Really want Mbeumo, but the sensible thing is to probably save a FT, right?

    Flekken (Fabianski)
TAA Aina RAN (V.D. Berg Greaves)
    Salah Palmer Semenyo Rogers (Buonanotte)
    Haaland Jackson Raul

    2FT & 0.1m

    A) Save FT
    B) TAA & Buonanotte > Hall & Mbeumo.
    C) TAA & Rogers > Mazraoui & Mbeumo

Yeah save 1 more week but up to this point Mbuemo is bordering on an essential and even more so than a number of the big hitters given his price and value.

I'm rolling this week barring any injuries of course. My problem is the WC. GW12 had looked like a good time from afar, but I like my team. Anyone else struggling to find the right time to play it?

You're in a better position than most with your current lot , that said no Salah is a concern.
Look at your preferred Captaincy options over the nex 5 weeks and act accordingly.

GW16 triple Chelsea attack, Newcastle, at a quick glance
Probably worth remembering (I've always ignored this) that using WC doesn't mean having to swap out all 15, you can just use WC to swap out 3 or 4 and be just as effective.

Im opting at this team with 2 FTS in next 2 gws, do you like it?
I know the defence is not worth its value but I prefer getting Palmer and Cunha/Wissa rn instead of doing def transfers.

    Raya
    TAA Gabriel Lewis (VdB)
    Salah Saka Palmer Mbeumo
    Wood Raul Cunha/Wissa

I'd love to have Bruno there for the next 3.

Weeks 12-15 only. Who are your essentials? Set and forget. No transfers allowed during this time.

Other than Villa, can't see a team with 3+ standout fixtures over this period.

Really not sure what to make of Arsenal atm. I've got Saka, but reckon that might be enough.

Jackson on the watchlist for sure. I'm def holding Watkins and Jiminez likely to stay as 1st sub (good cover when Jackson does get that yellow).

Been really impressed with Chelsea in general this season.

Have had Salah, Palmer, Saka all season and won't ever touch those 3 unless injury forces my hand.

Liverpool, Brentford & Brighton from an attacking perspective have good fixtures. You could possibly add Newcastle to that list

    3. Deulofail

No one essential but some decent pick-outs think would be Saka, Havertz, Mbeumo, Wissa, Watkins, Jackson, Palmer, Welbeck, Cunha, Semenyo, Gabriel.

Personally planning to get Havertz in in GW12, but that could change, along with Palmer, Saka, Jackson and maybe an Arsenal defender. So Arsenal are very much in my preliminary plans for that time. (Coming from someone who normally does badly due to owning too many Arsenal players but is doing very well this season having not owned any Arsenal players yet)

Funny i held Havertz for way too long and dont know whether to get rid for Wissa and get back GW13. All depends on Odegards difference I guess. he been awful. Was going to do it last week but was unsure of Wiss'a minutes and Newcastle/Fulham away was 50/50 anyway

        1. Deulofail
          • 9 Years

If i owned him I think i'd try to justify keeping him based on playing his old team this GW, and then cross my fingers for a few more GWs. I understand wanting to get rid, but maybe only Cunha is a good replacement this week, so may as well hold unless you are sure you want Cunha. I think Wissa is great but their fixtures turn too soon to own alongside Mbeumo and then you're using 2 FTs on Wissa and maybe one on Mbeumo (to Bowen?) at the same time.

    Thoughts on Bruno & Garnacho/McNeil for Diaz & Martinelli…

    1. Deulofail
      • 9 Years
      1 year, 1 month ago

Martinelli couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo. He is possibly a worse finisher than Jesus. Yes, I know. Really. And when Odegaard is back (soonish), he'll be competing with Trossard again.

      1. iFash@FPL

So who would you replace him with?

      2. Deulofail
        • 9 Years
        1 year, 1 month ago

I see now that perhaps you are hoping to sell Martinelli, and as such, you are probably aware of Martinelli's wet feet. I wouldn't get Fernandes at this early stage, personally. He scored one goal this season and it was a penalty, United's only penalty this season. Garnacho is cheaper so the risk is lower, but I think you can probably do better than both. If I had to chose now, I would go for McNeil and Garnacho to leave yourself money to be flexible when you are unsatisfied with the result!

Slot on Konate: "He's available to play. There is no issue for him. He's in a good place."

      6,2m without the ballon d'or?

      Good luck to his owners!

Any help much appreciated… 4FT so lots of options available. Lose Haaland maybe? TAA downgrade to upgrade Carvalho? 0.6m itb

    Henderson 4.0
    TAA Robinson Gabriel Myko 3.9
    Palmer Saka Mbuemo Carvalho Rogers
    Vardy Haaland Wood

      - Lose TAA to upgrade Carvalho
      - Any route to Salah without losing Haaland?
      - Vardy > Welbeck but could easily wait a week or leave in Vardy

Losing Haaland is your choice, but there are many upsides to your team just using 2FTs that way.

Roll this, depending on Palmer and Rogers but likely ok?

    2FT

    Raya
    Lewis, RAN, Maz
    Palmer, Salah, Mbeumo, Rogers, Johnson
    Haaland, Jimi

    Valdi, Delap, Faes, Greaves

What to do with Havertz, hold one more week if Odegard plays, hold anyway, or just get in Welbeck/Wissa/Wood and reassess later Gw14/15 (who rotates with Rogers. I keep saying the ship has said and he is still smashing it). Had Rodger and Davis in the bench for Lewis and Havertz).

Selling Solanke GW12 and Johnsone to Saka Jackson was the plan

    Team ATM 3.7 ITB 1FT
    Raya
    Konate Lewis, RAN (Davis VDB)
    Salah(c) Palmer Mbeumo Johnson (rogers)
    Solanke Cunha Havertz

Arsenal is still getting low XGc away from home, maybe double defence when all fit is better, but the other side of the coin, is double attack better? , But up top right now, there are so many good options.

Welbeck/Wissa/Wood should match Havertz for cheaper even when Ode is back imo

My thoughts too. I wish I had pushed the Wissa button two weeks ago. Minutes minutes minutes was going through my head at the time. Saka looks streaks ahead at 2m more anyway

I like the plan of Solanke/Johnson to Jackson/Saka more.
If you have held Havertz for so long, it would be a shame to lose him now, just before the good fixtures. And I was never a fan of double defence, one goal and half your defence is gone.

Yes, that's the flip side thanks. It would be a shame, as kneejerk as it sounds tonight's game may have a lot of bearing on things (not Wissa in particular but the value of the third striker).

Not sure how much this helps, but I want him as soon as Odegaard is fit, which is hard to tell with Arteta being so useless to us.
It's a tough one, maybe stick to the plan.

I'd move Havertz. You look well set in midfield so can play around with a forward transfer.

Thanks, next week is a -4 then. I don't want spurs away games on the menu, whoever they are against.

It's not just the pricing FPL have got spot on, it is anyone can beat anyone this year.

Even Saturday night Cunha was by far the best player on this pitch, but the bare bones Palace team Still without a 10), were the better side I thought, but I am biased, First time XC of nearly 3 since the end of last season. (but that is probably the wolves defence)

        It is a fun season

You could do Solanke to Jackson and bench Johnson for Rogers and bring in Saka in GW13 if you don't like the hit.

Hey Crunchie! A proposition for you... A few of us here also chat on another forum (Nirvana). It's mainly FPL-based, with some extra comps/leagues/tourneys, but also has a lot more 'off-topic' chat than you'd find here with diverse threads on music, science, food, etc. There's around 70 active members (including Hairy Potter, The Knight's Template, Notloblegin, Joey Jo-Jo, Natedogg, Wild Rover) so it has more of a small community feeling and is easier to maintain a conversation even if we're not online at the exact same times. If you're interested in checking it out just drop a quick email to kurt-grohl@gmx.com and I can fill you in on how to get started.
