard doing with the 2 big hitters?

    A) keep Salah, take a hit for Haaland in gw21
    B) keep Salah, get Haaland in gw22
    C) just get Haaland and hope Salah blanks against Newcastle
    D) have both, upgrade the team in the next few weeks (sth like Salah > Jota in gw21, upgrade someone else in gw22)

Also, are you keeping Saka? Had him since gw1 and the fixtures look good but he has been hurting my team lately

Haaland is back Vs Sheff UTD if he responds to treatment. Will have to lose Salah for a hit because I've managed it so poorly boo hoo

Oh I'm not on wildcard. I'd keep one of Salah or Son maybe if you have silly money invested or it will hurt you later

Yeh bought Salah for 12.5 so quite a lot of value tied up (though he should drop in the next 2-3 weeks quite heavily?)
Son I just got for this week before wildcarding

Your suggestion of holding Salah for those 2-3 games missed (as I'll surely want him back after Afcon anyway) could work, actually. I just have to bin Saka and try to get the value options right I suppose

Haaland has missed a few games now and has dropped just once. FPL will not let Salah or Son drop a lot. I wouldn't be shocked if Salah only dropped once .

I remember KDB A few seasons ago when he was owned by most of the game. He got injured and was out for a few weeks. Everyone sold him expecting him to drop .3 or .4. He dropped .1 eventually after about 3 weeks. Then came back and rose .2 in a week . They know what they are doing so I'd be careful with assumptions

    Areola
    TAA, Porro, Gabreil
    Salah, Son, Saka, Palmer, Gordon
    Watkins, Solanke

    Dubravka, Trippier, Branthwaite, Archer

    2FT, 2.5m ITB

I've got a very similar team to both my open and members cup opponents who like me don't have Haaland.

If Haaland is fit for SHU is this worth a hit?

Trippier, Saka, Archer to Haaland, Garnacho, Gusto (then bench Gordon)

No trying to fit Salah, Son, and Haaland into same 11 for GW20, then probably Salah out for Saka from GW21.

    Trippier, Porro, Robinson
Salah, Son, Bowen, Gordon, Douglas Luiz
    Haaland, Watkins

    Areola, Branthwaite, Lascelles*, Osula*

    2 ft

    A. Trippier to TAA, Son to Saka, Gordon to Elanga (- 4)
    B. Trippier to Gabriel, Gordon to midfielder up to 7.9
    C. Trippier to Gabriel, Gordon to Elanga, Osula to Solanke (- 4)
    D. Trippier to Gabriel/Saliba, Lascelles to Konsa
    E. Trippier to Gabriel, Lascelles to Konsa, Gordon to Richarlison/Kulusevski (- 4, then Son to Saka when the time comes)

Weird how bad the FPL system is with flags
Palmer still red flagged on ‘pick team’ page
Hence he’s the 4th most sold player (with Sterling 5th) ahead of a GW20 fixture vs. Luton with 40k sales
Not complaining as an owner, but it’s not particularly helpful for very casual players!

    1. Sir Matt Bugsby
      • 4 Years

Agree. He should be unflagged after previous deadline. Very misleading.

    2. JBG

Is it really that difficult for them(casuals) to click on the player and press "view information" and see that he will be back 30 Dec?

But as a fellow owner, I don't mind them selling.

It actually says “suspended until 30 Dec”, which could easily be interpreted as confirmation that they’ll miss one more game. I can see how that could catch newer, less engaged managers out

I guess in theory game could be called off (e.g. weather) so that’s why they leave the flag there. But yeah just funny to see him be the 4th most sold player ahead of Luton!
