No other keeper is worth a hit, so I would just keep and hope it is a single game he's missing for.

This is why I don’t like buying a premium keeper, because you usually end up getting a cheap non playing keeper from a different team. So, now, if your premium keeper is crocked you have no keeper and have to spend a transfer on him be it go without until he returns if it’s a short term absence.

It’s also why I prefer a cheaper keeper and his back up. Means you always have a keeper you can play.

What's wrong with eating a 0 if he's out? Just pretend he conceded 2 cheap goals and got a yellow card with no saves.

If we know it's only 1 game I'd just eat the 0. I still am in favor of having a 4.0 non-playing GK. If it's a longer term injury just use a transfer. That extra 0.5m does so little for you in that position compared to elsewhere in the team. An upgrade of a 4.5m mid > Rogers or a 4.0 > 4.5m defender is a much better use of the funds.

Diaz | McNeil | Saka | Mbuemo (Rogers)
    Jackson | Wood | Haaland

Really nice, perhaps a few possible improvements?

      1) Get rid of Henderson either for a non-playing 4.0 GK or a better option like Sanchez / Sels.
      2) Consider Greaves over Faes.
      3) Consider Semenyo over McNeil.

I'd go Ndiaye over Wood and pick ESR in the MF over McNeill. Everytihng Everton do that looked great includes Ndiaye. McNeill has picked up the points but it's clear which is the class — as he takes more of his chances, and more of his assists get nailed he's going to be gold.

It's a cost thing. Ndiaye will score a good few this season — but his current value offers .6 over Wood at the mo — which allows a DF/GK upgrade.

The stats don't agree with any of these posts about Ndiaye's potential - his Xgi in his 3 starts is 0.27, 0.01 and 0.3 with an Xgi/90 of 0.19. Which is shocking for an attacking player. By comparison, budget Southampton defender, Yukinari has an Xgi/90 of 0.25.

This is my latest WC draft, thinking about keeping Salah (despite the fact i already sold him for Saka and will lose money if i buy him back). Thoughts?

    Raya, Fab
    TAA, Gabriel, Lewis, Mazraoui, Greaves
    Salah, Mbeumo, Rogers, Semenyo, Dibling
    Haaland, Havertz, DCL
    0.0 ITB

    Concerns are:
    1) Havertz is not a centreforward anymore, while Odegaard is out
    2) no mid price point in midfield (except for Mbeumo who will stay for the forseeable future). So if i want Diaz, Maddison, Bruno or even upgrade to Palmer, they will be harder to get
    3) No Chelsea, they actually look good

He's been electric this season in a dismal start (to put it lightly). Offers by possibly the best value in the league - as far as Attackers go. His goal last week is just a taster. Looks like the best Everton player by a mile — when ever he's on the ball he looks like putting something together. Could/should have had 2-3 assists in last few games.

Thank you, will look at Ndiaye for sure, maybe his inclusion allows for another upgrade. But not ESR, fixtures aren't great, I prefer Semenyo for the next 2 for sure

Ndiaye this week? Risky double up but Everton have a big goal week coming sooner or later - been missing chances but it's starting to click up front.

Then I'd sell DCL for Wood or Wissa (when back)/Duran (got to start sooner or later)/Cunha (when their fixtures turn)

Not sure using a transfer to replace Raya is a wise call even if he misses this week especially as I think he is a set and forget keeper irrespective of fixtures...even if I was on a WC, I think I would still pick him even if there are doubts this week. Anyone else has the same thinking?

Cheers for your thoughts on Ndiaye. Can I ask what you think of going for Pickford on WC, assuming Branthwaite & Patterson are back? Do you think you'll return to last season's defensive strength, or do the problems run deeper than some Keane errors?

I'm not really a fan your WC defence here tbh, but if you think Palmer & Salah are worth it then go for it

      1. Limbo
        • 15 Years
        1 year, 2 months ago

Yeah. It's the lure of Palmer + Diaz + Salah + Haaland + Jackson.

I'm not seeing many clean sheets in the league (Arsenal aside) so thought I'd go for it — will regret if Gabriel continues to bang them in like...

Pickford too early to say. We have great fixtures for the next 5-6 weeks but Jarrad will take time to come back to form and Dyche is stubborn on RB with Patto never really being favoured (Young starts this week I'd imagine). I do think we'll conceded less though, but CS are a way off. An assured start from Mangala + Gueye back in the side mean we've better CDM cover which should allow front 4 to press higher. I'm not picking any Everton players apart from Ndiaye right now. He's cheap and I think he's so bright he could easily become an good differential (as I've said on a few posts looking for alternatives).

      This week:

      Young / Jarrad / Tark / Myko

Coleman get's minutes, but limited. The big hope is Dixon or Patterson get a long run in the side as we desperately need a settled RB (been a problem position for YEARS). Jarrad played 90 minutes midweek. And has trained for a few weeks with first 11. He has to start.

Keane is a striker and should only ever be played as part of chaos front line with Beto when we have dead balls to help see out games the last few minutes.

Has to be B, the 0.7mchange and the price rise are icing on the cake with a cherry on top.

Very interesting. My last piece in the puzzle for me is Diaz and Havertz vs Eze and Watkins. Which way would you jump?

I used my 2 ft already on Onana to Rogers & JP to Ndaiye. I’ll have to eat the Raya 0 pts.

I am someone who prefers keeper rotation, but I actually like this team. Porro for fixture turn in a couple weeks?

No Palmer or Saka might hurt when they go wild - but it's got good balance as a result.
