Gameweek 1 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) continues this afternoon when Crystal Palace make the short trip to Brentford.

Thomas Frank’s side are looking for improvement following their 16th-placed finish last time out, while Palace will be hoping they can continue their streak of seven consecutive games without defeat, dating back to April.

Kick-off is at 14:00 BST.

As for the team news, Jean-Philippe Mateta starts up front for the visitors, despite limiting training with his teammates after featuring for France at the Olympics.

Centre-back Marc Guehi also starts amid interest from Newcastle United.

New arrival Daichi Kamada takes up the Michael Olise role next to Eberechi Eze, with fellow new signings Chadi Riad and Ismaila Sarr on the bench.

There’s no Ivan Toney in Brentford’s squad.

“A lot of things going on with Ivan [Toney], especially with transfers, there’s a lot of transfer interest. Because of all that, we’ve decided not to include him in the squad.
“I can’t give too much away the day before. Of course, Ivan is a top player, we all know that. He has been fantastic for us for four years but we showed last season we can cope without him.” – Thomas Frank

Bryan Mbeumo, Kevin Schade and Yoane Wissa, who started the last few friendlies together, instead lead the Brentford attack.

I was thinking of Savio after the injury to Bobb. Can see him doing great but Pep will rotate him unfortunately. Also a + for Haaland with him on the side as he tends to cross a lot.

Robbed. Palace not great, even game. But this is they are both tired teams. palace probably would be 2 up had the free kick stood and Brentford wouldn't have come back from that. We were so on top at that stage (and another goal scored just after Eze legs were dragged down. Problem doesn't scream load enough as Brentford score again just after that
No doubt in my mind. again as Brentford scored with their first real chance and 75 minutes on the starters were knackered on both sides. Warm afternoon.. Anyway back home to Devin

        You have taught a bit of a knob. I think Eze had Hazx pointed out
        I had exe instead of mbeumo and exactly the same thing happened. Not Kamada Sarr, we are after another 10. Eze release clause ram out on Friday at 5pm. We can't replace Olise who in my opinion would be in the top 50 players already. Just injured. Keep patient with Eze and I had Munoz over Hendon. Worth the extra 0.5

Can we have some group therapy for all Quansah & Barco owners.
I blame myself for Quansah, I knew it was a risk and I knew the clock was ticking before he lost his place - but never in my wildest dreams did I expect 45mins.
But I blame Brighton fans on the internet (the likes of AZ & Joe among them) who convinced me that Barco was gonna be the next Lundstram 😉

  I really hope Barco was dropped because of Everton hoofing and physicality. He may play at home especially. I went Pedro too instead of Solanke to upgrade to Raya and Munoz in defence. We will see if it works out as Pedro rotated well with ESR

  Don't own Barco but think the negativity is an overreaction.
  He costs 4.0m and is the cheapest defender available in the game.
  You can only field 11 players anyway, and his low price allows enablement of more expensive assets.

      Keepers are long term keep as they tend to get cleansheet in between themselves. That is why i rather stick with one keeper rather than 2 playing ones and rotate in betweek gw's.

  I wouldn't be surprised with Henderson injury record that Sam J goes to Forest or Wolves as his wife's family is from Manchester and it always comes from her, I think when he doesn't play, and I would like to see Palace go for Ramsdale. I cannot see Sam J going to Leicester, but Southampton are interested too. But his wifey wants the North lol
