Interesting looking at the home and away stats for Bournemouth (and SHU, because lets face it that's where the main attraction of TC lies).

BOU are averaging a goal a game at home this season and actually sit 17th in the table on home performance. Only 5 of Solanke's 13 have come at home - none since Fulham on Boxing Day (although admittedly Liverpool and City are amongst the visitors to the Vitality since then).

Whilst SHU have been smashed three times recently, all of these came at home and they don't tend to be smashed quite so badly when on the road - they haven't lost by more than 2 on the road since 5-0 vs Burnley in December and only once conceded more than 3 in the six away games since.

Solanke will probably outscore Haaland's GW25, but I wonder if the "obvious" decision isn't as obvious as is being made out...

Ha, not saying its wrong - I may still hit for Dom and lock him in as Captain (used TC myself).

I am merely saying that, depending on how you cut and carve the stats, it is not necessarily the clear cut decision that you should use TC on him.

How does folks see Bournemouth defence in the upcoming double?

For xGC/A overall this season, they are ranked 11th (under performing). For home games, the are ranked 8th.

Bournemouth defence have limited attacking upside so primarily picking them for CS.

They have kept 6 CS from 26 games played so far this season.

SHU and LUT are ranked 20th and 17th respectively for xG away fixtures this season.

Fair. Kerkez was just marginally behind Neto in the BPS, but probably wouldn't expect defenders to get any in the SHU game (without an attacking return) if they score a few

There's been a lot of people asking about Morris > Haaland, but there's been no proper conversation on it.

    So here's your opportunity.

For me I bought Haaland at 14m so will lose money getting him back in GW30 (probably WC 30 or 31) but not too much.
I can't ditch Solanke or Watkins
Morris is on form, by far the best option at Luton and versus opposition that is the easiest run of 3 games they'll get all season.
    I'm not FH'ing in GW29 either.

So Haaland > Morris for a FT seems worth the risk.

Keen to hear others thinking around moving a major player out for a DGW and BGW player from a bottom team.

3 games for Morris vs 1 for Haaland given that (one FA Cup game aside), Haaland hasn't been at his usual best probably seems worth it on paper. Whether its a hit or not does come into it, plus I am not sure if the Liverpool game will be as cagey as expected.

    3. Help Me!
      • 9 Years

I'm in the same boat, team below.
I think Morris outscores Haaland in coming 3 GWs even with -4.
Haaland can go crazy in any game, but this is probably the best risk against him, especially if chasing in MLs.

    4. ViperStripes
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Haaland is averaging 6.9pts per game (or 7.2 if you remove is 19minute 1pt return from injury match)
Morris is averaging 4.2pts per game, so over 3 games that's 12.6pts before accounting for his recent form

So just on average points it's a 4.7pt swing in favour of Morris (or 0.7 if you take a hit)

    Dubravka
    Gabriel - Gusto - Doughty
    Barkley - Bowen - Saka - Son
Solanke (TC) - Haaland (VC) - Watkins

Bench: Raya, Walker, Andreas, Estupiñan (£0.5 ITB, 1 FT)

I'm thinking of getting Morris for Haaland, having 8/9 players for GW29, and WC in GW30/31.
I could use FH29, but I think those extra 2/3 players aren't going to add much value. How does it sound? Open to suggestions

im looking for some long term tips for the last 10 weeks of the season. I've had a terrible season but crawled my way from 3M in gameweek 13 to 370k. im 51 points from 100k, dont have son, bowen or gordon right now, is any one of them worth a hit this week or week 30? (im freehitting 29) how important is salah when he returns?

wow fair play on those gains - can see from your reply to me above we're in a similar predicament.

I'm leaning towards the Bowen move simply for the immediate BUR fixture... NEW have a few decent fixtures post-blank plus 2 are at home so Gordon is high on my radar (im also FH29).

Now owning Son could begin to hurt though so not sure whether to do Bowen, and then Son in 30.... Will have Son from 29 effectively, will be in my FH team and look to bring him in permanently

    2. Mother Farke
      • 1 Year

Regarding hits for either of those three, Son has proven he can be explosive, even in the reverse fixture v Villa he "scored" an offside hat-trick. Bowen scored a hat-trick in his last home game as you're probably aware of already. Gordon, I'm not entirely convinced on, especially away from home.

thanks for the tips guys, i will probably take a hit for bowen or son, i just have to figure out who.. Want to make sure i can get salah in for week 30 also, but then ofc have some plan for the gameweek 34 doubles.

Tituss is probably right on bowen for the bur fixture, and then son from 29 and forward.

        Thx guys!

If Solanke was 100% fit, it would be him given the opposition.
Sheffield being the 1st game helps his cause.

What do you think to this plan guys? No FH29
    Flekken Areola
    Saliba Gabriel Estu Doughty Gusto
    KDB Foden Saka Luiz Palmer
    Haaland Watkins Toney

28 - Foden, KDB, Haaland to Barkley, Bowen, Morris (-4) 2 doublers
29 - Estu, Saka to Porro, Son (-4) 10 starters
30 - Bowen, Morris to Salah, Haaland (-4)
    31 - WC?

You're banking on Liverpool Vs City being a cagey affair but I'm sure I read here that Liverpool's defensive stats suggest it could be quite an open game.

Probably wouldn't hit for Haaland the week before a WC.

That aside -8 to get to where most FH will be I think is worth it

        Good points, thanks.
The problem is, there is no one else I really want to lose!
The other alternative is something like:
28 - Estu, KDB, Toney - Zabarnyi, Son, Solanke (-4)
        29 - FH
        30 - Saliba, Saka - Udogie, Salah (-4)

As I said, I don't think -8 to avoid the FH is a bad move - I would perhaps look to do your first lot but keep Foden and maybe Haaland unless you feel punty. But if you are comfortable losing Haaland for Liverpool, surely you would happily lose him vs Arsenal and then just WC back in 31 for free?

            Fair. So,
            28: KDB to Bowen
29: Saka, Foden, Haaland to Son, Madison, Morris (-4)
            30: Bowen to Salah

Morris not a bad shout for captaincy this week at all.

Egypt risking his fitness for a friendly after he got injured on international duty is mental.

Clearly state it is conditional on him being ready, don't see the issue with that. If fit for Liverpool then no reason why he shouldn't be with Egypt

The difference between a top flight title charge vs a friendly I guess, not to mention hefty wages from one side.

That doesn't come into Egypt's thinking imo. As long he is fit and ready to play, he'll get called up.

Interesting to see how Liverpool handle Salah game time before IB as they'll obviously want him to stay at the club.

WC played. Pretty freeing to get rid of a lot of poor decisions over the last few weeks and a shot at upside chasing coming from 1.8m OR. How's this team? 😀

    Neto
    Doughty Gabriel Zabarnyi
    Son Palmer Bowen Saka
    Solanke Morris Watkins

    Areola Romero DLuiz Regulion

    9.3 ITB for GW30 Salah

Pretty good! I’ve done the same move and have 12 put of your 15.

very nice; my WC team is almost identical except currently have Foden over Palmer and Udogie over Romero.

Nice! I might go Foden too, still in two minds honestly.

Plenty of good picks there, but what are your plans to get in City players? I hate having them (Liverpool fan) but don’t think you can go without at least 2 for the run-in

I'm a Liverpool fan too! Foden is in some form so definitely not sure. Still in still in two minds about him vs Palmer, might go Foden but it could make it more difficult for me to get in Salah unless I do a direct swap for Foden or Son or Saka which I'm not sure I can lose. Current plan is Bowen > Salah

Yeah, it’s tricky isn’t It, so many good options. Son will be my route to Mo in a couple of weeks, but can’t see my other key mids (Saka, Palmer, Foden) going anywhere barring injury. Looking forwards to benching Foden for Sarabia this weekend though! 🙂

Risked KDB > Bowen FT before price changes last night. Is anything else worth a hit? Lascelles > Doughty maybe?

    Areola
    Saliba, Gabriel, Estu
    Saka, Foden, Bowen, Palmer
    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke

    (Dubravka, Senesi*, Gordon, Lascelles)
    0 FT, 5.2 ITB

Will FH in GW29, WC soon after.

      The Standard today:

Speaking to reporters before the derby victory, Postecolgou said of Porro: “Pedro is probably another week away."
The influential right-back should be fit for the trip to Villa Park on Sunday.

Saliba or Gabriel to Doughty? It will be for a -4, but I guess it’s a nobrainer as I’m not using FH in 29

Not a no-brainer, no. Arsenal could easily keep Brentford out and Doughty likely to be relying on attacking returns across the 3 games in 28 and 29 - so you would need two just to end up positive on the move.

Not necessarily a bad move, just not a "no-brainer"

    A) Play Palmer (NEW h)
    B) Play Foden (LIV a)

    It's A isn't it?
