Which trio would you rather own from GW21 ?

    A) TAA + Alvarez + Granacho
    B) Trippier + Watkins + McAtee

    * All will be playing during AFCON dates as I plan to keep Salah on my bench

I got 2 FT bit too much cash on the bench right now
    Thinking Trippier and Gordon to
    Bowen and a 3.9 defender
Which leaves cash for Salah and Alvarez
To KDB and Haaland hopefully the week after.
Good moves or any chance Haaland and KDB play this week?

Found a great formula to win FPL

Buy players who'll score most points. Don't buy players who won't score many points.

Get a betting company to sponsor you too. Say things like differential, xGI, fixture-proof, with a 'knowing' glance on camera. Refer to PL managers like they're your next door neighbour. Easy money. I'm in fosho.

With regards to Haaland coming back, is it best to change to a 343 formation to keep Solanke and Watkins or upgrade one of them and keep two at the front and if so which one to sell?

If on a WC, Time to get rid of Saka and get in better value option, primarily thinking Bowen to free up some cash?

Also, worth benching Salah (would sell Son) while at AFCON and have a good squad to cover when on WC, mainly due to value tied up as bought at 12.5m (would struggle to get him back)?

Thanks Zophar! Could you give us your advice about price changes (falls) will be for Salah and Son and others going to international tourneys? Do you expect multiple price falls for them if they get sold a lot or will they be “held” by FPL like with some injuries where players don’t drop despite lots of selling? Trying to plan for buying back Salah and Son where I have significant prices rises tied up in both players. Thank you!

Okay, GW isn't over yet but there's already a ton of data for my GW20 transfers:

Not buying Haaland until GW22, triple Newcastle has to be cut down until their form improves, Foden played so well and advanced, Salah definitely stays vs Newcastle, Gusto's return chances are increased by Nkunku's presence lifting the whole attack

    GW20: Gordon + Lascelles > Foden + Gusto. 2 FTs
    .
    Areola
    Trent Porro Gabriel
    Salah (C)Foden (V)Son Bowen Saka
    Watkins Solanke
    .
    Dubravka Gusto Archer Coufal
    .
    GW21: Salah + Son > Richarlison + Garnacho. -4
    GW22: Archer > Haaland
    GW23: Gabriel > Senesi
    GW24/25: Saka > Salah

GW20 cap opinion poll: Son, Foden or Salah? Currently leaning Foden, somehow

Just noticed that my TV is at 107.2 before selling Gordon and Lascelles... 106.9 after I buy Foden and Gusto, assuming they don't rise before the next deadline

Doesn't matter much when I'm at 550k OR anyway

      1. The Big Fella
        • 7 Years
        4 months, 8 days ago

Similar ranks! Mine has fallen to 550k as half my team plays today (was at 400k before the start of this GW). I envision a red arrow this week though, not sure why.

I am currently on Salah captain and Son VC.

I didn’t watch the City game as I was travelling but they have been very inconsistent with form recently and this me off bringing in any City assets until Haaland is back. A lot of upside though and I wish you luck with it.

        1. Ze_Austin
          • 5 Years

Yeah, City's been inconsistent and I hadn't considered a non-Haaland captain for GW20 until Pep's presser saying he hopes Haaland is back in January

Even while inconsistent, City score goals once Rodri is on the pitch. Foden seems to be the main shooter in Haaland's absence, so I'm bringing him in and probably capping, as I still feel Sheffield is this weekend's best fixture

Glad you had a safe trip, btw 🙂

Just been checking combos for getting in Foden for Gordon, I can’t afford it even by downgrading Porro and Livramento to Gusto and Braithwaite. 50-50 whether to leave him in and hope for a recovery in form or bring in Palmer.

            Thanks, me too 😆

Yeah, I wouldn't make those extra moves just for Foden

Gordon to Palmer looks better for your squad, especially with Nkunku's impact on the team's attack so far

Consider D Luiz with those fixtures, fwiw

I'm also looking at those 4 player involved in your GW20 transfer plan. I'd like to get them both but I have just 1 FT.

Gordon looks sellable with the form and fixtures, Foden looks prime target.

Captain wise, I still think Pep rotation is there. If the game is sealed, he could make early change. It could be high reward though.

      1. Ze_Austin
        • 5 Years

Good point there. I guess a counter to that is that Pep doesn't exactly have anybody to sub Foden off for in GW20

Unless an injury forces his hand, of course... I see 90 minutes here

      2. Ze_Austin
        • 5 Years

As for Lascelles to Gusto: Luton should score at home, so it's more of a long-term move for me. I'd say Gordon to Foden is a higher priority since you probably have 3 good defenders to start this weekend anyway, even if you cap Son/Salah instead

              Fact-checking this statement with stats:

Lads, Alvarez has started all of City's 18 games.

He has 8 assists and 5 goals for the best team in the league. 5 goals. 1 in his last 9 games from a penalty.

Is his recent elevation to the forefront of FPL picks, in the absence of his Scandinavian teamate, a bit hasty? Especially when some similary priced or cheaper mids can match or beat his returns? Did I mention 5 goals? 😉

Hi. Will there be a press con as usual today and tomorrow before GW20? Not sure with short turnaround, but it should be useful if there is.

    BUS team for GW20. 1 FT + 3.5m ITB
Is the team good to go for GW20?

    Areola
    TAA - Porro - Gabriel
    Salah - Son - Saka - Palmer
    Watkins - Solanke - Jackson
Sub : Gordon, Udogie, Lascelles | Dubravka

Btw, as Salah, Son, and Jackson leaving on GW21, I think I should save FT or at least take Jackson out to prepare life with AFCON / ASEAN Cup. Given we are clear that Haaland will not be ready for GW20, what do you think about these options?

    A) Play above. Save FT and have 2 FT for replacing Salah, Son, Jackson on GW21.
    B) Jackson (lut) > Alvarez (SHU)

I wouldn't buy Alvarez. Genuinely prefer Wood as a Haaland placeholder, due to his next two opponents' defensive performances and his resurgence (including some stats that are just nuts) under Nuno

Jackson to Wood or roll FT, imo

MUN bre ARS look quite difficult to me.

I watched the highlights of Forest, but haven't carefully checked how they changed under Nuno. It's probably something to watch. Thank you.

Haaland placeholder, so it's Man U and Brentford

Man U is pretty leaky, especially against a good press as they keep trying to play out from the back from Onana's comical goalkicks. Brentford is very, very leaky with their best players injured and loaned out (Raya), getting spanked four times by Wolves at home

Aaaand then Haaland in vs Burnley, or just bench vs Arsenal 🙂

I have him since WC in GW11. Genuinely believe that more would buy him if he was 8m, equating price with quality. Same way De Bruyne will be the most bought player for Salah.

I hope I can get to him after the Asian Cup, but it depends on if I'm playing 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 by then... Essentially: can Solanke maintain this form? If not, it's a switch to Gordon or Hwang

I am going Bowen over Saka on WC. Enables me to keep Salah for GW20 and then assess.
