I plan to FH29, any changes needed here? 3.3itb. Son or KDB to Salah if ye was fit but I'm not sure it's sensible with this lingering injury, although home to City could be goals

    Neto (Areola)
    Saliba, Gabriel, Senesi (Branthwaite, Ait-Nouri)
    Son, KDB, Saka, Palmer (Garnacho)
    Solanke (c), Watkins, Haaland

If you have the transfer, I don't mind KDB to Barkley to get one more doubler. This is assuming you don't have long term plans for KDB.

Hi. I could be wrong but, as we are on a football forum, I assume we all hate VAR - to me, the biggest destroyer of football since World War 2. Some say more, some say less. Tomato, tomato! (that doesn’t really work written down does it, ha). But, whatever your view (on what really doesn’t matter when there is genocide and conspiracy theories in the World that are literally killing people), I will continue. If we insist on keeping the football killer, why not at least make it good? The Watkins goal for 2 0 tonight, for example. In a hugely significant moment in the game, we found out if it was a goal from someone who looked like they were playing Charades when he was given a TV programme to describe. Really? In a multi-billion pound industry! At least put it on the screen, like Tennis, Cricket and Rugby and make it part of the spectacle. Anyway, hope you are all well. Peace x

My most understanding take on this is: the refs are still getting used to the technology and they're not as fast and efficient with it as they can be. As a result, they want to have the process behind the scenes, so as not to invite undue pressure.

Once they're comfortable with it (or there are VAR specialists), we'll see a faster and more open process. Atleast I hope so..

    Better move for DGW28?

A - Start Martinelli (BRE) for free

    B - Get Tavenier (SHU,LUT) for -4

Predictor sites seem to think the hit for a Bou mid is worth it.. Mart only likely to play 65 mins but can always explode..

I suspect BB27 would have been on for many.

    Especially with the goalkeeper combo.

Also Caoimhin Kelleher has been playing at £3.7m, but that opportunity may have gone by for now.

Even so, a BB28 could still be a good play.

Are most going to sit it out for BB37?

I think in this sequence with strong squads BB has been viable for 3 or 4 weeks.

People obbess about the perfect fixtures but anybody can score points in any week.

              That's the beauty of football.

And dgw25 with TC also demonstrated that blanks can happen across back to back home fixtures.

I benched Palmer and Gusto this week, but with Solanke uncertainty and Turner for a hit the BB was not the play.

It might be next week as I've currently got KDB, Moreno and Bradley.

Just got to back goals and not clean sheets with attacking returns for defenders.

Took my hit last week so none this week, will have Doughty, Senesi, Solanke (c) & want one more defender for free, prefer Bournemouth over Luton because they could stay benched until the BB in 37.

Will probably bring in Neto and a Bournemouth defender (probably Senesi) (-4) for GW28.

      Gives me:

      Neto
      Walker - Senesi - Doughty
      Son - Saka - Palmer - Garnacho
      Haaland - Watkins - Solanke

      (Kelleher, Foden, Porro, Taylor)

With enough ITB to do Foden - > Salah after FH in GW29

Random DZ musings- Think I am leaning more and more into WC 28 strat, team dependant ofcourse but with no Bou currently and only 1 Luton (who play thrice in the next 2) I really think there is upside...plan to get Salah in by 30 and Haaland in by 31 which would give me a solid core at the right time of Salah, Son, Saka, Palmer, Haaland, Watkins..the rest of the team can be tailored around with FTs to maximize good fixtures and bb37, FH34 to punt on likely doublers from Utd, Palace etc

Bear in mind Man Utd (I assume...) & Newcastle are the least likely of the potential GW34 doublers as they both have to lose the FA Cup QF ties for it to happen - probable given the draw but still requires 2 results to go your way

You'll either be taking hits now, or later. I like WC 28 as well (might even do it), but I'd rather WC Salah and Haaland *in* than out.

    Quick thoughts for DGW28.

KDB - Foden (liv) - Saka (BRE) - Son (avl) - Palmer (NEW)
Haaland (liv) - Watkins (TOT) - SOLANKE*

    1. Selling KDB for one who have easier game on GW28 and also play GW29
    (a) Bowen .. BUR + AVL
    (b) Barkley .. is DGW28 a trap?
    (c) D Luiz .. TOT + whu
    (d) Kudus .. viable alternative?

    2. Benching Foden (liv) and starting Watkins (TOT), right?

I think benching Foden is fine, I plan to do the same this week, if it was at the Ethaid & not Anfield I’d not be so comfortable doing it.

Most likely doing Hwang/Darwin -> TAVERNIER/SOLANKE (bench Gordon (che) with my 2FTs this week and then FH29. Any of these worth a -4 for SENESI?

    A) Estupinan (NFO) - bad fixtures post 29
    B) Porro (avl) - good fixtures post 29
    C) Burn (che) - good fixtures post 29

    A) makes sense given not nailed, but you just know he will haul the week I finally bin him!

    Areola
    Gabriel, Estupinan, Porro
    Kdb, Saka, Foden, Gordon
    Haaland, Watkins, Darwin

    Kelleher, Burn, Bradley, Hwang

Fair point - me neither! Other option would be Senesi/Solanke in (start Gordon) this week and either Hwang -> Palmer or KDB/Foden -> Salah/Palmer (-4) in 30. Better?

Quite difficult for me to share my thoughts as I'm not planning for FH29 and still processing info on chip strategy.

Btw, I'm quite certain for selling one of KDB / Foden for Bowen to play GW28-29. That's all I know at the moment.

I'm tripled up on Man City and Arsenal with double Bournemouth and the fixtures look promising.

I get it but it seems as my week to week is bad luck at the moment.

Not bad decisions just bad luck.
Which means the game is luck based.

          • 8 Years

          About right?
He was at centre of every attack.
Hit the post, came very close twice and Johnson butchered his assist.

          1. Sir Matt Bugsby
            • 6 Years

If there was a return in those moments then there might not have been the goal he scored. It's all situational. Thinking every situation will turn into a return is naive..

              • 8 Years

I guess.. didn't feel that way to me until Johnson came on as a sub. Spurs usually have problems in creating big chances against back 5 (Luton, SHU, Brentford). They eventually win but make hard work of it, so anything from 0-2 returns is possible.

    3. The Mentaculus

Maybe its just me (and my stubbornness) but if my captain puts in a performance that's close to a massive haul like that, and the match pans out roughly how I thought it would, then I'm reasonably satisfied with the decision at least - as opposed to, say, capping Bowen for similar points but no shots. Anything beyond that is out of our control

I feel all you can really do each week is get 11 FPL type starters and the rest is out of your hands, other than a bit of ahead fixture planning. Even then a lot of points come in unlikely fixtures too. I feel like I get an injury during a game every week this season. If you could predict football you would not be on here but more likely a superyacht in Bermuda…

Or a lucky goal on the break at the end when Palace were pushing forward. Take the points and run 😉

The Robbo one is just bad, bad luck. Had a very good chance to score too which was well blocked on the line. Could easily have had a double digit haul.
