    A - Isak and Eze
    B - Havertz and Gordon

    Thanx

I believe you have a tie there.
I believe A will score nearly the same as B
      Little advantage
For me I like Isak and figure (if) there is a player out of the (4) you have there who could just crush it will be him.
      So..A for me

      A) I'd feel comfortable captaining Isak but, don't think I'd want to give the armband to anyone else.

If you feel differently then I don't think there's enough of a difference in these pairs to worry about.

All will be too defensive from GW1 but looks like Iroegbunam (Eve) may start as Gueye/Garner both doubts - and has impressed in last few preseason. (But don’t quote me…)

i'm currently have Cozier-Duberry as my 4.5 bench mid, he's a talented ex Arsenal youngster, who they wanted to keep, but his pathway into the first team was blocked by Saka and others, he obviously thinks Brighton will be will give him more of a chance, but even there he won't be starting to begin with, but expect a lot of sub appearances where he'll be a threat coming on, as he showed with 2 goals in a pre season game already

    Alisson
    Saliba/Porro/Gvardiol
    Eze/Salah/Son/Odegaard
    Muniz/Wood/Isak

    Turner/Nkunku/Bellis/Faes

Wanted TAA but figured Allison covers pretty well.
Struggling with strikers as most seem to be.
Haaland not an option for me as I'm not good enough have a single player take that much of the budget.

    Thoughts?

    1. El_Matador
      • 14 Years

Nkunku is a lot of £ to have on the bench. Can you switch to Winks, then Alisson to Raya and Muniz to Watkins?

      1. El_Matador
        • 14 Years

...And Saliba to VVD, so you still have Arsenal and Liverpool covered.

Quite liking this lineup so far. Lowered value in defence as will rotate 4.5s and play the fixtures. I don't see Bowen in too many teams, he's a reliable source of points IMO. I feel the front three pick themselves.

    Pickford | 4.0
    Konsa | Myko | Andersen |Robinson | Faes
    Saka | Eze | Bowen | Gordon | Winks
    Watkins | Haaland | Isak

I love the Bowen pick as he always does well for me.
I'm still looking to get him in.
      Strikers are amazing!

My only concern is that the midfield could easily have a poor week putting it all on front 3 to pull ya through.
for me needs a little Salah seasoning

Not a fan of this middling price thing in midfield. I'd want Son or Haaland in there.

It's too balanced for me if you catch my drift. There is more than likely gonna be a rocket budget option (think 5.5m mid like Minteh, Rogers, CHO) and a hat-trick potential premium (Son, Saka, Foden) and I want to roll the dice and try to hit them and if I miss, I at least have the price points to pivot to the actual one.

I think he can get at least 15 goals over the season and beat all of the above for assists with his link-up play, I've already got Isak but I fancy Havertz to outscore the others bar Haaland

Agree. I still like Havertz. But those opening fixtures are not that appetizing. I'm looking for money to push into midfield and Havertz > Wood/Muniz looks a reasonable sacrifice to make.

I still think he'll feature in my side maybe as early as GW6 WC.

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but... Haaland & Bobb

Probably covering with a huge sofa to hide behind.

      I have Haaland and Bobb
Reckon is worth a punt for a few weeks

Same - differential until the Community Shield. After that I feel he'll become very popular

It's one match in one of 38 game weeks. It isn't a big deal.

I don't believe in coverage. Will be Haaland or no City attack for me.

IMO not playing the spear head of team who have a team set up for him. After he is well rested with a nice run of attacking fixtures is madness IMO. Haaland could be 15.5m by gw5

Salah on the other hand will be more a creator this season I think, I think it is a question of getting the Liverpool man who will be on the left flank/or as 9 whoever Slot favours.

Thoughts and comments please, GW1 I'm going with Salah and Haaland, mainly as it's easier to downgrade if need be.

    Raya
    Mun̈oz Pedro Trent
    Salah Johnson CHO Nkunku
    Muniz Haaland Isak

    Ward Winks Johnson Barco

Cheers, I feel it's easier to downgrade salah to Saka or Haaland to Watkins etc.
I feel this considering who I have is about as good as I can get it.
        Appreciate the comments

Downgrading both isn't that easy. It takes basically 4 transfers to use that money also.

I prefer a 6.5-7.5m mid over cho while downgrading raya as first 5 games are quite tough, porro fun pick but I think hes a trap personally

With the ability to save subs up I'm looking at a team for the first 4 weeks and then will start making changes. With this in mind, looking at those initial fixtures only, my starting team is looking like

    Pickford
Saliba - Burn - Van de ven
    Salah - Eze - Guimares - Hudson-Odoi
    Haaland - Isak - Solanke

Subs: Virginia - Winks - Andersen - Mylo

Any thoughts on this team and also on just picking a team for the first 4 weeks??

you will be too far behind after 4 weeks unless you pick the perfect 13/14 players.

I'm looking at Elliott as a punt at 5.5m...

    Who's competing for the same spot(s) ?

szoboszlai the main competition, both could start together as well, maybe gakpo if hes not played on the left

I've been banging on about Philogene, he's direct competition for Rogers at LW, wouldn't go there myself but he could be golden, who knows

He's not nailed at all. That's the beauty of this game.

PS. i have him, he's not on my bench either

What's the best 2 4.5s rotation with Gvardiol, Trent and Barco?

    RMT

    Flekken
    Saliba Porro Munoz
    Palmer Gordon Eze MGW
    Haaland Isak Muniz

    Turner, CHO, Myko, Faes

I've been on Porro last few weeks. Great attacker but meh defence. Loving the fact that you do have 1 playable asset on bench. You've chosen to go Palmer route over Salah. May I ask why, considering your avatar.

Can’t see how he’s not straight in if fit enough. It’s been his big struggle. Assuming he’s fit could see him being an absolute bargain.

can’t see much rotation. Played a lot of minutes last season and was arguably their best defender

If Solanke moves, Semenyo 5.5m mid could be tasty.

Should give him more goal opportunities, depends on who they might sign though.

    Flekken
    Saliba / Andersen / Hall
    Mo / Palmer / ESR / Minteh
    Haaland / Watkins / Muniz

    Valdimarsson / Iroegbunam / Faes / Barco

Nothing to play with. Risky zero’d bench but think there be goals.
