    Start one:

    A) Doughty (AVL)
    B) Botman (WOL
    C) Botman to Senesi/Kerkez -4 (bur)

I'll probably sell Haaland to Morris with my FT next GW, so a BOU def would still be a hit then

    I'm trying to decide whether FH29 is a must, even if you only have four to seven players. So I'm going to be looking at GW29 in a breakdown by team;

    Burnley:
    - Relegation battle for a reason. 2nd worst defence in the league.
    - Not a single player has scored more than 4 goals this season (Foster*, Amdouni).
    - Most assists (3) are defender O'Shea(!?) and Foster*.
    - Will most likely lose this fixture, wouldn't want defenders from this team, midfielders look awful and no thank you to the forwards.

    Brentford:
    - Only LUT, BUR & SHU have conceded more goals so far this year, granted they're missing key defenders.
    - Awful fixtures until GW33.
    - For GW29 would only consider Flekken & Toney. Wouldn't want the former after GW29.

    Luton:
    - Relegation battle for a reason. 3rd worst defence in the league.
    - Given the double in 28 people may be more open to considering some of their assets, but one team is BOU(a) and the assumption is (for most) Solanke likely to score.
    - Nasty fixtures GW30, GW31 & GW33.
    - Will be a proper back and forth game with NFO(h) in 29.
    - Because of DGW28 as well as GW29 I'd consider Doughty, Barkley, Morris.

    Nottingham Forest:
    - Barely keeping their head above water, joint-fourth worst defence in the league (with Brentford).
    - Will have a proper go at LUT(a) in 29 to put some space between themselves and the drop.
    - Only face two of the top six in their remaining 10 games (from GW29) would leave me more open to picking up one of their players as fodder.
    - I'd probably swerve their defenders and as an outside punt for a GK I'd consider Sels for fixtures like CRY(30), FUL(31), WOL(33), shu(36), bur(38)
    - Midfielders are sharing the responsibility so picking the right one of Elanga, MGW or CHO could be tricky. Elanga 1G, 1A in last 4. MGW 1G, 1A in last 4. CHO 3G, 0A in last 4.
    - With Wood out injured Awoniyi's return has come at a great time, 2G & 1A in his last 5 (worth noting only played 45 in two of his last 5 and 60 in two of his last 5, completing 90 just once).

    Fulham:
    - With GW29 opponents TOT being highly aggressive followed by fixtures like NEW(h), WHU(a) & LIV(H) in 32,33,34 I wouldn't want any FUL GKs or defenders. Even Robinson is doubling his xA
    - None of their midfielders stand out and their forwards are even more lacking with the exception of Muniz (he scoured four of their last eight).
    - Only asset I'd consider would be Muniz, barely, and that's because he's fodder.

    Tottenham Hotspur:
    - They really want UCL this year and they should walk Fulham, but you never know in a "London derby".
    - Most of us probably offloaded Porro from his injury but he should be back for GW29 if you haven't, and whilst I think Spurs walk this game Fulham have scored eight in the last four and Spurs aren't known for their defensive prowess. Vicario has 5 clean sheets in 25 games this season meaning they've conceded 38 goals in 20 games (nearly two per game) which means your defenders are likely getting one point unless picking up an attacking return.
    - Now that Richarlison is out for 2-3 weeks that leaves us looking at Kulu, Maddison & Johnson as the more affordable midfielders.
    - Son's only played 1800 minutes this season but is the fourth highest scoring midfielder with 142, (Foden 2130 to 143 | Salah 1800 to 167 | Saka 2130 to 169) which puts him in immediate contention.
    - Assets interested in; Porro (because most already have plus attacking returns) with Son, maybe Maddison.

    West Ham:
    - A tough game vs AVL in GW29, have they returned to form or did they just expose how poor BRE are this season?
    - Most already have Areola, check.
    - Emerson looks more lively with Paqueta back in the side but we can assume that with the worst defensive record in the top half of the table and only bettered by the likes of BOU, BRE, NFO, LUT, BUR, SHU that they will probably concede to a dangerous AVL side who have UCL aspirations. This rules Emerson and the rest of the WHU defenders out.
    - Bowen seems the go to now he has the three behind him he plays best with (plus Antonio's return should see him occasionally switch to RW where he flourishes). That's easy to say after he hits a hattie though, eh? Lovely fixtures vs an EVE side that would only be two positions better off if it weren't for their point deduction (15th > 13th) and 19th placed Burnley means he's a very viable candidate for GW29.
    - Alternative midfield options JWP (0 attacking returns in last 4), Kudus (1 attacking return in last 4), Soucek (0 attacking returns in last 4) and Paqueta (recently back from injury) leave you wanting more than what they're currently offering.
    - Only interested in; Areola (because we already have him) and Bowen.

    Aston Villa:
    - Only two clean sheets in their last 10 fixtures rules out Martinez and his constantly shape-shifting backline but if you had to pick it would probably be Cash or Moreno because, well... full-backs over centre-backs, huh?
    - In midfield most are eyeing up D. Luiz, in-form and on penalties, fun fact? No club in PL history has conceded more penalties than WHU (99) and to be more recent, they have conceded the joint most so far this season (6). Bailey is another performing well but his xmins leaves a little to be desired however they have increased each week since GW22 (28,59,72,80,90)
    - Only Haaland and Salah have scored more goals than Watkins so far this season, impressive given he's not on penalties. He's also joint-top for assists. He's also the top points scorer in the game, for good reason.
    - Desirable assets are Watkins and D. Luiz or Bailey.

So why have I made this post? I've been thinking about FHing in 29 and then thinking the teams I'd want players from WHU, AVL face each other and then I already hold one of the two Spurs assets I want plus one of the Luton players, how many more do I really want? From what I've written I'd be missing out on Toney and Awoniyi and well with Solanke needed in 28 (and maybe 27) plus Haaland and Watkins, I'd don't have room for either really.

    So the question is what is the bare minimum you'd have in GW29 to make you not want to FH and do we think the points lost in GW29 could be easier to recoup in a later week where teams like MCI, ARS, CHE, LIV, TOT all double instead?? The ideal FH team would look something like;

    Flekken
    Porro, Doughty, Emerson
    Son, Maddison, Bowen, D. Luiz
    Watkins, Toney, Awoniyi/Morris

So how many points do we expect this team to get over the players you probably already have from this team?

      I'm currently at;

      Areola
      Doughty, Porro
      X
      Watkins

I'd be aiming to get Son & Bowen in, by GW29. So the question becomes how many points do the following score; Emerson, Maddison, D. Luiz, Toney and Awoniyi/Morris + Flekken over Areola. Is it worth NOT FHing in GW29 so that it's a viable option in another GW later in the season.

It's not that I wouldn't consider them, but there's great differentials there like MGW, Muniz, Barkley, Johnson, Regulion. But I only have 3 players playing so far for 29. It's a no brainer to FH for me

GW29 just doesn't appeal to me.

I think most teams will have the majority of the main players you'd want, without a FH.

I'm planning -4 GW28 for 2 Luton, then -4 GW29 for Toney, Son. Will give me 8 (assuming Pau, Udogie are fit). Then, WC GW31.

All a bit meh, for me. Want to get it outta the way.

      Good work!

The other consideration with no free hitting is both Villa and West Ham will have had their 2nd legs. So you have emotion factor depending if they qualified, fatigue given Thursday and potential for extra time and then rotation too.

I think it's this that is making me FH as it would be really frustrating to add some of their players only for them to be rested.

Oh and I'm a Hammer and Brentford being soooo poor definitely papered over the cracks.

I'm a hammer too, but what you've said is actually one of the reasons I'm against FHing probably. I think Bowen plays regardless, same with Watkins, anyone else doesn't really feel worth it. Guessing the scoring player becomes even harder than usual

Richi to Son and Gordon to Palmer worth a -4? Don't have quite enough for Richi to Son (0.1 short!) and I want Palmer longer term anyway. FH GW29.
Alternative would be to just switch Dubravka to Kelleher to free up the cash instead...
Or just Richi to Maddison/Palmer - no hit.

Is this worth a WC out of? Or just Garnacho -> Son? Was set on no-FH29 but with Spurs injury news I'm just tempted to press the button to be in a better shape for gw27-29 and onwards

    Ederson
    Saliba Pau* Doughty

I've asked this previously but got a nil response. I was on Areola but now I see Hwang is out as well as Cunha, Wolves attacking threat is diminished slightly.

As an Estupinan owner, shall I?

      A) Sell him for Doughty
      B) Save the FT, start Reguilon (home to Chelsea)

Who are people picking from the «duo that never return» Dubravka and Areola this GW?

Leaning towards Dub. Wolves looked poor last week and Hwang out as well.

I have been on Areola but I'm wavering

I'll likely go the Hammer due to Everton having less firepower and them being in a good frame of mind after Monday...

Could you do something like Jota > Son and Porro > Doughty or Senesi?

      Son

Tough. Everton are pretty solid at home. Usually concedes max 1 goal.

Then again, he has form and Son not so much. I’m still leaning towards Son.

    Udogie. Porro. HWANG. Solanke.

Don’t really have a choice on wildcard here do I

They really need those 2 back in the starting 11 ASAP. Cash will be a liability against Doughty

    Current Team

    Dubravka Areola
    Gabriel Zinchenko* Doughty Senese Maguire*
    Saka KDB Foden Richarlison* Hwang*
    Haaland Watkins Solanke*

5 flags with Zinchenko very unlikely to play and Solanke a doubt.
I already made my free transfer going Porro to Senesi.

Thinking I'll take a hit and do Richarlison to Palmer/Bowen(don't have funds for Son)
Or really fix the team and WC?
