    2FTs & 2.5M itb.

Not sure of best move, but thinking probably a good idea to do Hee Chan to Bowen, albeit it could backfire this week?

    Open to other suggestions

    Areola
    TAA - Gabriel - Porro
Salah - Son - Saka - Palmer - Hee Chan
    Watkins - Solanke

    Leno / Semenyo - Trippier - Tsimikas*

    2. Trippier-> Gusto to save a bunch of cash. I'm sure I ll need every penny even if offloading one or both of Salah/Son.

    Areola.
    Gabriel, TAA, Porro.
    Luiz, Salah, Son, Martinelli.
    Watkins, Solanke, Alvarez.

Selling Son and Salah is a big deal. You're losing quite a bit of value in them and may struggle to get them back. How do we navigate this?

    1. Holmes
      • 12 Years

Considering the quality of options available, I think I'll be holding them over this period. (atleast one of them)

I've got q 0.3m (Son), 0.4m (Salah) difference between current and sell value on those players and was thinking that that would be made back in players price drops but Haaland dropping just 0.1m despite missing the last 4GWs have got me thinking otherwise. Will probably now hold one.

      1. Zenith UK
        • 9 Years

The difference with Haaland though was the uncertainty of when he's back. Two of the three group stage games will be played before GW21 occurs so we will have a more likely indication of how long Salah & Son will be out for (plus they're guaranteed to miss GW21 & GW22) whereas Haaland was always an unknown (hence why I still have him and have started him each week and even captained him).

My recollection is that Salah took a while to recover his form after AFCON last time. It’s too far ahead and too unpredictable to worry about losing a little bit of value imo

I agree it might take a while players to recover from the tournaments. And thinking about haalands price change. I think it was only 0.1 because everyone thought he will be back after missing just one game

That rings a bell. I seem to recall that I commented at the time that the Salah who went to Cameroon had been replaced by a deep fake such was his dip in form when he returned.

I can’t imagine it’s easy to put heart and soul into a tournament, lose in the final to a team that includes your teammate and simply slip back into the league routine.

An early withdrawal by Egypt may be what we hope for.

Annoying as it is to say Onana has the second best value in the game for GKs, is the second highest scoring GK and faces; Nottingham Forest, a Spurs without Son, a Wolves without Hwang, West Ham, Villa, Luton, Fulham as their next seven fixtures. If I didn't have to worry about my GKs being cheap I'd go back to having him probably. Lord knows he's going to get peppered and cover himself with save points anyway!

Currently, at 53 points with Areola and Porro (c) still to play.

A bit gutted as I just reslised that I went out of the LMS competition with 30 points (safety score must have been around 32) and the general cup as well being beaten by only 2 points.

    Lessons learned:
    1) Never choose a captain like Watkins or Salah who plays one of the first GW games,
    2) Never give a **** about fixtures around the festive crunch time,
    3) Never hope an out of form player like Trippier aside a tired looking team might bounce back just like that only because the content creator said so,
    4) Play the goalkeeper with the worse fixture as he might get the two extra points needed due to the number of saves,
    5) Make those transfers that you really wanted to do before the deadline, don't rely on any "save your FT" advices and rather bring in another player for a hit if you feel it could pay back.

      Agree with most you say.
All teams are different but content creators tend to talk about what is popular rather than surgery needed.

A lot of these are very captain hindsight though and subject to the usual luck of the game. Regarding point 4, imagine if you owned Foderingham and thought you'd take his save pts in the 8-0 Newcastle loss.

In hindsight you are always smarter than the rest.

But that's not the point. I had a poor feeling with Watkins but everything created here sounded so clever and people were like "crazy not to plat Watkins, Tripps, etc.".

          Still my mistake.

I don't think that where a game comes in a gameweek really affects the output from players in that game unless the players didn't get enough rest since the last game.

          • 11 Years

I agree if you pull out your caveat opinion.
I think what I am trying to say is anyone who has influence from a politician, "religious leader" or content creator should first look at their influence doing something worthwhile and considerate, rather than influencing to gain credit.

I think content creators mean well but for most of them its their source of income so you've always got to have that question about if they are genuine or just being a bit clickbaity for views. Above all else they aren't experts in the sense we'd consider most experts in a field. They have years of experience

            1. Tommy Template
              • 11 Years

Didnt finish that comment and hit send but it would have said something along the lines of the games full of luck and there are lots of players with lots of experience who don't have the time or desire to create content. The bigger the pool of experts the lesser their value to us.

I must move Trippier for funds to go Isak to Haaland. Unless I wait for Salah.
I also have Adringa and Tsimikas to move on.
I can field a side but left with Son and Salah next week.
Happy to take a -4 and put my defense right and move for Haaland next week for another -4.

I've held until now but setting aside value it is hurting not having a striker and this Sheff Utd game is too big to go without City attack imo so I've sold for Alvarez today who I will captain. That Newcastle away game is fine to be without Haaland on paper, Burnley home the following gameweek would be a better time to bring back or thats my thinking. Haaland gamble was unlucky, really would have thought he'd have been back by now.

      All looking fine otherwise.

Not sure about you, but I've found this season very odd.

    RMWCT

    Areola ( Dubravka )
TAA Gabriel Porro ( Gusto, Taylor )
Saka Salah Son Palmer ( Garnacho )
    Solanke Alvarez Watkins

    4.1 ITB

Need your support with my thoughts:

A ) Son > Richa on the WC, then Salah > Bowen on GW21
B ) Son > Foden on the WC, then Salah > Bowen on GW21
    C ) Something else ?
