    We've now had 38 straight games with over 1.5 goal scored. Have to go back to 30 Jan and first day of GW22 for one that had fewer goals.

      Averaging 3.24 goals per game over the season, which is easily the highest it has ever been in the Premier League era. Probably a lot of this can be explained by the increase in added time, but I don't think that explains all of it.

        Would be interesting to compare the average gametimes this season and previously and goals scored in the last 10 minutes of games. In my head the fatigue of longer games should lead to more goals because more mistakes are made. In practice teams are savvy, taking breaks in games, slowing the clock breaking up their opponents momentum. Maybe interesting is the wrong word, but it is for a nerd like me!
