If saka injured long time, is it time to put haaland back in for the next 3/4 fixtures?

      I’m thinking haaland purely because:

1 - without saka would be easy to move funds around, could put haaland in with 2 max 3 transfers, and I currently have 2fts

2 - can’t find a real replacement for saka - Bruno or Son real contenders I guess… all the others are affordable as it is

3 - Fixtures, next three for City are very good, probably the best out there, if there is a time when haaland can start scoring that could be it

4 - city’s biggest weakness is the defence atm, conceding all the time, going forward are still a threat

But I guess you are all probably right, city are just doing so badly that they probably won’t improve any time soon.

It's the price that nullifies Haarland for me. Yes he will score, sometimes even haul but currently he's just not good value. And yes I'm eating my words from the beginning of the season when I said Haarland and Salah are essential and stay all season.

I’ve held onto Haaland and seen my rank blow up by about 1 million - it almost seems too late to sell that donkey at this stage.

I sold Haaland 7/8 GWs ago, so glad I did it obviously… but if I’d kept him and my rank had worsened because of it, I’d definitely keep him now, and if he’d do well over the next two, I might even Captain him V West Ham, Salah plays Man U and Palmer away at palace

I was just going to say before the Saka injury my plan was to pivot away from double Arsenal defence after Ipswich but its probably not a priority now as chances are whoever replaces Saka will be a money saving. Did look at how to get up to the robot just out of curiosity but it looks horrendous the amount of sacrifices it needs.

My biggest regrets/mistakes this season are, getting Haaland back in GW7 and not getting Bruno ~GW10. Now I'm considering not getting Bruno and getting humble robot from Humble FC.

My biggest regret was going for fixtures in defence on my wildcard rather than the proven defences and getting in Colwill and Van Hecke who I knew were crap beforehand and have fulfilled that expectation in spates while Everton and Forest continue to be good. Colwill and Van Hecke are about as much use as having an Ipswich or Southampton defender.

    Yaaay!

USYK defeats the obese Brit yet again. Great fight from the Ukrainian.
Last night, large amount of his punches successfully landed on the former heavyweight champ.

He also beat the shite outta the Nigerian-English boxer Anthony Joshua; since then we haven’t heard from AJ. Hope he is doing well.

Emphasis on Usyk tirelessly establishing himself in the cruiserweight class up to the heavyweight class. He has basically defeated everyone at their own backyard.

What a humble pill for the obese Brit. Post match conf, pompous Tyson says he won 😆

it'll be interesting. The answer given the magnitude of his price might not be another midfielder either (obviously it will be but that won't be the main part of the move). I can't see an obvious answer, they all come with question marks, particularly at this time of year.

Question is does his absence make Arsenal's attack significantly worse? Gut feeling is probably yes. Not on the evidence of yesterday but Palace were really bad. Arsenal were really poor when he missed the Bournemouth league game but they were a man down quite early on so its hard to know. Does the quality of the inswinging corners from the right suffer which could also impact Gabriel, they'll still have Rice for the other side.

He was back 17 days after his hamstring injury when he limped off for England in October and Carsley didn't think that was bad at the time. This feels a bit worse so I think best case we might be looking at the Spurs game after the FA Cup break in mid-January.

      Tricky one for me:

-Go for a direct Arsenal replacement like Martinelli/Odegard
-Most obvious replacement looks to be Son
-Punt on Jota, who is just coming back from injury
-Hope one of the city guys like KDB or Foden step up

Currently on option B myself as Spurs just keep on attacking. However the Saka to Son to Saka move wasnt a succes in the past for me

This Arsenal thing has me puzzled.
Was going to go to Havertz but Jesus looked good and they have plenty of rest time between games so Jesus coooould start most.
I just dont really see how they could start both Jesus amd Havertz if Ode, Rice and Partey are fit.
But prehaps I should just go Mateta for long term.

    What’s my first priority?

A, Get off double Arsenal defence, Forest & NewC are looking far more water tight, Raya > Dubravka/Sels etc

B, Cunha replacements Jesus, Mateta, Duran, Wood, Wissa or Jackson.

C, Saka replacements, those thinking he’s back next week need to watch the video of him leaving the stadium the guy could hardly walk even with crutches! Son, Foden, Bowen or go cheap

    #Raya
    #Timber, Milenko, Robinson,
    Palmer, #Saka, Bruno, Salah,
    Isak, Pedro, #Cunha

    Fabs, Enzo, Gomez, WanB

    .7

Im doing Saka and Cunha to Jota and Jesus most likely.

      Just 1FT or more?

I would put the arsenal defence bottom of the priority list as at least they will still play.

Saka being out and having a high value probably makes him a priority for me over Cunha.

You could maybe do something with Saka+ Cunha out for a -4 if you only have the 1 FT. Jota + Mateta or something like that maybe?

Mate I have been like this for the past 10 weeks. I see city's play and see haaland is aloof and no one gives him the service like he used to get. But looks like FPL demons might punish me for not holding him. I think leicester away would be the turning point for city. everton is a hard nut to break given their recent strong defense hold.

Oof. Looked at my bench yesterday morning and didn't like the look of two injured players on my bench. Decided to sell Welbeck and get in Ruiz. That led to me taking Rogers out of the first eleven and playing Ruiz. Funny how these micro decisions have such major impacts. I mean I just so happen to make that move last minute and Rogers gets his biggest haul.
