Probably Jesus starts up top? Maybe he starts in midfield, but no one can tell for sure.

I would like to roll this week but thinking about whether I need to go Havertz to Jesus. So what do you reckon?

Not sure he starts unless Jesus plays RW and Havertz CF. Don't think Arteta liked him as the left 8 but maybe dependant on opposition

“Yeah, because they were more aggressive than in the first game which we expected, but we didn’t understand whether or not which sequences we had to put and the spaces that we needed to create. So, we ended up playing too much with David very close his own goal and against them it’s a really bad game to play, and we adjusted a few things. When Rice came on, he changed the game, he gave us more dominance, still the same threat but we were much better.” – Mikel Arteta on whether playing Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus meant that there were defensive sacrifices

    Bench one
    A) Evanilson (CRY)
    B) Pedro (BRE)
    C) Sarr (Bou)
    D) Kulusevski (Nfo)

Pedro is on penalties and faces the weakest defence, Evanilson plays at home and Bournemouth should score a few, Sarr and Kulusevski have been doing the business lately but have really tricky fixtures. Also, I own Sels, so maybe that should be enough reason to bench Kulusevski?

No. It's too early. Go with 1 keeper 3 defrnders and minimal hits. Cleansheets seem rare so no point taking too many hits or burning a WC that'll reap more rewards later in the season.

Struggling to decide between these 4
    A) Gordon
    B) Jota/Diaz
    C) Maddison
    D) Sarr

I'm closest to going with Gordon, could be decent double up with Isak, however he's not getting 90mins.

Maddison, Jota, Diaz I think are all good options when on the pitch but again it's the minutes.

I do also like Sarr but I think the fixtures could be tough, Bournemouth no push overs, ok Southampton looks good, but then straight into Chelsea.

Who should I go with to replace Saka?

    1. Hantakun
      • 15 Years
      11 months, 14 days ago

I’ve done Saka to Sarr as a festive punt. I liked how this move both allowed me to go JP to Isak and still have the freedom to upgrade Cunha or Mbuemo or a 4.5 defender with a spare £2m in the bank. Of course there are no guarantees that Sarr will earn me a satisfying amount of points.

Of your other alternatives I probably like Gordon the best.

Yeh I'm between Sarr and Gordon i think.

Safe play might be Sarr, split my odds rather than the double up on Newcastle attack, but the double up could be decent, his underlying stats are better.

Gordon then. With Arse the points and returns will be spread around
Sarr is Palace and will be another CC flop.

I think you need to idk the assets objectively.

I had Amad (and even Mazraoui still somehow) and still got Bruno.

He is set and forget and the easiest pick outside of Salah and Palmer.

He is captain material in GW21 when everyone has hard games.

He takes set pieces and most importantly penalties.

          He is the teams talisman.

          He’s a 90 minute man.

Amad at his price and what he offers is merely rotation with your 7th and 8th attacker.

Bruno is set and forget regardless of fixture.

Only Salah and Palmer put up better xGI than Bruno as your Saka replacement.

United have Southampton GW21, Leicester GW29 which are two standout fixtures compared to any other team those specific game weeks. He also has decent fixtures outside of those key weeks.

United are a mess, but they’re putting up the stats. Just a matter of putting the chances away. Only 2 teams are underperforming their xG more than United.

And do you watch United, you’d see how they have the xG they do and you’d wonder how they aren’t scoring more.

Saw a few discuss it earlier.

But you need a DGW24 plan.

TC v AM in DGW24 boils down to:
      A) 3rd LFC + 1 set of Salah points
      B) Manager points

I don’t think AM comes even close to TC that week.

AM is over 3 weeks and the DGW gives you 4 Liverpool games and should out score TC in DGW24 imo, with AM projected to get 30 points on current models.

        1. Zladan
          • 8 Years
          11 months, 14 days ago

Yes but you can’t have 3 from the team in the meantime for the DGW.

Like I said the equation/question is:
Can a manager in a double outscore a player and a set of Salah points.

You’re effectively betting against Salah in a DGW. Huge risk imo.

Eve & Bou are not push overs in defence, but would expect pool to win them, having 2 players plus Slot seems good to me. I expect Salah to score very well this week (hopefully as good as last week!), with that in mind could be prepared to take on the 'risk' you mention.

The double will be Bournemouth away and Everton away. Both tricky fixtures. I reckon the projected goals will be somewhat similar to Leicester at home and whilst Salah is in this run of form I am thinking of striking whilst the iron is hot.

I also dont really see a standout 3rd liverpool asset for the double so quite like using the AM chip and getting Slot over the likely double in 24.

Yes I agree there is def some risk involved but I am currently 500k rank so I reckon it's a risk worth taking. The last couple of seasons I have been around 5k rank which I think is impossible now for me this season but I am willing to take a few risky moves to hopefully move up the ranks to get a somewhat respectable rank.

As for the maths. The manager isn’t getting 30 in that game week alone. If you compare LFC 31-33, it’s only predicted 3 points less than 24-26!

Whereas in the DGW in isolation, Salah alone is predicted to beat Slot. That’s before you add your 3rd asset points.
