Before I get into bed with Santa... Is this GTG and also save a FT here for two next game week? 6.3m ITB.

    Flek
    Gabriel Timber Hall
    Salah Palmer Sarr Mbeumo
    J.Pedro Isak Cunha

    Subs: Enzo Robinson Fodder

Next week may be Mbeumo+Cunha > Rogers + Haaland if it tickles my fancy.

I have 2 FTs. Which of these is the best use of them?

    A - Pedro & Cunha -> Isak & Jesus
    B - Pedro -> Isak and save 1 FT
    C - Cunha -> Isak and save 1 FT
D - Stick with Pedro & Cunha and save 2 FTs

Had one man, I guess Cunha out then since you're probably going to be getting rid of him very soon anyway. Though Pedro has been dire for a bit.

Tbh I’ll probably want both Cunha and Pedro out within about 2 or 3 GWs so I suppose it probably boils down to which of these two scores more points over the Christmas period.

This is what I’m currently on. Pedro will, no doubt, punish me against Brentford but he’s been extremely frustrating to own and I feel like Isak is bound to outscore in the long term

Definitely not Fantasy Football Hub after their massive data breach followed by Will's crocodile tears, which then they swept it under the rug and had to audacity to turn to crowd funding/shares to prop up their business.

I’ve gone from Saka to Rogers with a 5 mid of Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo, Enzo & Rogers.

Used the cash to another premium TAA (from Greaves).

2.1m ITB, I can get to any player bar Son & Haaland in 1 move, when the next asset emerges.

Saka to TAA was my premium out, premium in move.

    Good luck all

Wouldn’t do it for Wood this GW. I’m half tempted by the Jesus punt myself but it’s one of those which will go wrong either way. Put him in and he’ll blank. Don’t put him in and he’ll score a hat trick.

      1. Ray85
        • 7 Years

Also he may not start up front now, likely to be pushed to RW in Sakas absence. I've gone for Martinelli as Arsenal cover.

Wood and Mateta have decent fixtures coming up.

I reckon he'll start and get 60-70 at least. Hes first choice LW and has been playing well last couple of games. Arteta needs to do everything he can to get last seasons Gabi back, and that'll only happen by giving him minutes. Can't see Trossard starting over him.

            1. boroie
              • 7 Years
              1 year, 1 day ago

I agree for the next game. But if he had a bad game or 2 do you not think Trossard would come in to replace him?

                • 7 Years
                1 year, 1 day ago

Maybe, but I think he'll keep Trossard as a sub as he's the only one that can really play both LW/RW well and is better coming off the bench. Gabi pretty much always seems to start and I think it's only time that he starts contributing more (hopefully!). I've gone for him as my Saka replacement personally. Might be a risk but I'm backing him to come good.

I think I’m doing saka to an arsenal mid for the next 2. Currently on Martinelli as I see goals in the next 2 and he could do well in saka’s absence but who would you go for?

    A. Martinelli
    B. Trossard
    C. Odegaard

Is he guaranteed minutes? Surely a bad game or two and the front 3 becomes…

Yeah I reckon he's guaranteed to start. He dropped off a bit recently but Trossard was pretty poor. Last couple of games Martinelli has played really well. He can looked good on the right too.

I reckon he'll go Gabi - Havertz - Jesus on Fri.

I see goals in their next 6. The opponents in that run have been quite shaky defensively this season.

anyone find it a bit mental there's a 5.6mil mid averaging 4 shots a match and we're nearly half way through the season? you have to go back to 17/18 since a player had more than 140 shots over the course of the season, in Kane.

Counterpoint: those who had Diaz + Jota to "cover" Salah at the start of the season.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Oh yeah, of course, like with anything in FPL it won’t always work. But my point is there is definitely such a thing as covering a more expensive players points with a cheaper alternative.

It doesnt work like that. Anyway what Watkins points? The last meaningful points Watkins scored were 12 in GW14 (Rogers got 8) and 7 in GW12 (Rogers blanked)

              • 7 Years

I feel like you’re proving my point… the last time Watkins (a £9m asset) scored big, he only beat my £5m asset by 4 points because one of his two contributions was to provide an assist for Rogers.

what for that one week only? lol. There is no such thing as covering another players points. You are talking nonsense. The players are comparable to the other players in the game only. Nobody 'covers' anyone else's points.

              In this scenario….

If Bruno was to score big (which is always the fear by not owning an expensive asset that has high ownership), it’s fairly likely that Amad would at least be gaining a decent amount of points too as United would be scoring plenty of goals meaning Amad has a good chance of scoring/assisting whatever goals Bruno has got to score big!

Wow, that's a way of viewing things.

My point is that he can potentially have one huge haul that ‘covers’ the second match where he does little. If he scores 16 in one and 0 in the other it’s still an average of 8, which is pretty damn good

    Thoughts on this WC?

Was set on playing in 19 but saves -4 which would spend on present team in moving out Saka and getting in Trent. One of Martinelli /Jesus won’t be long term but could be explosive this week- no Bruno but can move to United when fixtures get better in week 21

    Alisson
    Trent Gabriel Munõz
    Salah Palmer Martinelli Sarr
    Jackson Jesus Isak

    Fabianski Rogers Robinson Mykolenko

Interested to know if you would wait a week for WC? This would be team for 18 - would go Saka to Martinelli and Ben Johnson to Trent for -4

            Raya
            Porro Gabriel Hall
            Salah Palmer Enzo Amad
            Isak Jackson Pedro

            Bentley Saka* Robinson Ben Johnson

-4 before WC isn't optimal imo. That team doesn't look like it needs WC after that hit. WC now imo. I don't see you gaining anything but -4 pts by delaying WC with those transfers.

I am not selling Robinson (started the season with him also). He is best Fulham def and with Saka injured and Haaland not being worth the price, money is not that tight. I might consider Andersen as 5th def over Mykolenko if i needed more funds.

Worth a -4 to do Faes to Alexander-Arnold? Other defenders are Magalhaes, Greaves, Robinson and Milenkovic.

Also, would need to wait on Cunha ban to move him and use a hit on his replacement. So either a -4 or -8.

Different nationalities use first and second names differently. Some nationalities has the family name first. Best to let the players themselves decide

Virgil van Dijk prefers being called "Virgil" due to a family feud according to reports. No idea on the likes of "Darwin" for Nunez. But yeah, the likes of "Trent" is due to nothing more than pure laziness.

Anyway, is Dalot & Saka > Gabriel & midfielder up to 9.5m worth a -4?
    Choice is between:
Odegaard / Martinelli / Trossard (like for like & IPS)
Sarr (don't need the money, and not consistent in the slightest)
De Bruyne / Foden (nice upcoming run, and so mad it might be inspired!)

    Alisson

    Muric Myko Robinson Saka

It's odd Foden doesn't get a shout here. City due a rebound, great fixtures, Foden good stats considering the team's slump, and he's just grabbed a goal. Glad to beat the groupthink on here.

Not convinced City are due a rebound. They dont have fullbacks, defensive mids, wingers or strikers in the squad. Any other team would have already been relegated with such woeful squad building

The FPL community should band together and demand that all "content creators" only use results from the last 5 years when listing their results.

Tired of mid managers living forever on the 'achievement' of being top 1k in 2008 or being the 'national champion' in a country when that country had 50 active players.
