    Early thoughts on this?

    Dubravka Areola
    TAA Porro Gabriel Branthwaite Lascelles
    Salah Saka Richarlison Palmer Garnacho
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

    1ft

    I only lose 0.2 on Salah.

    Sell for someone or just play Garnacho?

      Looks like you're ahead of the curve.

      I would get a City player. Haaland if he looks likely to play, or Foden for Son if not.

    I'm still inevitably going to be tempted to bring KDB in for Burnley even though I know it's too soon. Decent enough gaps between GW22 and 24 (Wednesday to Monday to Saturday) followed by a CL game followed by 3 PL games with a full week between each of them (probably with another game somewhere in there for a double), feel like I'd be able to accept the benching around that given his ceiling

      Tempted too - it makes a lot of sense re managing my team and being able to slot Salah / Son back in

      "I don't expect to be playing too many games. Next week, Newcastle is a big game and I expect to be back on the bench," before adding that he'd be available for minutes if they needed him.

      Why do people hate them so much? The income they give to lower league sides is so important. I get PL sides often have very busy schedules but it just feels like another reason why it's put up on a pedestal and the EFL is just shoved to the side. The gap between the two getting bigger and bigger each year is not a good thing.

        Absolutely agree. Yet there's a ridiculous amount of Champions League games with group stage and 2 leg games and no one bats an eyelid.

        It's a case of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer yet again.

          I include Europa and Europa Conference in this too. If they are looking to reduce games it's the European games which they should be looking at, not the FA Cup which is so important to the smaller clubs for revenue.

        Because ties are dumb in cups. Full stop. They should play each match to its conclusion, including extra time and pens.

          Well if it's dumb then maybe we should have 1 leg European games too then instead of 2 games.

          Nope. It’s perfect as it is. Everyone knows why you in particular don’t like ties, and that’s fine. Keep things your way there and our way here.

          90 minutes is the conclusion though. Especially in a competition like the FA Cup that should be respected. A lower league side holding a top division side to a draw over 90 minutes can be a huge challenge on a good day, 120 minutes makes it even tougher. If PL sides facing each other want to agree to playing to a winner in one game then that should be fine but lower sides shouldn't have to do it and miss out on the benefits of an extra game.

        Solution to lower league teams getting gate receipts - the lower-placed team should always play at home (unless they waive that right). Then no replays.

          well the clubs complaining about replays are the usual bigger clubs that bemoan their own success even when they have benches that could/should beat lower tier sides.
          They got the carabou down to 90min
          They got the 5 sub rule implemented
          They can either put up or shut up with regards to what is still an important competition to many other clubs
          If they don't like it, lose it
          There's more to football than the clubs in Europe and they keep squeezing other clubs, usually to their competitive or financial detriment

      Prem teams should play their youth teams if they despise the FA Cup so much. If not shut up and get on with it like the EPL teams that play 8 more league games do plus some play 2 more FA cup rounds, more EPL cup rounds etc etc

      I am sick of managers such as Klopp moaning on about fixture congestion. What a shame your £100k per WEEK players have to do a bit of extra work. Get over it.

      The FA Cup used to mean something, used to have prestige. The top clubs' attitude as well as the FA's in letting it slide mean its no longer got the shine it deserves.

      Can't wait for them to be gone. The UCL is a two-leg tie because it's supposed to be the best of the best.

      The FA Cup replays are just unnecessary. If lower-league clubs are that in need of the funds then they should say "we're happy to be at a disadvantage and play away from home" [that way they can pick up 45% of Old Trafford/Anfield/Villa Park/Etihad ticket sales instead of their small stadium revenue].

      It causes unnecessary fixture congestion/rescheduling for both PL teams and EFL teams (who already play more domestic league games due to larger leagues). FWIW, televised replays are paid at 50% of what the initial fixture is paid at.

      I agree get rid of replays

      For the money argument. Agree to play it in whoever has the biggest stadium & have 50/50 attendence &/or split ticket sales 50/50

      A firm yes. Frank moaning about a replay, when he had XI v 10 for most of the game. He has no European involvement, and no League cup. So effectively playing a 38 game and a bit season vs the regular 46 game season a club like Brentford used to play in the Championship. And you can bet if Brentford were League 1 or whatever they'd have loved a money spinner in a replay at home vs a PL team.

      I can remember late 80's Utd going to a second replay, 88/89 I think, v QPR the year before winning it. And then another replay in the 5th round I think I recall? Brian McClair scored.

    Could we see Werner LW until Son is back from Asian Cup. Better for Johnson on the RW for crosses into the box and Kulu playing as a 8/10.

        High intensity from the forwards pressing under Angeball normally leads to early 60-70 mins subs. When he gets the squad depth, this will happen more regularly. Seen it happen when he was at Celtic.

      Posted this yesterday;

      I went through the same issue in my group chat with the boys around the time you posted this funnily enough. So;

      vs Burnley last night;
      Kulu Lo Celso Johnson
      Richar

      vs Bournemouth GW20;
      Johnson Richarlison Son
      (Kulu suspended)

      vs Brighton GW19;
      Johnson Kulu Son
      Richarlison

      vs Everton GW18;
      Johnson Kulu Son
      Richarlison

      Minutes for the last five GWs (recent to old);
      Richar - 81, 64, 62, 71, 72
      Johnson - 81, 69, 90, 31, 85
      Kulu - 0, 90, 90, 90, 90
      Son - 90, 90, 90, 87, 90

      Son is leaving until approximately GW24/GW25.

      Ange plays all four of these attackers week in, week out, with Richarlison already the lowest minutes. Werner will replace Son and either play LW (Richarlison stays ST) or ST (Richarlison goes back to LW). Richarlison's minutes won't be affected until Son returns from AFC or Maddison comes back from injury. Maddison is expected back GW22, he hasn't played in months, and probably won't be "back" until GW24 earliest, just like Son.

      Does anyone really plan on having Richarlison once Maddison and Son are back? He's still a viable short-term punt.

    I find it annoying when people copy the moves of an FPL content creator and then accuse them of bad advice when it goes wrong.
    The content creator didn't give them bad advice, they just blatantly copied someone.

    The "it's my boy' crowd who spend 5 mins on FPL and copy an expert who has spent hours researching that week has distorted the ranking.

    Think I need a new FPL game next season where my opponents aren't spoon-fed their moves by experts.

    Any suggestions?

        Could be exciting to play, but if you have to watch the matches for research, you'd rather want to scratch your eyes out. The level of technical abilities in that leauge is pretty low and the speed is pretty slow as well.

        EFL championship is a better watch.

        But as fantasy game, could be fun yeah.

          I've lived in Norway a few years now but the only game I've seen here was the Leeds v Man Utd friendly. Might try to change that this year. Think it'd be fun to research from scratch and see a few games.

          Championship fantasy is a good suggestion too but my Leeds bias was a hindrance last year so swerved that.

        It's not a transfer decision really as I have them both already. I was just wondering which one to play and which one to bench..

        Newcastle are not in their best form lately meaning that Walker can get away with a CS from St. James Park, but in the same time Luton at home is a hard to ignore fixture..

      A) Archer to J. Pedro (FT)
      B) Cash/Botman to Estup/Gusto (-4)

      With A, I have Bowen/Solanke doubts in my XI and only Cash/Botman on the bench. Would also just be a placeholder for Haaland

      With B, I'd have Archer/Taylor on the bench for a bit better cover. Would improve the squad longer term and still allow funds for Archer to Haaland next week

    if you don't you play a never ending catch up.
    So don't waffle in the interests of safety if you see a player with a big upside jump on , lets go Phil.
