    1M ITB, on a WC
    Raya, Fab
    Konate, Konsa, Greaves, Faes, VDB
    Salah, Saka, Mbeumo, Rogers, Dibling
    Haaland, Jackson, Wood

    Do I switch
    A) Jackson > Havertz?
    And
    B) Wood, Dibling > to Semenyo, Jimenez OR
    C) Leave Attack as is and upgrade VDB to Colwill/Aina

I would definitely spend that in DEF. Matter of fact, I would turn 2 of your 4.0/4.1 DEF's into 4.5's. That defense is pretty weak on a WC, I understand why but I think you need the 4.5 rotations.

Yo guys! I need help. I have confirmed my 2 free transfers and another one for a -4 hit. (3 transfers in total). I want to activate my wildcard, so that I can have some more transfers this gameweek. I struggle with understanding how the new rules will affect this. Do you know if I will then get my 2 free transfers back (as if I never confirmed them), and can therefore roll them, as suggested my the new rules. Or are they gone, and I will not get them back if I activate my wildcard now. I need to be 100% certain before activating it. Taking a hit would not be too bad, but I would prefer a wildcard this week. But I would not want to use my wildcard if I would not get my free transfers back.

copy and pasted from the hot topic Skonto wrote...

As of this season, you will keep your banked transfers even after playing a chip.

So, Fantasy managers could now save four free transfers, Wildcard, then get those four banked transfers back to use in the following Gameweek.

You don’t get an extra free transfer in the week you Wildcard, however.

So, if you had two free unused transfers saved after the Gameweek 5 deadline and Wildcard in Gameweek 6, you would have three transfers to use in Gameweek 7 (two saved and the weekly allotted transfer for Gameweek 7).

Any season if you play WC it removes points hit that week. People sometimes rack up -40 or more then pull WC before deadline

I know that points deducted will be gone, but I am concerned about the potential loss of the rolling free transfers, as the rules regarding the activation of the WC after confirmed transfers in a GW are not clearly stated for me.

"Please note that when playing either a Wildcard or your Free Hit chip, any saved free transfers are maintained for the following Gameweek. If you had 2 saved free transfers, you will still have 2 saved free transfers the Gameweek after playing the chip."

This is where one might interpret "any saved free transfers" either as "any free transfers held at the beginning of the GW" or "any free transfers held at the time of WC activation".

No idea how you are interpreting the latter if you correctly understand how free transfers work

Haha you can't say that that's not one possible interpretation. I just wanted to make entirely sure. The rolling of free transfers while using WC is an entirely new rule, and who knows how devious the developers could be. I didn't want to take that chance. But I have activated it now. 😉

Biggest Dilemma is to go with Salah or without Salah?

If I go without Salah it does open the doors to options like Diaz, Saka, Mbeumo and TAA in my team

are you all sticking with Salah or not?

I have the same dilemma. I have had Salah since GW1, and therefore have some value invested in him. I also am uneager to sell Smith-Rowe and Rogers for this reason too. So idk, probably best to sell. But it is not obvious to me.

A & B at the moment. Haaland is can't miss, Salah is just a tad too expensive and so is Palmer. I know Palmer is elite but his draw is too tough to hang onto.

I feel differently than most about selling Isak. City have scored 6 but conceded 5 in their last two PL visits to Newcastle. If Tonali returns to join Bruno and Joelinton their midfielder is physically superior considering Rodri is out for City. Barnes, Isak and Gordon will be dangerous on the counter. Newcastle have not looked good but I haven’t been able to understand why. Am I over thinking this?

You're overthinking. Newcastle have been poor and City are a good side. They may still concede but there are far better options that Isak for 8.5m.

Past visits irrelevant. They scored 10 against Spurs previous 2 seasons at SJP. They're not very good right now

I prefer the flexibility of the cheap striker (vardy, wood, Welbeck, Pedro, etc) slot and the extra money in midfield (Eze, Bowen, Jota, Gordon, Maddison)

I think that 3m goes a long way in the rest of the squad. I like rogers it fixture congestion and tougher games are coming. Buendia started and scored today, he may challenge for that role soon

I’ve seen a lot of Solanke over the years and I’m not sure spuds is a good fit for him. Likes the ball at his feet, but they want him to be the finisher. I know he’s big, but that’s not really his game…. Well see, I like Maddison pulling the strings with all the weapons at his disposal

Misses quite a few sitters as well.. Decent mid level PL player, but 9m and all the hype is not warranted at all. Not winning the golden boot. Not getting top four again. Not gonna stop missing easy chances.

Not even the best striker on his team.

His per 90s were worse than Haaland, Saka, Salah, Palmer, Foden, KDB, Olise, Mateta, Isak, Son, Mateta, Richarlison, Troussard, Jota, etc

Better than Wood and Bailey though!

yeah except he plays lots of minutes - 19 goals and 18 assists last year.

                      Saka 16:12
                      Salah 18:12
                      Palmer 22:13
                      Foden 19:8
                      KdB 4:10
                      Isak 21:4
                      Son 17:10

With the exception of Isak, Watkins is cheaper than all of them and outperformed them.

Your entire argument depends on him having fewer minutes and even then it won't make him bad value.

Watkins has the best xG per 90mins this season with 1.13, above Haaland with 1.07 (minimum 270 minutes played). Solanke is third (0.94) ahead of Wissa (0.91), Diaz (0.8) and Jackson (0.79).

I still think keeping Porro is worth the -4.. I have Trent and Flekken. RMT says the hit gets repaid in 4 weeks.

    A) Porro to Gabriel
    B) Munoz and Hendo to Gabriel & 4.0 (-4)

I guess the only other consideration is the .6 that would be left over itb if I kept Munoz and the other .5 I could harvest by selling Hendo later vs not having any funds…

Saka has had Villa, Spurs and City away. And Brighton for 45’mins with 10 men. I don’t get this not hauling comparison. Salah has just had Forest and Bournemouth at home. Having said that, I really fancy Salah at Wolves this weekend to haul. But Saka could also easily out score him still.

Saka often struggles to get double digit returns unlike Salah so he isn’t even a good captain choice compared to Salah, Haaland, Palmer.

Saka is a good pick but there was a game last season. Arsenal spanked Sheffield utd at the emirates 5 nil. Saka only got a fluke fantasy assist from the game.

Not sure if Ødegaard’s injury would have a negative impact on things but we will see.

Yeah, it doesn't say that though, does it.

Why do what everyone else is doing when they are chasing you?

My team is loaded up with penalty takers. I think only City have actually had a penalty from the usual ‘top 10’ teams? We also still don’t know if Watkins or Tielmans take Villas now?

Wasn't Watkins awful at them a few season's back and was eventually stripped of that duty?

Long term; would you rather have :

    A) Salah & Eze
    or

    B) Saka & Foden

      B. I want a good amount of minutes for Foden this week so GW 7 for him isn’t as risky as it appears now.

Hey, please RMT WC. How's it looking?

    Ederson Turner
    Trent Saliba Gabriel Keane/Faes Greaves
    Diaz Saka Mbeumo Roger Winks
    Halaand Solanke DCL

I can still play around with:
    Trent + DCL > Watkins + Konsa/4.5

    Current WC draft. RMT!

    Sanchez Fabianski
    TAA Lewis Gabriel Faes Greaves
    Mbuemo Diaz Rogers Semenyo Eze
    Havertz Jackson Haaland

I have 1.8 ITB right now. Main dilemmas
    1) Keep Eze or replace for Palmer and downgrade Jackson to Ndiaye?
    2) Sanchez or Raya

Horrible? He only has another attacker
It’s a good structure that helps saving FT

You have 3 problems as I see it: No premium mid, no decent rotation 4th DEF, and only 1 GK on a team that isn't defensively premium. I don't think that 1.8 fixes all 3.
