Best 4.3 defender for this gameweek other than maguire.

It's got to be Braithwaite, I guess. Right?

Or a Burnley defender as I am playing them only for this fixture...

Hee chan and Ode are close picks. Maybe Hee Chan slightly edges it due to playing CF but Ode plays for a much better attacking team and hitting form

    2ft and 5.2itb

    Ederson
    Saliba Reguilon
    Saka Foden Garnacho
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

Dubravka; Richarlison, Palmer, Doughty, Porro*, Konsa*

Palmer + Konsa -> D. Luiz + Pau makes the most sense? Can then field full XI this week and should also be good for my gw29 team since I'm not free hitting then. Planning to dead end and wildcard in 30/31.

Decent fixtures in 26, 27, 29 and 30. Don't need anything else since WC is played latest gw31. Hard to go wrong with 4.6 Pau Torres

Forest and Luton (A) are tougher fixtures than you think. Injuries to Kamara and Konsa certainly impact CS potential. Nailed but low ceiling 2 or 6 pointer.

Can we settle on what the appropriate spelling and usage is as HHc will be a popular pick this week:

    1. Hee-chan
    2. Hwang
    3. Hwang Hee-chan
    4. HHc
    5. Hwangso

    What does the player prefer?

We do like a 3 letter go to identifier on here... Does he need a few more goals and EO for that accolade?

Morning everyone. Pondering whether i should use FH 29 or try and get a team together with transfers. Players w fixture in 29 are in caps

    AREOLA
    Branthwaite, Ake, Gabriel, Senesi
    Saka, Foden, Hwang
    Haaland, WATKINS, Solanke

    Dubravka, Palmer, PORRO, RICHARLISON
    0FT, 6.9 ITB

    The route i see is:
    GW26 - Palmer -> Bailey (-4), bench Senesi (MCI)
    GW27 - Branthwaite -> Doughty
    GW28 - Foden -> Bowen
GW29 - Solanke, Hwang -> Toney, Son (-4) obv if Wolves blank

This would give me 9 players for BGW 29 and obv i would WC in 30
    What do you think?

If we don't get any more teams playing in 29, I think that's probably enough, but it totally depends on what the comparable FH team looks like when we know the fixtures.

If Chelsea lose v Leeds in the FA Cup it would mean Arsenal and Chelsea players would play in BGW29, can we be optimistic Leeds will win and do us a favour?

The bookies have Chelsea as easy favourites but Leeds recent form is decent and they have an extra 2 days rest before the match next Wednesday night. If Sundays League Cup final goes to extra time, it could be even better for Leeds chances…

    Last 5 matches goals:
    Chelsea: Scored 10 / Conceded 11
    Leeds: Scored 14 / Conceded 1

    Clutching at straws?

I wouldn't write us off. Our 2024 record is 8 games, 8 wins, 21 scored, 1 conceded (if I remember rightly).

Farke has been fielding strong XI's in the cup, so the club clearly has an appetite for a cup run. The players seem really motivated.

Certainly the underdogs, but anything's possible in the FA cup!

Not impossible. I'd fancy our chances more at Elland Road, although Chelsea's away form does seem to be picking up now. Current form is great but played a lot of teams languishing near the bottom of the table & been in complete control of these games. Will be interesting to see how our defence shapes up against PL attacks - I suspect its not really ready for that leap tbh & Firpo v Palmer could be a disaster. But I have hope, Chelsea are still pretty inconsistent & our attack is certainly capable of troubling them

    4. Gommy
      • 14 Years

As daft as it might sound, Leeds best approach to the game will be to not come out and playing attacking football against us, we are notorious for struggling against teams that sit back, play the low block and hit on the counter.

I'd like to think so but I feel only Jota will be missed from those that don't make it. Maybe Trent too. Salah and Nunez will be back.

We'll still be missing 2, if not 3 that would arguably make us stronger.

If you're planning on FH29 then Saka for Jota and another defender within your budget - maybe Branthwaite or Dawson/Ait-Nouri?

If you're playing through BGW29 without using FH then I'd still get Saka in as even with a game less, he'd still most likely outscore any Villa or West Ham midfielder

Senesi and Solanke and maybe one other if I don't have something more urgent to use my GW28 FT on.

Depends on who plays in 29.

If Luton or Bournemouth play in 29 I'll try and double and maybe even triple on them. If neither of them play then just Solanke + Doughty + maybe Bournemouth defender. There are no slots for a 2nd Bournemouth attacker.

Depends on Wolves beating Brighton and/or Bournemouth beating Leicester in the FA Cup fifth round. Then I’ll have 2 or 3 Bournemouth for DGW28 (and play them in BGW29) but zero Luton for me.

4...Kaminski, Doughty, Solanke, Senesi. FH 29 so I don't care about blanks.

Have Adebayo, Solanke, Senesi and Doughty. Adebayo leaves for Toney, so 3 DGW28, thats about it.

    Areola (Dubravka)
    Walker, Gabreil, Pau, Branthwaite (Porro)
    Foden, Saka, Gordon (Palmer, Jota)
    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke

Is Hwang a better mid term option that Gordon (planning to FH29, WC 35/36 to set up BB37) ? Trying to decide if this is worth a hit

Jota to Hwang this GW (bench Branthwaite)
Gordon & Walker to Salah (or Son) and Senesi next GW.

Keeping Gordon for GW27 gives me a benching headache and Hwang has a better fixture in GW28 so very tempted.

That's sad. Didn't realise he was that old but thinking about it the Germany and Inter teams he played in were 30+ years ago. Time fly's.

    All set for GW26.

    Thoughts on this?

GW27 - Raya > Neto + Jota > Saka (-4) (Need to sell Raya to get Saka).
    Neto @ Burnley then DGW28 + Saka(c) @ Sheffield United.

    DGW28 - Estupiñian > Senesi + Álvarez > Solanke (-4).

Potentially yes but the Estupinan downgrade is to afford Solanke.

Ideally both from 27 but I think Saka is a higher priority

Klopp is up at 1.30pm today, so hopefully some concrete updates on Jota and co then. Not got a time for Edwards yet but it's likely around the same time.

    Out of those 3:
    A) Hee Chan

      Hee-chan.

Adingra is good if he's being picked consistently, which is possible. Perhaps him and Gross are the locks in the Brighton picks?

Adingra started a ridiculous amount of games consecutively before the injury then straight back into the 11 after AFCON. I think he'll be fine for regular starts

Fixtures, form, value... if you're not fixated on the number of starters for 29, they're much better options than e.g. West Ham mids right now

Because they don't check which teams Wolves suits to play? If you researching into Wolves numbers the upcoming fixtures isn't that good.
