Just looking ahead to the League Cup Final on March 16th (gameweek 29)
A Liverpool v Arsenal final would mean blank gameweek for them plus
A blank week for Aston Villa & Chelsea
That's 8 of my current squad
I think I'll pencil that one in for Free Hit !

It feels a wrong week to take such a risk. Salah has a fantastic fixture, while the other two have a much, much trickier one. Maybe Isak?

As I see it, its fairly possible actually that they ban Cunha on Saturday. If they dont, they go into the christmas holidays and dont get the ban done until after new years. Its a clear cut case thats probably already been decided what they will do.

I doubt there's many big wigs at FPL.

In the FA there's normally one or two but this is pretty much an administrative/ managerial matter.

Or maybe they ban him on Sunday. He tries to enter the stadium and they show him the way out. He makes a scene and gets banned for the rest of the season.

A lot of people talk the talk but once the gambling industry comes knocking with a ton of dosh their heads are turned easily. Says a lot about the low integrity of these people. Id rather trust someone who never cared about these issues in the first place than someone who pretended to and then changed their mind for money.

Best combo on a WC? Already have Gabriel

    A - Henderson & Timber
    B - Allison & 4.6 (Milenkovic/Hall)

    1. Captain Mal
      • 1 Year
      11 months, 20 days ago

Here I'd probably take A, but as I told you yesterday, I think Alisson and Raul is the best combo.
I consider the gap between Alisson and Henderson or between Timber and Milenkovic significantly larger than the gap between Raul and Wood. Raul has the fixtures, Wood has the minutes, it's much closer than the other pairs.

      1. Jet5605
        • 11 Years
        11 months, 20 days ago

Yeah hard to argue with it. I just think Wood's fixtures (bre, TOT) which are both shown as red 4 could easily be green 2 given how BRE and TOT defend. Love Raul's fixtures but Wood just feels like a comfort blanket - 90 mins and on pens. Raul on pens too but not if he's off the pitch.

        1. Captain Mal
          • 1 Year
          11 months, 20 days ago

I think long term the fixtures aren't comparable either. Wood has only 2 superb (Wolves and Soton) fixtures in the next 10-12 GWs. But it's your call, if you insist on Wood, you might be right in the end.

    Elite 1000 template last GW

    Raya
    Gabriel, TAA, Timber
    Palmer, Salah, Saka, Semenyo
    Pedro, Solanke, Isak

I reckon the only change this GW will be Mbeumo coming in for Semenyo.

    Me vs. Elite 1000
    Fabs vs. Raya
Hall and Lewis vs. Gabriel and TAA
    Havertz vs. Solanke

Likely an L for me, unless Havertz scores a brace and an OG.

Capping Salah is a way for you to hedge. Either Salah does nothing which means Spurs likely got something from the game. Or he hauls and you lose but at least you do well at FPL. The worst scenario is Salah hauling and you getting nothing, which you are setting yourself up for by not capping Salah.

Not difficult at all to understand why Salah over Palmer this GW

      - Salah fully rested
      - Liverpool with an extra day of recovery compared to Spurs
      - spurs missing key players
      - still concede goals

      - Dycheball up and running
      - CS against Arsenal

      - Best defence in the league
      - ideally triple up on Arsenal
      - Saka the only Arsenal attacker to go for

Double Arsenal defence is a straightforward decision imo

Got 3 FTs but contemplating taking my second hit of the season to do a mini wildcard - will be priced out after tonight.

Cunha, Joao Pedro, Rogers, Ait Nouri >> Isak, Jimenez, Amad, Andersen

Fits my setup nicely with the Amad/Raul rotation and means my bench is decent for the restive run.

Good move - yay or nay?

Who would be the best replacement for RAN?

    A) Young
    B) Milenkovic
    C) Martinez
    D) Hall

    I already have Robinson.

Alternatively, should I wait a week for Muñoz to return and just accept RAN's price drops in the meantime?

Similar to me below. Not sure how well Robinson and Munoz rotate though which is why I’ll be going for one of them rather than both. In your situation I think I’d go B or D due to rotation options.

  27. ebb2sparky
    • 15 Years

Which move is better this week:
    1) Pedro to Raul (bench Rogers)
    2) RAN to Robinson (bench Hall)
    3) roll free transfer

If not doing 1) should I start Rogers instead of Pedro?

    Current team:
    Flekken (fodder)
    Gabriel, Timber, Hall (RAN, Harwood-Bellis)
    Salah, Palmer, Saka, Amad (Rogers)
    Isak, Jackson, Pedro

1 feels risky since Muniz could start and Pedro or Rogers could easily score.
2 seems like a great move for this week but by GW19 will I regret not going for Munoz instead?
