This afternoon, we have updated our Pre-Season Guide tab on the home page for Fantasy managers looking for some last-minute research ahead of Saturday’s kick-off:

Included are links to every pre-season game that has taken place, all our Scout Reports and Moving Target articles over the summer and extensive articles on each of the three promoted sides. In addition, we’ve added a brief “Scout Notes” synopsis of the main areas of concern for all 20 teams.

Below, we’ve listed the men in form in front of goal over the summer so far – nice to see Mauro Boselli in there, tempting us all with his pre-season goals once again..

6 – Danny Graham
5 – Mladen Petric and Billy Sharp
4 – Djibril Cisse and Sam Baldock
3 – Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, Steven Naismith, James Vaughan, Bobby Zamora, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Adam Le Fondre, Mauro Boselli

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Thanks guys.. had A for 2 weeks now, but gonna change to Ivanovic and Aguero...

        Have this team atm..

        Federici (Friedel)

        A. Cole - Hangeland - Ivanovic (Demel,Clyne)

        Bale - Mata - Kagawa/Valencia/Nani - Dyer (Kacaniklic)

        Aguero - Tevez - Graham

Maybe i should have kagawa and change dyer with taarabt?

And have 0,5 in the bank so i can do the Aguero to torres transfer in gameweek 2..

        Looking okey?

The great "coverage" conundrum... if I don't get any player above 9.5 I could have strong attacking coverage from City, United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea (Tevez, Valencia, Podolski, Bale, and Mata) but that leaves me with no certain captain choices.

      It's doable.

      I'm on:

      Tevez, Rooney, Bale, Torres, Cazorla.

      All captaincy worthy to me.

Is Zabaleta's only competition Richards? So he should be safe for at least a month? The 0.5 of saving vs Lescott could be very useful.

Toure too if City play 3-5-2. Milner looks set to play as a wing back so he'll be fighting with Toure and Richards in that formation.

Dangit. (nearly last comment of last post):

With my previous Q of VdV/Zaba and Mata/Gibbs, i forgot to mention that I also have Bale. Also, my D other than those two possibilities is:

    Fried – Schwarz
    Verm – Evra – Agger – Saylor

(for the record, pricing is different, so disregard that)

So, VdV / Zaba doubles Spurs mids for me, but gets me into ManC D (kinda), while Mata/Gibbs doubles me in Ars defense (maybe not good?) and I don’t have a pen-taker in VdV.

Not sure Cerny will play and your defence is unlikely to get you much.

Far better defensive options imo JTOK, even at the prices.

RVP to united signifies the end of the top flight 'ever present' team stars. Rooney and RVP will rotate, and when sharing the pitch with share free kicks and penalties. All this "and 2m for Rooney gameweek2". Get ready for him to play 70mins a week and get rested before each champions league outing.

Yeah they will share points but don't think they would rotate. Surely both of them have to play otherwise whats the use of buying RVP?

I think they will share some pitch time, probably with Rooney moving wide but I see the purchase of RVP as the end of Rooneys dominance at united. RVPs last season was an anomaly , in terms of the amount of time he managed. I see him as much more of a 25 starts a season guy, maximum and I'd imagine a huge part of his appeal is his ability to play at a level to make a difference in the champions league and the very top teams in the prem. Perhaps rooney is better for sweeping aside your wigans and southamptons nowadays

Top teams now MUST rotate to compete in all competitions. It is outside the top 4 that you will see top players getting 34+ games a season.

Rvp & roo wont rotate. Rvp wil jst replace welbeck. Them 2 up front would be incredible. United could jus field 3 players (+vidic) & smash the leauge!

Guthrie is a decent benchwarmer IMO. The rest is a bit gross.

Play Gunter for the DGW and do something about your keepers.

Henderson is what's wrong. Hart is a doubt if I'm not wrong and you really don't wanna be fecked come GW 1. You already have City defence, if you're really intent on doubling up, then stick.

Not that most people care from a Fantasy Football POV but here:

"Henríquez was spotted outside Bridgewater Hospital after completing a medical for his move to Manchester United. Henríquez completed his move to Manchester United F.C on 14 August after the club took advantage of their agreement with Universidad de Chile which allowed them first option to sign him until 2014 for a fee of around £4million."
