Semenyo > Mcneil, costs you points probably the next 2, but saves you a future trade and gets you there.

    1) Is Salah really needed?
    2) Lack of 'good' subs

    Raya // Flekken
Robbo Gabriel Mazraoui // Greaves VdB
    Salah Saka ESR Mbeumo Semenyo
    Haaland DCL // Stewart

I don't think Salah is needed. He currently looks off form and he being outdone by Diaz. That could all change of course.

Take out Salah and see how your draft looks.

Salah could become near enough differential if all these WC drafts I'm seeing on here and Youtube are anything to go off. Crazy how the narrative shifts so quick in FPL from Diaz not supposed to start a few weeks ago to him being the one now. I'm looking at the mins and Diaz's form in previous seasons and I don't see this lasting long term but I do get idea around not captaining Salah making him less effective at the price. Question is at what price would you put the likes of Saka, Palmer etc in the same bracket. These aren't sub 8m or whatever Saka was last year assets now. They also hurt your budget.

Did you watch the games vs Bournemouth and Forest? He should have had a massive haul with the chances he had be Bouremouth but hit shots straight at GK or made bad decisions. Owners were lucky to even get an assist.

From the way things are looking, Salah might really become a differential, which is amazing. Agree that Diaz's output is likely to need unsustainable that's why I have leaning towards keeping Salah in my draft. I don't think Palmer is worth it at his price, and probably will have to go with Havertz to cover for Saka while spreading the funds more evenly. Thanks mate!

I’m just winding you up. I think you’re right these are two of the better ones. Still don’t think there’s many points though. If I were wildcarding I’d probably go 5/4 over 4.5/4.5 thinking a Konate or De Ligt likely to out score the rotation options. Or just play Davis every week on the hope of attacking returns.

    Chelsea's next 6 fixtures:

    BHA (H)
    NFO (H)
    LIV (A)
    NEW (H)
    MUN (A)
    ARS (H)

Out of Newcastle that's probably 5 of the top 6 defences over that run based on this season.

What are fantasy managers expecting from Jackson and Palmer over that run? Would you be happy with 3-4 attacking returns each?

As we don't have any standout 4.5 def options, Lewis worth a gamble?

    1. vova
      • 15 Years
      1 year, 2 months ago

I'm tempted myself (on a WC) but a couple of things are keeping me off atm:

      1) Minutes - would reckon he can sometimes get subbed off/subbed on/rotated due to CL (even with Rodri's injury)
      2) Attacking returns - if minutes aren't nailed on, it would be nice to have high potential for attacking returns but I'm not sure Lewis is able to provide it

Overall, I think Lewis is a tempting way into City's defence but could also end up with a bunch of 1/2 pointers (even in favourable games). Not like City's defence has looked great either.

I'd be looking at some of the 4.0 up to 4.5 options instead of the 4.5s and up. I don't think theres much in it on goals conceded and cleans. If Southampton can stop being silly with the ball at the back I don't think any of the promoted sides look that bad defensively. Certainly not the levels seen last year. Obvious caveat being the limited data so far but from memory it was pretty obvious who was bad last year from an early stage.

    Morning all,

Diaz in for Jota done and holding off on the wildcard as still a few big decisions I'm not sure on before I pull the trigger.

    a) is Salah needed or can Diaz cover him expecially if perma captaining Haaland?

    b) Currently have Watkins, Haaland and Pedro. Solanke, Jackson, Woods all options but what's the best 3? Watkins has a good fixture so this.cqn wait
    c) Do I need Raya or can I go with Sanchez or Flecken?
    d) Toms of good Midfield options and would like another week to weigh up. Maddison, Foden, Son , Palmer and then the cheapos

Feels like right for me to wait a week? what's everyone else's thoughts on went to play the 1st WC?

Cover Salah? No, attacking cover doesn't work & you can never be as comfortable captaining Diaz with the rotation risk w/Gakpo. But he just looks awesome in this system & I do think he'll pick up a lot more returns than under Klopp.

Is trent must for your WC team?

I would say few players are a must: Saka, Mbeumo and ErlingHauland.

      Rest is to be debated.

fpl mystery injury to an arsenal player,if it is raya long term ,then neto at 4.3 is going to give w/cs an advantage an extra 1 2m to spend

If it is Raya, we will know tonight as Neto is cup tied.

So if they aren't playing Raya, its VERY likely hes the player injured. Setford has not been fit enough to train half the time lately, and their next keeper is 16.

Neto would significantly weaken that backline imo. A lot of the defensive improvement came for signing Raya and I'd put Neto below Ramsdale as a keeper. Cruel irony for Arsenal and Ramsdale if hes joined a relegation candidate for first team football just as this happens.

I would say though that Neto at 4.3 is a much better entry than the rest of the backline at 6...

    Playing around with my WC:

    Raya Fabianski
    TAA Gabriel Aina Collins Greaves
    Saka Mbeumo ESR Semenyo Rogers
    Haaland Solanke Wood

    2.6 ITB

    What do you guys think?

    Flekken/Bentley
    Gabriel TAA Lewis Mazraoui Greaves
    Saka Mbuemo Diaz McNeil Semenyo
    Solanke Haaland Wood

    Thoughts on this WC??
Could do TAA & Flekken to Robertson & Raya

Robertson is a bad pick, he is never going to be close to Trent and I think he is overpriced even at 6.0.

It’s the equivalent of choosing Timber/Calafiori over Gabriel, you convince yourself it’s the next best thing but in reality the points gap will be huge.

Keep DCL as first sub here?

    Raya

    TAA Mazraoui Digne

    Saka Palmer ESR Semenyo Rogers

    Haaland(c) Havertz

    4.0 DCL Lewis Veltman
