It's sensible, but it's so tempting every week to try and be "too clever" and move it.

Ill be captaining Vardy this week

Honestly, love that. The glorious high of the 1/100 when you get it right is worth the other 99. I think. Maybe.

Édouard is fully expected to start on the bench.
Cooper has shown he's hesitant to start new signings, typically waiting a couple or so weeks for them to settle.
I've no doubt Vardy starts, though expect he'll be subbed off for Ed around 70

Just captain Salah. If it doesn't work out then you can add Hibbo to your list of someone to blame for your FPL team.

Considering a very spontaneous WC to this lot (no Haaland currently). Too punty?

    Sanchez / 4.0
    Gabriel / Konate / L. Davis / Aina / 4.0
    Salah / Saka / Eze / Kudus / Carvalho
    Haaland / Calvert-Lewin / JPedro

    1. Shark Team

The team is good but you need more info on Carvalho for example, he might not be a starter and you need and 8th attacker

Guys in a bit of a pickle (team currently set up as below). Have 1 FT (0.4m in bank) and wildcarding GW6. Was thinking Gvardiol to Robertson or do you think it's better to roll the transfer? Alternatively could transfer out Isak if confirmed out. Any opinions appreciated.

    Henderson
    Konsa Dunk Gvardiol
    Jota Salah Minteh Eze Hudson-Odoi
    Haaland Isak

    4m Robinson Johnson Muniz

I think at 5.9 you have to know what to expect, Rogers was trap, Minteh who I own from gw1 was a trap, even Eze has underperformed. If DCL averages 4ppg in his good fixture run then I’d be very happy as an owner

Everton striker in a Dyche team 😐 I’ve got him but not expecting the world. Don’t really buy the injury arguments either, deal with it if and when it arises (we have biscuit legs Wilson as an example in recent years).

He looked good against Villa's high line. Not sure he'll face teams like that in his upcoming fixtures. I have doubts about him being prolific. He had a decent amount of starts last season, so it's not like whenever he is fit he scores. I guess he's a budget striker for a reason.

Sels looks very, very ropey to me, but has a decent defence and fix in front of him. Poor keepers do tend to struggle in FPL, but he may be the exception given other factors

Verbruggen's fix looks terrible and I think he'll need CSs for bonus

Muric could be worth a look at that price?

If I do Wissa > DCL/VardyNketiah I will be forced to bench one of Havertz @ City, ESR (h) to Newcastle or Rogers (h) to Wolves.

Should I get a new striker in and bench one of the above or roll the transfer > 3FT?

Is Wissa price protected for now anyway?

    1. Ser Davos
      • 10 Years

Is Wood worth consideration? Wissa's injury has caused a headache.

I'd bench Rogers and just accept if he does well he's in FPL limbo: too good for perma bench, but not good enough to be relied upon as the seventh attacker. I think it's better he scores on our bench than blanks in our team. I came to the same Bailey conclusion at 5.0m two years ago

That’s well put, you won’t be as upset with a Rogers 5-7 benching than a weekly, starting 2 point return.

Wood is a decent pick but I don’t like Brighton away this week.

    Please note the following:

Gw6 wildcarders (including me) - please do your main transfers FIRST, and THEN press the wildcard.

You would not lose points, but the transfers done pre-pressing wildcard DO AFFECT price changes. Make it harder for the rest!

I'm surprised with the confidence in Salah.

Since Covid he has only scored one goal against Bournemouth which was a rebound after he missed the penalty. Otherwise, he even blanked in this 9:0 demolition and his last big haul in the H2H with Bournemouth goes back to 2018.

On top, Bournemouth is much stronger this season, unbeaten on the road so far and good defence. Liverpool looked not thatvstrong in their first two home games this season, much better in away games though.

From the statistics, I would captain Gakpo or maybe even Darwin Nunez. Salah is a bit of a gamble (statistically), and I wouldn't be surprised if there was some unexpected rotation with Chiesa starting soon.

Best option is maybe to stick to Haaland or go with Rogers based on numbers and gut feeling.
