My route back to Salah (by selling Jota) in GW27 involves a 0.7 downgrade elsewhere. Who needs to go?

    A - Raya (only leaves 4.2)
    B - Richy
    C - Solanke
    D - Konsa (to 3.8 fodder)

    Raya
    Gabriel - Branthwaite - Maguire
    Foden - Richarlison - Palmer - Jota - Saka
    Haaland - Watkins

    Areola - Solanke - Gusto - Konsa

D I think. Could try Konsa - Calum Chambers? He might get some mins

Yeah I was thinking Chambers or Baldock at Brentford who is flagged but might come back soon.

Probably Richarlison as you'd want Solanke for DGW28 and you'll have even less money and defensive options if you sell your 2nd most expensive defender (Konsa) leaving you stuck with having to play 2 budget defenders at all times.

Personally I think Son is a better option than Salah from GW27 onwards in your team's current structure

It's got to be one from the front 8 eventually. It's going to be hard rolling without a fodder option and trying to shoehorn Salah, Haaland and other expensive players in.

B (next week) would be sensible.

Want to sell TAA Palmer for a hit, thoughts?

    1) Maguire (or other up to 4.2) KDB

    2) Ake (or any other def) Jota

I could pick Bradley in 1) but he blanks in GW26 and are we sure he starts both DGW games? Kinda sounds like an immediate transfer out. There is also Bell with 2DGWs but not like I'm convinced. Eventually Lamptey to double with Estu.
If going 2), reckon Ake sounds pretty good with DGW and game in GW26.

I don't see the point of Man City defence. Yes they double, but they play two sides capable of scoring against them (as are most sides) and you will probably be looking to shift Ake on again as it's an expensive defender to have and not be nailed.

I'd actually go for a £4.2-£4.5m defender who plays in 26 and 29 and Jota - which is what I'm doing

        Counter argument:
        - bookies odds have both Chelsea and Brentford at 0.9 and 0.8 goals
        - is 5.0m in comparison to TAA that expensive?

I do agree he will be transfer out in 28 for Bournemouth/Luton doubler

          Counter counter argument:

          - What were the odds on Copenhagen, Burnley, Luton, Bournemouth, Young Boys, etc scoring?
          - Not expensive compared to Trent, but it is compared to cheaper options like Branthwaite and Maguire - that £1m will come in handy with Son and Salah back

Sure, folks can either use the points scored or look at underlying data to predict future points.

I did say he is a sell in 28 for a doubler. Folks running with one premium should find it easy to fit in Son in 27. I don't think Salah is required until after BGW29.

With Bernardo and Grealish picking up injuries, is Doku a legit punty option for DGW25? I can’t really get to KDB, and don’t want to burn a FT. Very tempted, would be Palmer out. Alternative would be Gross.

Who are folk's top GK picks? (generic question), I either need to play Petrovic or take a hit for him/turner. I don't know whether it's better going for a cheaper GK like Areola/Dubravka or just invest in Raya as second Arsenal Def, Alisson or Martinez/Onana.

    Thoughts on

    Porro + Palmer

    To

    Gabriel + KdB (-4)

    Cons-
Hit to buy a SGW defender who might randomly concede
Porro might finally haul & i miss out

    Pros-
Gets me another player for BGW 26 (less reliance on Taylor/Archer)
Might haul against a team bad at set pieces
Sets me up well for the long run as we'll eventually move to double arsenal defence
Around GW29, can buy Udogie as he seems to be better at this point than Porro (triple spurs with son & Richarlison)

    1. Yozzer
      • 8 Years
      1 year, 9 months ago

Mmm not sure. I think you should keep and bench Porro if you are saving your FH. Long term planning is the key I think. I know there is FOMO with Kev but it's not worth hits now and going forward

    2. Yozzer

I'm still mulling over playing the BB. Very wary of benching Palmer and Estu this week. Palmer could well score at his old club, and Estu is at Sheff U. Ode>Foden seems obvious, then roll the second FT. Not keen on the idea of removing Spurs this week.

BB makes most sense in GW28 though for me really, as Palmer and Garnacho both play at home. Get Neto and Senessi in maybe too?

    DGW25 Ode>Foden
    BGW26 Richy>Garnacho and play 10
    GW27 Alvarez>Solanke
DGW28 BB Solanke(c) plus spare FT

    Areola
    Porro Gabriel DOUGHTY
    Son Saka Richy FODEN
    HAALAND(tc) ALVAREZ Watkins

    Turner Palmer Estupinan Branthwaite

If I played my normal players and BB this week it would be FLEKKEN Palmer DOUGHTY Branthwaite. Seems ok to me for 15 points?

Hmm both good options. R & T sets you up nicely for GW29 if you don't plan to FH it

    Cheers.

You know, if Chelsea keep Man City at bay loads will be saying it was obvious to wait for Solanke TC in gw28.

But Haaland is primed and the ceiling is high...

      Similar dilemma here as above.

      Turner would become Flekken
      Palmer
      Doughty
      Branthwaite

One thing I've noticed though is DGW28 if you own Garnacho and Palmer by then both are at home. Difficult to bench either. So maybe that is the week to work towards? BB of Neto Garnacho Doughty Branthwaite is my plan. Maybe bring Sinessi in too. As all my regular players Estu Gabriel Aerola etc have a decent home game so wouldn't want to bench any.

So I'm leaning towards TC this week, BB in DGW28, FH if needed in BGW29. Wildcard as a safety net.

If Haaland had one SGW. Who would you consider captaining over him?
If you had the choice of a player with 2 SGW’ for 25 and 26, (forgetting future fixtures) would you sacrifice a DGW player with 1 DGW and no fixture in GW26? If so, who would be the priority to transfer? Example Darwin or Watkins/Solanke?
