Matchday 6 of 2024/25’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) Fantasy kicks off on Tuesday evening and, as usual, we’ve got a team reveal from Louis/FPL Reactions – our resident European football expert who co-hosts the official UCL Fantasy podcast.

My plan all along has been to use my Wildcard this week, to attack the two upcoming Matchdays before activating Limitless in Matchday 8. Although Wildcarding isn’t as plain sailing as many would assume.

As well as having a huge, month-long gap between Matchdays 6 and 7 – where anything can happen – I also have debates over several players.

Do I jump off Leverkusen assets with tough fixtures ahead, taking current form into account? How tough of a fixture will Dortmund be for Barcelona assets? And how deeply do we invest in Arsenal, Liverpool and Stuttgart for their nice fixture runs?

All need taking into considering when building this Wildcard squad.

CURRENT TEAM

UCL Fantasy Matchday 6 team reveal:

To add more context as to why I’m using the chip this week, my current team is full of uncertain game time. Not only is this the case for both goalkeepers but there’s also Manchester City’s Rico Lewis (€4.8m), Dortmund’s Emre Can (€5.2m) and the injured Christian Pulisic (€7.5m). On top of that, most of the expected starters have tough-looking opponents.

The likes of Raphinha (€7.7m), Mateo Retegui (€5.3m), Florian Wirtz (€7.7m) and Erling Haaland (€11.0m) have served me well recently. Yet others have much better fixtures to target this week. Could backing against them bite me? Absolutely. But, as an aggressive manager, choosing to target the fixtures and shift funds elsewhere usually brings more success than failure.

So, let’s take a look at my current Wildcard draft. A lot can and probably will change from now until the deadline, of course, as UCL Fantasy is an ever-changing landscape.

    Which move do you prefer?
    A) Watkins to Isak
    B) Myko, Watkins to TAA, Wood

Keeping Watkins wouldn't be unreasonable either.

I actually made this change on Saturday night with view of Brentford's fixtures (particularly home ones) deteriorating and free up cash to switch up my forwards in the coming weeks (Wissa/Cunha)

So I'm rather enjoying the hype that has followed though 🙂

Realy need to fix defence to ensure a starting 11, thoughts please?

    A) Greaves to Munoz
    B) Greaves + Semenyo to Timber + Enzo (-4)
    C) Lewis to Timber
    D) Lewis + Semenyo to Saliba + Enzo (-4)

Have 4 FT's. Tempted by either of the two transfers below. Have the exact money for it..

    A) Cunha to Isak
    or
    B) Semenyo to Bowen

    Rest of team is

    Salah-Palmer-Saka-Rogers-Semenyo*
    Jackson-Wood-Cunha*

Tough one due to the players you're looking to sell having good fixtures this week, either transfer could backfire looking at this week only. As bad as Wolves were Cunha still could have picked up good points last night if a few things went his way. I'd probably go B of the two options.

      A

I can see that Bowen becomes more prominent if he's leading the line but there's only really 1 decent fixture in the next 6 games.

      I'd still be cautious.

Planning to WC in GW19 and so just thinking about the next three GWs. Priority transfers are out are Konsa, Gvardiol and Henderson.

    A - Gvardiol > Trent
B - Konsa > Gabeiel (subject to midweek CL update) and if out then Saliba
    C - Henderson > Allison

    Henderson
    Timber - RAN - Gvardiol
    Salah - Palmer - Saka - Semenyo
    Cunha - Jackson - Pedro

    Valdi - Konsa - Winks - Mosquero

Pretty disastrous week only because of choosing Saka captain over Palmer 🙁
Anyway time to focus on the next gw

    Flekken Fabianski
    Ait-Nouri Dalot Gabriel Faes Greaves
    Saka Salah Palmer Rogers Semenyo
    Cunha JPedro Jackson

    1 FT 5.9 ITB. 2.3 ITB

Thinking Dalot > TAA. No-brainer move for this week? Or anything else (save FT even?)

Similar to you, am pondering Semenyo to Bowen or Cunha to Isak. See above.

Disaster week - 46 points and down from 20k to 44k. Mainly thanks to going Saka over Palmer.

    Sanchez
    RAN Gvardiol Timber
    Salah Palmer Mitoma Saka
    Cunha Jackson Pedro

    Fabi Mbuemo Mazraoui Bednarek

Feel like I need to do something but it could just be an anomaly week.

    A) Mbuemo and RAN to 4.5 and TAA

I'm giving Cunha next two games. I hate my GKs but could be aiming at 3FTs for GW18. Thoughts?

    Fab
    Gab/Timber/Hall
    Salah/Palmer(c)/Saka(vc)/Bruno
    Jackson/Cunha/Pedro

    Flekken/Rogers/Greaves/Lewis

The GK you're thinking to get aren't scoring either (Raya owner here)

  15. leonickroberts

    Flekken / Fab
    Timber / Ait-Nouri / Porro / Hall / Van Den Berg
    Saka / Salah / Palmer / Mbuemo / Rogers
Cunha / Strand Larsen / Joao Pedro

2FT, £3.6m ITB (still recovering from my over-commitment to Haaland)

Thoughts on how this looks heading into the festive period?

Thinking Rogers + Flekken > Enzo + Sanchez/Raya this week, then moving on Mbuemo next week and Strand Larsen the week after, but would really appreciate any general steers on what needs addressing...

Howdy all! Quick question for today: I'm considering a few options regarding Enzo, so wanted to get some opinions on which of the following three sounds the best:

    1. Semenyo to Enzo
    2. Rogers to Enzo
    3. Roll with Semenyo and Rogers

As it stands, I've got Semenyo starting and Rogers benched for GW16. Any input is appreciated 🙂

Enzo's main advantage is price. He is so cheap that he enables another upgrade. You don't seem to need one right now, so I'd say it's not worth spending a free transfer.

I’m keeping Lewis for the kind fixture run. Could be a nice differential

Also considering, will in that case ship RAN instead, see below. Think Lewis could be handy, we`ll could get early team news from City in many of the upcoming rounds

      B this week.

Arsenal need to get back to clean sheets on the road, the last two seasons they were much tighter away from home.

Last Man Standing GW15 (702 teams)

    Safety score = 43
Top score = Joel Stout with 92

59 teams to be removed, 643 teams through to GW16.
Congrats to all the survivors 🙂

    Which is a better switch?

    A. Mbeumo to Bruno

    B. Wissa to Isak and Mbeumo to Iwobi

With the fixtures I'm likely to roll this week, unless there's midweek injuries to address.

B, but regret selling Mbeumo myself. Every move this season goes wrong, see below

Looking for a midfielder up to 6.3m:

    A) Iwobi
    B) Rogers
    C) Anyone else

Can’t have Enzo as I have Jackson, Palmer and Sanchez.
Mids are: Semenyo - Salah - Saka - Palmer - Bruno (who I am replacing).

Kulusevski is another option to consider

Really difficult to make this season tick. Would appreciate your help, mates:

    A) Sell one of RAN/Lewis for ARS or LIV def?
    B) Semenyo to Bruno or Bowen
    C) Get Isak for one of the forwards
    D) Save

    Raya
    RAN, Maz, Kerkez,
    Salah, Saka, Palmer, Semenyo
    Pedro, Cunha, Jackson

    Fab, Rogers, Robinson, Lewis

1 FT, 4.1 in the bank

RAN to Trent the best move, or Gabriel better if fit?

I think this would be my defender ranking

          1. Gabriel (when fit)
          2. TAA
          3. Timber (playing RB)

I think you have enough money to move Semenyo and Cunha to Bowen and Isak. The -4 is an issue but gives you a solid team IMO

Difficult because Cunha has two more decent fixtures and Bowen has just had arguably his best for a while with wolves at home. I do like Bruno long term of you can afford to fit him in

Might be worth a hold this week and re-evaluate

    Raya (Fabianski)
Hall, Gomez, Gabriel (RAN, Van de Berg)
    Salah, Saka, Palmer, Mbeumo (Rogers)
    Pedro, Cunha, Jackson

    3 FT, 0.9 ITB

Do I move Cunha to Isak this week or give him the Ipswich fixture? Mbeumo would be the one to make way for someone up to 6.4M

Yes I think it might be the correct option, then get Isak for Ipswich next week

    Thoughts? 0.2M ITB, 2FT

    Sels | Sanchez
    Ait-Nouri | Gabriel | Davis | Mazraoui | Harwood-Bellis
    Palmer | Salah | Saka | Mbeumo | Semenyo
    Isak | J. Pedro | Cunha

    Which one?

    1. Save FT
    2. Mazraoui>Trent & Mbeumo>Enzo
    3. Mbeumo>Gordon punt

    Raya
    Gabriel Aina Ait Nouri
    Saka Palmer Salah(C) Semenyo
    Pedro Welbeck Isak

    Bentley Mbeumo Gomez Greaves

2 free transfers, 0.6m in the bank

Would you be looking to sell any of Mbeumo/Semenyo/Welbeck? They haven't done much lately, but the team is on a roll lately, plus I'm not keen on the alternatives either. Would you consider something like Welbeck and Mbeumo to Enzo and Jackson?

Yes, the final sentence is very appealing.

      Welbeck to Cunha, Wood, Wissa.

      Long term, Bruno.

Brentford's home fixtures (if we're led to believe that they only perform at home) now worsens over the next 4-5.
