I think more upside in a Jota if fit vs. LEI/WHU vs. Bruno vs. WOL/NEW

Which set of moves look better? Had a great move planned but Saka injury really threw a spanner in the works

    A) Martinez + Rico + Cunha --> Henderson + Castagne + Isak (hold saka and bench if he's out)
    B) Saka + Cunha + Joao Pedro --> Bruno + Isak + Jesus (punty with Jesus)
    C) Saka + Cuna --> Bruno + Isak

    Current team:
    Martinez/Fabianski
    Gabriel - Timber - Hall
    Salah - Palmer - Saka* - Bowen
Jackson - Joao Pedro - Cunha

    Rico - Rogers - fodder

Sounds negative so good chance Saka starts..or maybe Arteta just stating the obvious and undeniable so no wiggle room for obfuscation..

Arsenal would be so much more likeable with a different manager.

He is likeable but you don’t like Arsenal

And you are annoyed by a manager keeping team news to himself, when he’s under no obligation to tell us everything

Correction: I like Arsenal, I don’t like Arteta. He comes across quite pompous and generally unlikeable, despite not having won a lot. I really liked Arsene Wenger.

Yes Wenger is my football GOAT

Arteta is likeable for us Gooners. Think the way we play at time rattles people and that’s where the dislike come from. I can’t see what’s unlikeable about him tbh

Then there’s someone like Ange who everyone loves but whenever they lose he’s horrible to the media

Tbh, Arteta isn’t a likeable manager. He has been talking about “the process” since 2019, even made Laca a scapegoat in the locker room yet no PL title since the great Arsene left the club.

Arteta’s coy pressers are also so annoying, you feel as if he is hiding something special yet it isn’t always that. I disliked him as an Everton player because he was quite dirty. He strikes me as a pretender too, the type who has a look of one who would snitch on you 😆 oily lego head isn’t the messiah

Accumulation of previous injuries left fairly untreated / reduced recovery time. Poor Saka. Arteta would have to try something different in the upcoming games.

Saka replacement shortlist if his injury is long term ish. Thoughts..

    Son
    Bruno
    Jota

    1. Yes Ndidi

Not a very long short-list, and not the most inspiring either. Bruno is ticking away nicely for all his detractors, Son is probably the obvious one, but Spurs are so hot & cold at the moment, and Jota is as always a minute risk.

Stick a pin in (I have Bruno, and wouldn't swap him for either of the others)

Probably very little chance that Arteta gives anything away re Saka prior to deadline, so I'm tempted to roll the FT. Have JP vs Brentford at the Amex to cover. There aren't any obvious replacements leaping out at me either.

    Alisson
    Dalot Timber Kerkez
    Salah Saka Palmer Bruno Enzo
    Wood Isak

    Muric JP Myko Robinson

    Roll?

So much driftwood, so little opportunity to get rid of it in a team with a value less than that of a third-day-old hot dog in New York in July (100.3).

    Flekken | Valdi
    Gabriel | Robbo | Murillo | Greaves | Faes
    Palmer | Salah | Mitoma | Saka | Rogers
    Isak | Vardy | Delap

nothing in the bank, 1 FT

Valdi needs to go. I need a real backup keeper.
Greaves, though finally healthy, is useless.
Faes is an OK backup, but I'm starting him this week and might have to star him or Murillo next.
Mitoma has one last week and then he's gone.
Vardy was a one-week punt, but might actually need to do more heavy lifting.
    Delap is inconsistent.

Can't help but hope for a longer-term Saka injury so I can use his funds to spread around, but even that will require spending or a WC.

No wonder I'm ranked in the 4.5M AFTER 48 points today.

With Saka, Mbeumo and Cunha probably needing to go, is it worth a -4 to get rid of all three?
